To be honest the Seasons fixtures are that disjointed the a lot of fans are losing interest with weeks between fixturesIMO.It was a mistake not to have 2 home and 2 away in the league.IMO.Not everybody wants a double header or a Bullets fixture.6 points

Is he though? How can we be sure that Bartosz is the best around if he cannot prove it against the still undefeated 2021 World Champion? At the moment his wins are "asterix" wins. He is a Joe Frazier rather than a Muhammad Ali. He may well be a class above any other rider now, but he needs to prove it because last time he was pitted against Artem Laguta he lost. The Russians need to be there.5 points

Let's be honest, the promotion aren't going to do a Press Release at the start of the season and say "Sorry folks, but you've got a poor team team watch this season. We've got it wrong this year", are they?4 points

I personally think they should go back to the old system of every point counts towards your total4 points

Yea it's shocking that the best rider wins every year.. Not sure what this closed shop is.. You have a route to make it to the GPS if your good enough..The old system. One off world finals was a complete Joke and rely on luck most of the time..3 points

The Berwick track isn't the worst imo. Their meeting on bsn was far better than meetings at Poole and Edinburgh and not just because we won!! The team was always poor, I hope have signings lined up as and when new averages. Can't help think be better for both parties for Leon to have a couple seasons away if he's ever going to become a top CL rider3 points

Jesus Christ! Lighten up, and stop taking everything so bloody seriously! The two of us had been joking about things this afternoon, and that's why I added the sentence about the miserable buggers who were complaining about the racing - and everything else. Anyway, if Doyle hadn't hit that rut, I don't think Zmarzlik would have caught him...3 points

Nicki P refused to continue a meeting for Grudziadz today because of the track. Maybe he should just retire if he doesn't have the bottle for it anymore.2 points

Maybe the polyfoam sections should be manufactured with 45 degree ends so each section slots together. Then if the fence was fitted so that the joint went left to right no rider could go through the joint as it would be going in the opposite direction.2 points

They want them to stay and be available to guest.... Just in case Poland decide to run some meetings tomorrow....2 points

But up from when? As they certainly ain't up from 10 years ago or 20 or 30. Prob up from the covid years when people stayed home2 points

Most fans who follow the sport closely can pretty much nail most play off and wooden spoon contenders well before a race is run.. And they also then pretty accurately predict what impact any changes made will have.. They know that, in the main, the riders average, and past performances at their own track, will be the key determinate on how the season unfolds.. You dont get too many surprises in Speedway, especially when you are dealing with riders of five years or more experience, who will pretty much be, in the most cases, at or around the level they will always be at.. If a team looks a wooden spoon contender in the eyes of a clubs most loyal followers, it will be based on some quite considerable knowledge, and very often, proved correct... Promoters on the other hand, have to talk up their teams, as predicting a poor season isnt generally a great idea... Deep down though, if they have even the slightest idea of the sport, they will know what they have... And if it looks like a bottom of the table team, then, most seasons, it usually will be..2 points

Nobody knows... and if even R&R can't get it right, the ultimate test, the scoring system is not fit for purpose2 points

Zmarzlik is a class above this field even in tricky conditions. Good to see the Brits go relatively well although Woffinden + Bewley will be disappointed not to of made the final. Great to see Lambert make the podium.2 points

Deja vu. Bartosz' only competition are riders who were banned due to politics.2 points

I really don’t understand the whinging about the racing, hardly like they can do anything about the weather. Believe it or not you can also turn it over and watch something else…crazy I know2 points
-
Assuming the weather doesn’t scupper this I can’t see the Monarchs winning the meeting nevermind the tie. Masters will go through the card and Nicholls quite possibly too. Sedgmen a really strong guest to back them up also. Anyway here’s hoping for a few good races given the Armadale specialists on show.1 point

Don't know, website seems broken since the upgrade. Headline says preliminary line ups but is as you can see empty.1 point

