  1. Should have just binned this off if you’re not going to hold it at every track. Three clubs get a home advantage while the others don’t, just devalues the whole thing.

  2. Its such a good signing, i dont think kyles been 100% fit the last few seasons, absolute bargain average too.

  3. Not according to the interview with Ablitt in the Star.. A two year plan was drawn up re team averages it states, hence they had planned in this seasons team and then had to make changes.. However, let's be honest, thinking a plan would last two years is probably a bit naive... Having plans lasting ONE year is an achievement sometimes...

  4. In fairness it was the Danny Ayres meeting where he got 1. By comparison Morley scored 2 and Hook got 3 and the podium was made up of Lawson, King and Heeps. As ive said previously im glad Congreve has got a NDL chance but its going to feel a lot worse if riders on comparable signing averages like Hodder, Simpson, Butcher and even Bebee miss out because of a dubious loophole that has been slammed shut previously.

  5. What he was or wasn't last season is entirely irrelevant. By virtue of the Diamonds expulsion he effectively didn't exist last season. There was a lot of misinformation from the Diamonds promotion so who really knows but my understanding was that the Diamonds promotion didn't have a licence to employ work permit riders but could sign Congreve because he was able to take out an ACU licence. Not sure on what basis. There was plenty of content about it on the Diamonds 2022 thread at the time with most expecting his to be an assessed 2.00 as a result. The fact that he ended up being an assessed 4.00 didn't really matter as the Diamonds were incredibly under strength anyway. As I stated before it probably made the Diamonds line up look more acceptable than it ever was in practice. I think the key point is he couldn't have been a foreign rider because the Diamonds promotion didn't have the appropriate sponsors licence to employ such a rider. There really is no point in trying to make sense of any of this. The fact that he appears to have been given an assessed NL average which doesn't fit any known criteria tells you everything you need to know. It's all just made up to suit.

  7. Lol. That’s right. Ben Cook will be a fans favourite within a month of the start of the season. A better rider than Batch next season and certainly better than Hans. Averages might not yet show it but potential is big. Fast gater, never gives up and is fast. But remember, he is a pirate first and foremost.

  9. Credit to the lad, travelling half way round the world to race in the NL. We have had some English lads not willing to travel a lot shorter distance in England over the last couple of years. He deserves a chance in my opinion, just be good for someone in authority to clarify how he ended up with a 4.5 average.

  10. When you're paying £22 for 15/16 minutes of racing you want to see Emil racing not Worrall and Hans!

  11. Correct, although it would be nice if the management named the team asap to stop all the drivel being posted on here

  14. I think I’m the only non - Birmingham supporter who likes the look of there team sedgeman turned himself around massively from a season where he was dropped by both his championship and premier team into a two point increase in his average and performing well at Sheffield too. Nick Morris scored himself out of position elsewhere this season, should be getting at least 5 rides a night so I’m hoping he does well. surely everyone can agree that the side looks stronger than what I did in 2022

  19. Peaky Blinders and Happy Valley outstanding in my opinion. As for American football, having endured it on holiday... Any game that stops for adverts is a joke. I'd love to see them play either code of Rugby or Gaelic or Aussie Rules too full on for 80 mins without being able to stand watching for 80% of the game. Pansy game

  20. Richie?take it you mean Lawson.Think they would have kept the same Heat-leaders though.Think that was the reason for the “lowered averages”.Riders have been doing it for years.

  22. Easily on pace with Morley, Atkins, Coles on the Island....maybe not ahead but on pace. Certainly looks capable of NDL heatleader and only thing that is likely to hold him back will be his inclusion in my dream team.

  23. Hume had opportunities and offers elsewhere this coming season but Louis refused to release him just in case he was needed. I wonder if Louis feels he owes him a team place now that all the others have moved on and completed their teams. He should do to be honest. You can’t deny the lad the opportunity to earn a living elsewhere and then not end up using him yourself.

  33. Worrall was definitely in at Peterborough so I wonder what changed? No idea why you’d suddenly take him out and replace him with Andersen, especially when there was no need to average wise. Very strange if true.

  35. Well I think it was as there was nearly two months between Glasgows last home league meeting and their home semi final v Poole but looking at their scores one could argue that Basso and Brennan were starting to burn out in October.
    1 point
  36. Absolutely. Hume from what I’ve heard wanted a move to Leicester.

  37. But if you consider it a bottom end of three by putting Worrall and Rew in the equation then I think P'boro have the edge. The two engine rooms are similar with Basso's potential probably giving P'boro the edge again, however Doyle and Emil blow Puk and Noddy away every day of the week. Both get marmalised by Lynn regardless

  39. The race format doesn't work with a "balanced" line-up, unless you've got a guaranteed high scoring reserve. Two big name riders will cover a majority of the heats, especially 13 & 15.

  41. Just for a chuckle, promoters up & down the league would go into meltdown 1. Niels Kristian Iversen 7.59 2. Benjamin Basso 6.81 3. Artem Laguta 6.00 4. Emil Sayfutdinov 6.00 5. Chris Holder 7.16 6. Ben Cook 4.06 7. Jordan Jenkins (RS) Ave: 37.62

  44. Tbf Baggy. Without that sponsorship that's happened in the last few weeks we 100% wouldn't have been running this season

  45. Completely disagree. You don’t pass up the opportunity of signing Sayfutdinov if the chance is there. Just look at the excitement generated on your Peterborough thread when Carpman dangled his rod and hooked a few! A top two of Doyle and Sayfutdinov will get the turnstiles clicking and generate huge enthusiasm. Don’t completely agree with your tail end comments either. You can forget Thomas because every club has a rising star and he’ll be fine. Rew is a top talent, I’m convinced he’ll be fine too although you can never be sure until the action starts. That just leaves Hume who admittedly will be one of the weaker reserves in the league but he’s an improving rider who’ll mix it.
