The world has gone mad. Fans are not cheering at the fallen rider, they are cheering for the gain for their team as a result of the incident, like when a top opposition rider goes through the tapes. It’s happened at all tracks and has been happening for the 52 years I have been going to speedway. It does not mean anyone wants to see a rider hurt though.9 points

And this is the problem.....teams with whom Glasgow directly compete having a say on who they can and can't sign.8 points

Honestly the best thing I ever did on this forum was puting that daft cow on ignore. I’d encourage more people to do the same.6 points

I think that’s unfair, Panthers supporters do give a toss, BUT the situation is complicated. The developers have yet to officially reveal their plans. There are things happening in the background, these will come to the fore when there is sight of the development plans. Suffice to say, there will be no Speedway at Peterborough in 2024, not because interested current or prospective promoters don’t want to, but because the developers will not renew the lease for any current or prospective promoters.4 points

Riders giving up after three laps and not completing a race is a real bug bear of mine, and what Boxall did was last Saturday was wrong, disrespectful and unprofessional.4 points

Think you're being unduly harsh on Lambert. He's been one of Lynn's bright spots this year & Belle Vue must be the hardest track for an away reserve to score points at.4 points

For the love of god think about, what kind of lunatic headbutts a helmet. Still image can look like anything out of context3 points

Was watching the stream and this didn't happen. Cami Brown was trying to keep the two apart. Even he wouldn't be stupid enough to headbutt someone wearing a crash helmet!3 points

How must win,, finishing top doesn’t win the league last time I checked. I am going to start a Poole free thread so we don’t continue to be exposed to bull on a daily basis.3 points

Times are tough for Plymouth but this isn't the fault of their management, so I hope that the genuine supporters will stick with them. If you lose your club, then you won't get it back - I know this from experience!!!3 points

There would be no point in doing that. Just use r/r for Jenkins with Killeen used as number 8 (Lewis Kerr gets an extra ride).3 points

I do not agree if this is true but this could be the start of little snippets leaked about how the 2024 season will be set up. Also, as this seasons rolling average has gone back up from 10 to 20, & in the Championship, there is only a maximum of 16 league meetings this year, ALL meetings should count.2 points

Agree - I am from the south and my first name is Ross for some reason oop ere in Yorkshire some people call me Russ - some have been corrected several times - eventually I gave up! it is just good manners to get someone’s name right!2 points

The poster was saying that the conversion rate of 1.5 should be applied but that is not the case with assessed riders.2 points

I've signed the petition. I've also messaged the Council's Planning Department to ask them whether AEPGs proposed development meets the requirements of the Local Plan ( specifically LP30 and LP36). The Council say they will notify me when AEPG submits a valid Planning application. Is anyone from Peterborough speedway coordinating resistance to the developer's plans? It would be a great shame if speedway was just allowed to die because the current owner has just accepted it. Edit: just seen info on a different thread from Mick Bratley that things are happening in the background. I wish the best of luck to whoever is leading this.2 points

Bartoz Smarslek is on £1200/1500 a point you find the team that can afford £22,500 a night for one rider !!! plus I'm sure he's not going to have a sign on fee of a bottle of Irn Bru and Scotch pie. Rules aren't written for eventualities that haven't been forseen. But we're talking about a number 2 riding in the 2nd Division in Poland who's going well round Peterborough. So again if the alleged teams representatives are dragging their heels because they're concerned that one rider could stop their team finishing top. He cannot drop into reserve and get 7 rides, he is replacing another pole who had scored in every one of his last 21 heats!!2 points

Are facility’s for riders not allowed now ? when you only have 7 days to find a rider before the cut off date it’s going to be pretty hard to sort out his meetings2 points

They Key word is Assessed, "To judge or decide the amount, value l, quality or importance of something" But the judging criteria is based on "wether they have ridden in Poland, Sweden or Denmark" if they have they get a 5 Or Having never ridden in Poland, Sweden or Denmark..... It's a 4. Nothing to do with wether they rode as a heat leader or reserve, nothing to do with what actual league did they ride in Poland, nothing to do with their averages they have obtained in their foreign league, nothing to do with how did they perform in their countries individual competition. Probably devised by the same people that decided out of a potential 30+ meetings in the championship this year only 50% of those will count towards a "calculated match average"2 points

I've signed this petition and would urge every speedway enthusiast to do the same. People's views on the current state of speedway in this country are not the issue - every possible effort should be made to save one of the sport's finest race tracks, so come on folks, sign - don't just leave it to others!2 points

It's pretty obvious why crowds are falling at Cardiff. The way speedway is now, Cardiff is becoming too big for it. The event would be as big and special as it always was if the sport here could sustain support. How many tracks are there now in the UK? On a quick count I make it 19. Even if each track sent 1000 supporters it doesn't fill half the stadium.2 points

why would lambert/woffinden care about the attendance at Cardiff?2 points
-
I think this scenario would work 1 Jack Holder comes back into team ahead of expiry of Tai Woffinden’s 28 day contract 2 Same time as brining Jack Holder back in ahead of transfer deadline re-declare team removing Adam Ellis (6.00) and either Josh Pickering (6.24) or Lewi Kerr (5.73) that gives 12.24 or 11.73 and replace with Tai Woffinden (7.03) and Connor Mountain (4.51) for 11.542 points

I think this and the D.Mail article are all part of the evidence, if needed, to support the Pirates future with the Council when the stadium availability comes into real focus!!2 points

Really? A rider who beat Jason Doyle twice two weeks ago (once from the back) and scored 13+1 tonight. You'd rather use Vissing, Complin & Pijper to cover these rides?2 points
-
There was a very decent crowd tonight, probably the biggest since the season opener. Considering it was on TV and we are bottom of the league, it was an excellent turn out.2 points

I think your presenting style is great and something we're very unlikely to see elsewhere. Keep up with the crap jokes, puts a smile on my face2 points

Hi Mike , thanks for tuning in! Sorry I'm not your cup of tea. I do know i can be a marmite kind of person and i can be excitable, mainly due to the passion i have for speedway and trying my bit to make speedy more theatrical to make a show and not forgetting i often tell crap jokes. But like every comedian some people hate it but more love it as i regularly get messages asking when I'm on. Despite weather you like me or not. I do have a great repour with a lot of the riders which usually equals some great interviews from the riders getting all the insights as a few have said they find it easy to talk to me. I hope you can warm to me in the future, you'll be glad to know I'm not on for a few weeks. Thanks again for supporting BSN Paul2 points
