  1. Glasgow don't need to outbid teams, they have far more to offer than just paying top dollar, great track, great stadium and facilities, good fans who know what they're taking about unlike some clubs, definitely the team riders want to sign for, plus guaranteed future no issues with stadium owners and rent etc. Try not to be bitter, embrace what they bring to the table it can only be good for the championship in attracting riders we may not see.

  2. I am normally savvy to the lineup early but admit I have had so much on my plate at the moment I am not savvy to the 1-7 for next season. I can take an educated guess and name 5 of the 7. I don’t think there will be any surprises or shocks. The top two will maintain. The next two brothers will improve. One will improve slightly and the remaining two will hold their own. Will be enough to walk into the playoffs. Hearing rumours that Glasgow are out bidding everyone else in their desperation to win the league. If true, then I hope their fans turn out in big enough numbers to cover the expense.

  4. No no no he’s coming over for the £90 a point and no guarantees and leaving the polish league and big money for his love of the stripes. Remember everyone is getting checked this year to make sure that’s happening, BSPA are being strict and all that.

  5. Money doesn't prevent injuries and it's injuries that have beat Glasgow the past two seasons

  6. Marcin coming in at the start of the season will really improve he arrived for the later stages last year and scored well at home from the start i think he scored double figures every home meeting he only rode away at Edinburgh struggled with heavy track conditions but got round it easy enough and he will get the hang of it at berwick where he had ignition troubles with his bike and poole where his polish engine was just far too strong for the slick track and he only had one bike over with him he had a spare bike that cookie loaned him but didn’t really suit his size but he said he liked he tracks a real racer expect his to put at least 2/3 points on his ave i think after his first ride next season it will go from 5 to just over 7 points

  12. Can't remember the last time Poole built a decent team, well we've cleaned up in the championship for the last two seasons, god help the rest when they do build a decent team then

  13. Good on Glasgow, nowak is an entertaining rider who is willing to get stuck in. The championship needs more riders like this, who cares what deal he's on,its nobody's business at the end of the day.

  14. The team seems a bit top heavy to me, but the three heat leaders should get the Bears to 35 points at every away track, depends what the other 4 can pick up.

  15. seen him in a number of meetings in Poland, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, and in each he's had really bad rides and falls. good rider though, with a good style for a tall lad, but i'll stick to what i've seen

  16. Mr Blobby, now I don’t know you, and I don’t come on this forum often, but I’ve been told of your repeated telling stories about my son and where he has signed to! You appear to be just trying to make trouble with a 16 year (which is quite sad) as you are saying the same lies over and over! Let me clear it up for once and for all - Ace signed for the first club that asked him, and that was Glasgow! And that was even before the matches that took promoters attention, yes he had quite a lot of offers and calls, but he stuck true to his word and stayed with the club he agreed to first! Now hopefully you can stop sprouting lies that you ‘claim’ to be in the know about!!! Thank you -

  17. Speedway has always been 15mins of sport and prices go up every year and fans will choose what they do it’s their call will you be going?

  18. Yep I’ve just had a polar bear chap my door for a heat.

  19. No speedway for 15 years , happy to pay an extra £16 for the whole season.

  20. Jorgensen has just finished with his highest Prem average yet and was barely at reserve in 2022 (4 matches). To me he seems a good signing for Lynn if he stays.

  21. At times over the last two or three seasons Jorgensen has been the only Lynn rider worth watching at home, he is exciting and rides Lynn well, and to be fair his away form improved too in 2022. This time last year I'd have agreed with you but for me he gets in on merit for next season. Cares about the club too which goes a long way.

  25. No need to apologise…..it was clear to most of us.

  26. How about Frederick Jacobsen, he is definitely better than his current average. Maybe our race night could be the issue there.

  27. With Plymouth not running I'd look to seeing Ben Trigger return. Max James must be a highly likely addition and I'd be happy to see all of the others return bar Dan who has outgrown the league.

  28. its possible decisions on young aussies are based purely on finance during these times, with worral, lawson and cooks theres already the foundation for a title winning team pretty sure matt can fill in the 3 blanks without gambling with the costs
    2 points
  29. With the same majority of riders from the last couple of years I cant see the home wins coming though, that is the issue. Wouldnt touch KK with a barge pole either
    2 points
  30. Fair enough if you don't rate him but many do and he'd soon ride Poole well if he was there every week and was privy to the right set ups and lines as a home rider. I just think talented young riders usually flourish under the Poole set up and he'd do the same.

  31. No to Jack Smith, rather have Ablitt back.
    2 points
  32. He does but you would also think a team would be built to the points available, not 2 points under like this year.... So anything is possible

  33. He actually said that he wants to learn different tracks in UK to help him become a better rider

  39. And also because with CVS at the helm riders know they are going to get treated properly and get paid on time.Thats one of the reasons why most of them are quite contented to remain at Monmore.

  41. Definitely daft. Either green on the rules or team place already secured for 2023 regardless of average. Arguments for both sides rider development on one side vs meetings being affected on the other. Jody Scott signed for Oxford on 3.00 and the day after saw his averge double (genius signing).

  44. Both Dolye and Rew have suggested Ipswich is a well run club - you can read into that what you will but the Ipswich promotion have been around via contiuation from Louis snr to Louis jnr many years - I'd have given my right arm for a secure promotion like that! No sports team that I am aware of are on a sound financial footing - particuarly speedway ones - the star last week covers the ruination of the old Belle Vue promotion. I reckon Lambert will have set them back a fair bit - fair play if you can afford it but I'd rather be watching speedway each year and have it all gambled in some S*8t or bust move! Also 2022 was the best Witches season I can remember since 2005 at the top level - worth remembering!

  48. Archie has been mentioned on being in the new comets team, and I would like to have Luke Harrison in the comets team as well, but I will be happy just to have the comets back

  49. Guessing Ashton Boughen will be at one of two places - Mildenhall or Oxford. Would be a huge permanent acquisition for either. I'm hearing his older brother Kiean might also be looking for a team spot as well.
