TJ is what he is. He can be very frustrating, from race to race, let alone meeting to meeting, as we witnessed when he rode for Newcastle. Genuinely a nice bloke, but that doesn't alter the fact he isn't a 9 point rider in the CL, 7-7.5 at best. Berwick, at the minute, have too many weak links in their 1-7 and will struggle to reach the Top 6 with it.6 points

Hope bandits get their team sorted out before the league campaign, got a lot of time for the fans and promotion. I can't imagine etheridge having as bad a home meeting again, looked bit tentative after his injury. Can't help thinking be stronger dropping TJ and a 2 pointer for couple 5 pointers but that was just based on last night's performance may get it right.6 points

We’re paying for fillet, the oap’s want to pay for brisket, and last night, I was served pedigree chum.5 points

It was far more than a little unhappy - I honestly believe it was close to a full blown brawl Credit to Brennan who remained calm and unmoved despite the tantrum from Wright. Any kind of reaction and I think Wright would've lost it and waded in Perhaps not a mountain but certainly a little bigger than a mole hill5 points

The £20 admission across the board and all age groups is a scandal, I`ve said for along time that at Championship level £1 per race is more than adequate so the likes of me should be paying £15 with OAP`s etc paying £10. To ask anymore to pay more is just clouded business thinking and those promotions who do charge £20 across the board without concession seemed to be thinking lets screw what little customers we have left for as much as we can, lets face it most Championship crowds season on season are dwindling and moves like this will see one or two clubs at this level struggle, sadly I believe Berwick will be one. It is to be hoped there will be a reconsideration of this, time will tell. Many supporters I spoke to last night before during and after the meeting seemed to be of the same thinking, this season many will pick and choose the meetings and if last night was anything to go by if Berwick start losing at home they wont bother at all so to that end its played one lost one. I personally didn't renew my season ticket for the first time in the last five seasons, it seems many followed suit. The good news for Berwick is that they wont have to face a team as good as Glasgow every week, but a home defeat to Edinburgh and then Redcar will have some voting with their feet and what is sure is that nothing empties a stadium quicker than a few home defeats. As for the meeting, very impressed by Glasgow, after many years of trying and much money being thrown at it, I think this Glasgow has what it takes to become Championship Champions. As for Berwick a lack of heat winners and heat advantages at home just wont do and one look at the scoring charts will tell you where the weak links are, that will need addressing, either the riders need to change or the club will need to change the riders.5 points

Tom was called up for an FIME meeting in the Czech Republic for GB on the Saturday, it was rained off so he thought it was cancelled. They moved it to today at 9:30am, so he had to go after all and if he didn’t would get an international ban from the FIM. It certainly wasn’t picking and choosing, FIM meeting take priority over everything.4 points

Personally I think this is a bit of a stupid statement, If the promotion can only break even by lumping £5 on the admission prices then maybe they should cut there cloth accordingly too and maybe only run NDL if they can't afford it. In times when some people have to decide between heating there home or eating meals and your going on like £5 is nothing that £5 could be vitally important to some people and if the choice was to keep a roof over my head or lose speedway then I think I know what 99% of people would choose.3 points

Aces clear underdogs again like at Ipswich... Dan will be goosed given what he has done/still doing today and will be lucky to get five.. Lidsey hasn't ridden the track for donkeys, and Charlie and Tom are on each others backs... Brady may get 10 off six... An easy Panthers win in front of a 3000 plus crowd... Getting good at this Shovlar meeting review stuff...3 points

They should wait for new averages then replace Nathan Stoneman, I don’t think he is good enough for the second tier or ever will be.3 points

That's not true. Wright was riding all sorts of lines in heat 10 with Brennan behind him and was doing it deliberately. It almost caused Brennan to lose 3rd to Hume as he had to go wide at one point to avoid Wright on bends 1/2. It was pretty poor and unnecessary behaviour as there was nothing that Brennan did wrong in heat 3. Wright wouldn't have reacted that way towards a seasoned or harder character either as he would have received something back.2 points

Maybe it’s because your all making a mountain out of a mole hill. there’s nothing to see here, wright was a little unhappy with Tom and now it’s over. And they moved on. team mates argue all the time2 points

Depends how you regard speedway meetings that run beyond midnight!2 points

No change there then. How anyone can watch that every week baffles me, it really does. I (rather stupidly) went up to Berwick for the Poole match last year, expecting it to be a good meeting. I think, from memory, there was one genuine pass all night. The track "improvements" were supposed to improve the racing. They clearly haven't.2 points

