  1. Yes there would be a ban - Nicki would be deemed to be withholding his services and get a 28 day ban along with a 28 day facility granted to Peterborough. With regards your second point, this is what pi$$es me off so much with British speedway promotions. Everybody is well aware Nicki has left yet you hear nothing from the club who treat their supporters like muppets. Almost straight away they should have come out and said “Nicki has left and we are working on our options” instead of the silent treatment which makes the whole situation worse. It will be embarrassing tomorrow and have such a worse effect when he isn’t there, especially after banging in 18 points last night in Poland. I try not to compare football to speedway but there is no way this sort of situation goes on. You only have to look at the recent scenarios with Chelsea, Spurs and Leicester with their managers. All 3 confirmed a departure right away and said they would be working on replacements and will update in due course. Communication with your fan base is so important nowadays.

  2. I'd be stunned if you ever see them pair in a Buster team. I don't think any other club owner would after that night either, and rightly so imho.

  3. Buster owns the club, he sees value in it. Pay what he wants or deal with what you're getting. The problem for you guys (and absolutely get the upset) is some Billy Bigbollox sold the fans a pipe-dream then didn't hold to his end of the bargain. The only way to remove Buster at no cost is find a track outside a 10 mile radius of the current club & become a totally different name. Buster isn't your problem

  4. Disagree. We all can see he still does well in Poland, it’s the age old problem of what he’d put in here isn’t it. Would you be confident that he’d be giving it 100% in every race and every meeting here like Jason Doyle does for example? I certainly wouldn’t. He may only have done half a lap here but even in that he was left for dead by Doyle and Erik Riss! That’s not exclusive to Pedersen either btw, I’d have the same concerns if Lambert, Dudek etc etc agreed to come over. It keeps getting said over and over, but that’s why Jason Doyle is worth his weight in Platinum over here. He’s pretty much a one off unfortunately when it comes to GP riders.

  5. No booing whatsoever. Poole fans clapped the opposition at the beginning and Scott Nicholls got a cheer from the Poole fans as he is held in high esteem. Didn’t hear a single boo all night.

  6. It is because the only professionals in the sport (in the UK) are the riders... The rest are well intentioned amateurs doing their best to appear professional, but often without the necessary skill set required to carry off the tasks they have been asked to do/volunteered to do.. The professional marketing of the sport as a collective, rather than going it alone at each club in a small way, and the governance of the sport through the use of a credible operating model, is, sadly, a huge opportunity never taken up by those "well meaning amatuers". Hence, being insular, working in secret, and deep mistrust is often the reputation earned in the opinion of many of it's current, fanbase, and (probably more importantly), its ex fanbase, who still follow the sport closely...

  7. Just to confirm, Gladiators TV will be streaming all Plymouth home matches either side of the BSN streams, EXCEPT for this coming Tues and the following Tues meetings. so Plymouth vs Poole and Plymouth vs Oxford BSN Series are not being Live Streamed. All other home meetings in 2023 will be live streamed.

  8. Someone needs to pay what he wants for the club then ain't they, rather than playing 'Fantasy Speedway' & hoodwinking the fanbase? But it's all Buster's fault ya know

  9. Not my favourite either. But he is Box Office,he is still a100% effort.

  10. It's just a shame that this is our final season at the showground and what should have been a celebration of over 50 years of Peterborough speedway has turned out to be so farcical and controversial The supporters have been left in the dark for many months now about possible takeovers and team building for the new season, which they do not deserve. Someone please have the decency to tell us now what is going on with Pedersen. The club has the best supporters in the country. Don't treat them like mugs !

  11. And to think it was almost gone this winter. What a boring Easter Sunday it would've been without the derby

  12. Creates for good entertainment, nobody can come away today and say they weren’t. Good racing, hard racing and a bit of handbags.

  13. Just to clarify, it was on the exit of turn two, and Ben was on the outside. What Craig is saying bears no resemblance to what happened. It was a tough move, he deserved to get excluded, although Ben surely knew that was what Craig would do. I'm guessing they weren't the best of friends last year, having seen that. Of course, because it's Craig, it naturally created a lot of aggro, and because it was on Ben, I think that particularly made it worse. He's such a fabulous rider, but he really is his own worst enemy. The tweet makes it sound like he planned to put him in the fence though, which whether he did or not, it'd be a bad look if he didn't get a ban. Not what I want to see, but you just can't let people say things like that. It's a dangerous enough sport as it is. Lost in all of that was Kyle Bickley crashing straight into Ben's bike and going for a horrible tumble. I was glad to see him walk away from that, because he was just collateral.

  20. We have made an early decision to postpone Monday’s Premiership fixture against Leicester at the East of England Arena. The forecast has been monitored throughout today and the situation hasn’t changed.

  23. We have had one meeting and we are talking about weak links deary me . they should give them at least six meetings then we will have a better idea. Ace will progress as the season unfolds and he gains confidence.

