  1. Should have just binned this off if you’re not going to hold it at every track. Three clubs get a home advantage while the others don’t, just devalues the whole thing.

  2. About 8 pints and a few rum and cokes

  3. Little Holder always been a complete knob end. Thinks he’s better than he is. Big brother also now a very angry man and past it. Sad as used to like them both. Just to add to the Oz egos, Tungate also always been a miserable, moaning twit. Wouldn’t want any of them at Peterborough. Come over here and think they own the place.

  6. What he was or wasn't last season is entirely irrelevant. By virtue of the Diamonds expulsion he effectively didn't exist last season. There was a lot of misinformation from the Diamonds promotion so who really knows but my understanding was that the Diamonds promotion didn't have a licence to employ work permit riders but could sign Congreve because he was able to take out an ACU licence. Not sure on what basis. There was plenty of content about it on the Diamonds 2022 thread at the time with most expecting his to be an assessed 2.00 as a result. The fact that he ended up being an assessed 4.00 didn't really matter as the Diamonds were incredibly under strength anyway. As I stated before it probably made the Diamonds line up look more acceptable than it ever was in practice. I think the key point is he couldn't have been a foreign rider because the Diamonds promotion didn't have the appropriate sponsors licence to employ such a rider. There really is no point in trying to make sense of any of this. The fact that he appears to have been given an assessed NL average which doesn't fit any known criteria tells you everything you need to know. It's all just made up to suit.

  7. Arch, you need to remember,, Poole have never had a bad rider,,, they are always brilliant, or going to be brilliant,,, and if they have a bad meeting,,, there is always an excuse why.

  13. And therein lies the problem with diluting the points limit again. Improve your average lose your place it is just a ridiculous scenario, what other sport penalises for improvement.

  15. Doyle finished 1, 1, 1, 5 jack finished 2, 5, 2, 1 for me I prefer a scoring system that emphasises winning meetings like the Grand Prix system its like if they played the ashes and England won 4-1 but in the match the Aussies won they scored so many more runs that overall they scored the most runs and were awarded the series

  17. I'm pleased for Congreve he was well out of his depth in the championship, no idea how he has his current average but personally I can see him putting a couple of points on it. The league looks fairly strong which is good.

  23. Top prize £20 not enuf to split. Not a bit of wonder rye house/lakeside closed, if that was the top prize for a 50/50 draw, think the comets fans bought most of the tickets as well

  27. The plan is. Is to have no plan. That way the plan can not fail. Whatever the plan was or wasn't it certainly failed Nathan. I can only thank him for his efforts last season and wish him well for this. Remember Nathan, once a Pirate always a Pirate. I for one would welcome him back on board anytime. .

  33. It's been a pretty simple equation for years now, prepare it slicker and the racing can be very good like the League Cup meetings last April and the Leicester v Poole match right at the end of the season. In the summer its loaded with clay and moisture resulting in terrible racing however its graded. Can't see anything changing though unfortunately!

  34. I'm previous years the Pairs (& fours) have been held as a one-off event, so unless it was held on a Championship track, 3 legs spreads out the home advantage. I probably would've suggested every track host a round, except clubs in the NL, as they already have more fixtures?

  35. All the fixtures will be in september -november

  36. Trouble is away riders prob like Birmingham more than Plymouth, so will be harder to get a big home average like he did at Plymouth.

  37. I like Alfie, but he has a lot to prove, away from Plymouth [2.89 away average in 2022]
    1 point
  38. Alfie is definitely better than just a reserve if u look at his home scores no2 for Plymouth 8/9+ bonus nearly every meeting

  42. Not according to the interview with Ablitt in the Star.. A two year plan was drawn up re team averages it states, hence they had planned in this seasons team and then had to make changes.. However, let's be honest, thinking a plan would last two years is probably a bit naive... Having plans lasting ONE year is an achievement sometimes...