No... Some of the Aussie ones are ran very early in the morning.. I know because I have got up and watched them..2 points

The racing was awful. The tapes situation was embarrassing too. Went up uneven all night virtually, and the crowd will be well down come May, after we get beat against Edinburgh and Redcar. No concession’s going to spend £20 to watch a crap team on a crap track.2 points

He’s rode enough meetings now to be better than 2 points at home in the championship! He’s just an average rider at best and dunno why teams keep signing him2 points

That was awful. Three home race winners tells you all you need to know. Embarrassing2 points

I actually think this could be a very competitive meeting. Plymouth's top 3 all go well at Poole and if Gilkes and Starke dig in, it could be quite close. 49-41.1 point

I think both brothers have shown some real promise. Zach is the lesser light (thus far) but it is very early days. If he was in my team I'd be very happy and patient just now.1 point

You've got to work out how many concessions will pay the £7 increase or those that can't,get they need to cover costs but over 50% increase is steep and asfor staying at home there were loads that did just that, and if you expect fillet steak and only get brisket you're no going to be happy.1 point
-
Just a thought but generally the spectator numbers needs to cover the wages for the continuation of the sport at your stadium . If you want to deny the promotion the break even figure to save yourself a fiver to keep you happy it will possibly lead to this being the last season . If you cannot afford it stay home . It will cost you more than a fiver to drive to Edinburgh Glasgow or redcar to get your speedway fix if your club cannot survive . . Try telling the supermarket you want fillet steak but only want to pay for brisket .1 point

Harris is an exception at Shielfield and Greg is daredevil enough to pass NDL juniors.Name any other Bandits in recent years that can regularly pass better riders.Riders like Wright, Riss,Cook and otherNo1’s rarely get passed due to speed IMO.I’m not knocking the racing I actually though it was ok last night.Mr Barrie wets himself any night we get a couple of passes in 1 race.1 point

Well done to Tigers just too good ,track was smooth and consistent ,times were fast that means not much overtaking and the home Team were the ones that couldn’t gate (as usual against good Teams).Don’t see any excuses for Berwick performances( apart fromTigers are good).Reckon there was moreTigers fans than Bandits. There pricing structure might be causing that.Basso was different class, and Complin and Nowak were good backups .1 point

Ben Imperious tonight we’ll worth the trip down boys a real talent good all round display from the whole team. How long will Jorgensen last he was woeful for a number 1.1 point

They do. I'm not sure how many teams there are but Morizes, Marmande, La Reole and Miramont de Guyenne completed in round three of the French League a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure what sort of crowds they get but riders like David Bellego, Adam Ellis, Dmitri Berge, Steven Goret, Dan Gilkes, Theo and Ace Pijper and the Tresarrieu brothers took part. There would be a cost of travelling to be considered but the riders are flying all over the place anyway and I'm sure something could be worked out. Just a thought, and as I say, might not be feasible at all.1 point

I'm not saying Wolves definitely will make the playoffs, but nothing has happened to be sure they won't imo1 point

I was told it was a reduction of £1 /per heat run.Not sure if that means.( 6 heats were run). There was an announcement regarding £4 reduction but not to sure what that mean. No it doesn’t some kind of reduction will apply unless the Promotion decide different.1 point

Archie was released from the Manchester hospital yesterday and arrived home late on last night.1 point

No nonsense from me. I have seen Berwick get beat by more points than they did on Friday so no problem for me. There is no attack on anyone (you are the one having an attack on the Berwick riders for falling off if anything). With regard to attending Archie, Ask Hayley next time you see her why she announced twice for Archie to be attended to, when as you say the medical team was already there (attended Connor quickly but not Archie). It was during the delay (when Archie was being attended to in the pits) that a rider was out on the track. He was not on his bike so I am not confused as I seen it happen right in front of me so you must be the one who is confused. We will agree on a speedy recovery for Archie.1 point

Like all speedway fans I’ve experienced quite a few “rain-offs”. I’ve been to about 15 continental SGP’s and managed to cop all the postponed/abandoned ones; Gothenburg, Gelsenkirchen, Riga and Warsaw. Also Berlin which was a complete farce! I also experienced the first ever England international football match to be postponed at Wembley! England v Bulgaria (21st November 1979). From Rugby on a coach with my local football club. We got all the way to the Wembley car park only to be told that it was off due to fog! We then spent hours trying to get back out of the car park. Never got off the coach! I’ve read since that Kevin Keegan missed the replay the following day because he had to be back in Hamburg …. and no we didn’t go back down for the replay.1 point