  25. Feeder club lol think both Pboro and Lynn are feeder clubs for each other they basically use the same group of riders each season - definitely Buster should sell one or the other both clubs would benefit from a sale and include Alitt as a Pboro asset lol

  26. No Lynn and Peterborough cocked team building up, now what's the common denominator here?

  27. He is, but he's not better than Worrall who you want him in for. I find the dislike towards Worrall odd from the Panthers fans.

  28. Only worth buying if we have a guaranteed future after this season. Another dreadful season in store for KL and Peterborough, Dreadful decision making in the winter has already led to both clubs needing new riders. KL will get dragged down with us the longer Buster stays, More Jorgensen and budget sides that aren't up to scratch at Lynn with no play-off Speedway so KL fans should be siding with Tomalin purely due to the fact that it will benefit KL in the long run.

  30. Season over???? Tai is more interested in bashing British Speedway rather than competing in it, Lambert has already made it known that he wants to focus on Poland and the GP's. Buster has to leave the club if this isn't our last season in the Sport, If he would've signed Holder then none of this would be happening right now.

  34. Overall, it was a good meeting. I counted 15 passes, including the first staging of heat 9. Chris Harris doing exactly what's expected of him, and riding a fantastic line through turn four. He definitely moved the boards out more than once tonight. Ben's not quite firing yet but a good enough start and I'm sure it'll come. Claus looks exactly like I remember from 2019. Cami seems to think we shouldn't expect the 2019 Vissing this year, so maybe he'll raise his expectations a bit having seen him this weekend. 17+3 over the two legs left him with more points than Tom and Ben. Marcin is definitely missing a bit of speed but he won heat 8 both times, so that's a good foundation. His partnership with Harris is looking strong (Harris was brilliant in heat 10), as is Vissing + Basso. Complin is entertaining, although quite untidy, and Ace just needs time, I think. I think Edinburgh will be good at home, but I think the combination of Bickley and Fredriksen is too weak. I think they could carry one of them (as every team will need to at reserve), but I'm not sure they'll get away with both, and I'm not sure I'm seeing much room for improvement. Jacob Hook, on the other hand, I think is a good one for them. 8 rides, 10+2, only two last places. The best reserve of the four on show. Unfortunately, my guess is he'll end up at 2 and struggle. The Tigers had issues at 2 all year last season - one thing that our team for this year will probably resolve.

  38. When I read the Regulations the other week, I was looking for something on no8's as something I saw but thought it only applied in the NDL but it applies in all 3 leagues. From what I gather, if you are missing a rider you can now have an AR(Additional Rider) (old no8's)who can take any of the other riders rides up to a maximum of 7. Before, a no8 could only take r/r rides. There are stipulations of the level of rider chosen for each league. (In Prem a rider up to a Champ CMA of 4, in Champ a rider up to an NDL CMA of 3, if memory serves me right)

  39. Enjoyable meeting, good performance from Krosno, Lebedevs EF proved costly on last bend whilst leading. Fun between the crowd and Doyle too..

  41. Holder being a complete co*k wasn't Busters fault. And trying to get him in the team was MT's fault, trying to run before he could walk imo. Your 18 point maximum man apparently wont come back after 100 yards on track. If NP had bagged 10-12 points in that meeting no one would want Holder over NP. Buster deserved some credit for getting NP in imho. I bet it's not Buster who has told him not to return.. It will be his Polish club or NP, or a bit of both.

  42. As I’ve said before only way Holder will line up for Pboro is if the club is sold - that’s the only way it ever happen. So Tomalin needs to dig deep and buy Buster out both Panthers and Stars would benefit from this sale .

  43. To be honest all the talking to him in my opinion won’t help, his best form unfortunately no longer exists and he is a rider on the downward slide. It comes to every rider in the end and I’m afraid his time has come.

  44. I agree that Doyle is a one off but I think Pedersen would have been a top rider here and finished in the top three or four of the averages. Very disappointing that he jacked it in so soon (without knowing all the facts).

  45. Much the same as after the Masters testimonial, really. Neat, tidy, seems confident on the Monmore track. Early days, of course.

  46. It's not a risk signing Bridger. It's not a risk signing Kasprzak. What it is is plain stupidity showing they have no 'up to date' Speedway knowledge. Probably add Kildemand to the stupidity list too. A risk is an up & coming 16-19yo nobody has heard or seen before. I'm amazed King's Lynn haven't called Topinka yet. I'm not sure money is much of an issue. What seems to be happening, at least for a decade now, is that there's a selection of 'personally known friends' rider's & they just work with those. There just is no 'thinking outside the box' going on within the King's Lynn management whatsoever.

  47. Could have been bigger also if Rew hadn’t made errors whilst leading which cost him points. Ifs buts and maybes. Riss was the biggest factor here, normally good for 7 or 8 at home when fit and healthy rather than the two he managed. That’s a 10+ point swing in the scores and would no doubt have been more comfortable for the Witches. Fair play to him for giving it a go, but in hindsight maybe they should have gone R/R.