I was taught a very salient point approx 25 years ago when I got to run my own store, and excitedly told my boss after 12 months that since I had been there, sales had risen by 8%... "Aye lad, but an 8% increase in f*#k all, is still f*#k all"...... A wise man indeed.. With Emil and Dan riding, (and Nicki for 5 seconds), you would think crowds would have to be up, or heaven help us... One due to the huge novelty value, and two down to the low like for like starting points for crowds at so many tracks.. I can guarantee that as the novelty value wears off, and riders start to continually miss meetings due to FIM and Polish meetings on Mondays and Thursdays, then crowds will start to drop off.. Just like crowds historically have done down the years, as "the stars" became so frequently "elsewhere" on nights that UK Speedway were happy to still run meetings on without them... Instead, replacing them with inferior riders from their competitors, which ultimately led to a mass exodus of punters... Noticable how the FIM and Poland have now taken over Mondays and Thursday's. The nights that were, (and Monday still is), priority race nights for the UK, however now, for both nights, they get considered secondary...1 point

So Glasgow is tight into the bends but Berwick isn't? Hmmmmm.1 point

Basically in this country, before Poland starts, you get a couple of weeks where two teams have 14 riders on show belonging to them... When Poland starts, then forget it.. It cannot be too far from round 80% of meetings running with guests from April onwards... You simply cannot sell a sport like that to major sponsors, nor expect punters to follow it and take it seriously...1 point

It was... Rain has impacted the track for the race off... "Old videos" show how much riding styles have changed over the decades, with riding styles up to around the 90's being less sideways than today as the riders hit the bends, with them only locking up well into the turn to straighten up to go down the next straight... This meant more room to pass as the riders just behind hit the turns.. Workington have deliberately made bend entrance and exit width wide meaning several bikes can enter in the modern sideways way.. Somerset, Scunthorpe, and Belle Vue all had/have that shape of track and bend width that suits the modern bikes and riding style.. Swindon changed theirs, and Ipswich the same, to try and open up lines into the bends.. Which, due to the horsepower of the bikes down the straights, is often the main opportuniity place to pass..1 point

You can only beat what's in front of you I'm afraid. Your right we need the Russians back. Laguta could have been a double world champion for all we know. But he's not which is a real shame .1 point

It shows there is something wrong with the scoring system if the commentators don't know who ranks higher, it's unforgivable that the organisers can't work it out!1 point
-
So did I , much better showing the GP without countless ad breaks and Nicholls is quite good at his job. The GP was a complete and utter gate and go show and although the rain didn’t help I don’t think it affected it as much as most thought it would. The four of us watching though Woffinden and Bewley would pick the two best gates (Red and Yellow) in the second SF but no they decided to let Zmarzlik select Red and paid the ultimate price as he outgated both of them, up till then they both looked quite quick, but they both blew it big style in the semi.1 point

Gate & go for bandits meetings as it's been for years now & hopefully there's better value at bullets home meetings this season1 point
-
I don't think it's the same. Firstly, Emil opting out was his own choice. Secondly, he wasn't the undefeated champion.1 point

How many more times does it need Edit i do have to admit that i made an error with Fricke above Holder- it is the other way round but they were wrong and have now corrected Michelsen/Bewley and Madsen/Janowski !!1 point
-
If they knew in advance, I'm surprised they didn't try & race this match on another date as there's plenty spares. If it was late notice then I can understand not changing the fixture. However even with Knudsen Berwick were never going to claw back 16 points, so no harm in him missing this one.1 point

Wish the Berwick riders would drop the Clutch quicker than the opposition.1 point

No, we know it's not the greatest racing track, but the fact that they were able to put the meeting on at all was fantastic. As I said elsewhere, speedway is often ruined by the weather. That's not going to change anytime soon, so we have to accept it. Constant whining about it is not the solution, but it seems to be what a lot of people want.1 point

Stick a camera on Phil Morris so can see and hear what heard, until they get riders together for a meeting.1 point

We had one of those in Heat 13 last night as well just pure entertainment. Good to see your recovering and accepted that you’re not very good. One or two team changes and it could all change for the better though.1 point

Thanks gaz. I’m okay now I’ve managed to get the help needed and came to terms with the fact we’re no very good. Positives from last night track was much better not quite there yet but much better. Kyle starting to find his feet which is good to see. The race between nicholls and worrall in heat 13 was unbelievable stuff a must see if it’s posted online. Scott is arguably the best visiting rider to visit the dale imo even though he’s not really seen the place that much. Negatives that middle pairing are enough to take years off your life.1 point

At Armadale he is superb unless it's an important race. I've never seen a rider so good at times and so poor at others.1 point
