No matter your opinion on it I think Workington will be the away side most fans will be looking forward to see. Some in hope to see Celina fail and say I told you so, others in hope she succeeds. Throw in Tate, the Finn and cookie it's the team I won't be missing when visit ashfield this season. Fair play to the promotion, will have more than the speedway world talking about this signing can only be good for the sport10 points

Workington need some riders with established GB league pedigree to finish the team off now. Interesting team building so far but 3 newcomers to GB and the enigma that Cook now is could cause them a few problems. Good to see Worky back in the championship though.3 points

he may have introduced him but in no way did he bring him in he is not aloud that privilege he is a puppet doing what he is told fact2 points

Taking into account the limited intelligence of most people on the Speedway Forum your comment and the lack of understanding of my post doesn't suprise me.2 points

I think it’s a very good team within the points limit, I think strength in depth is the way to go this year, unlike some teams who have 3 or 4 strong riders if one of them have a bad night there in trouble.2 points

As long as any rider gives there best comets fans will support them,he or she it dont matter , and how many away tracks will benifit as people will go along to watch her.i hope she does well not as a " comet" but as just anyother rider, then some of u will have alot of pie to eat.2 points

Spot on. I have nothing personal against her and genuinely wish her well. But as with her wild card in a round of GP2 this is just a case of box ticking from the Workington promotion and a publicity stunt (a very good one at that). I would like to see more female riders at the higher level but they have to be good enough. Everyone loves a novelty but soon the novelty wares off. The Comets fans will soon get tired of her if she doesn't do the job after a few meetings. I do hope though that she proves me wrong.2 points

My thoughts are Redcar, Oxford, Scunny, Poole and then Glasgow as a top five in that order with the other four as also rans in terms of the Play Offs.1 point

How much does a team manager really have to know. There's not a lot of tactics needed, riders can give each other advice about equipment / track lines etc. Besides Cami Brown has shown you can make poor decisions & still win the league (as long as you can sign a 9 point rider on a 5 point average).1 point

Does it really matter what heats the lassy ride's in give he a chance. Most of you lot on here couldn't even put your leg over a bike never mind ride it !1 point

Well, if she's at home riding at 6 then her heats after heat 2 will be heat 7, heat 11 and heat 14 If she's riding at 6 away from home then her other rides after heat two will be heat 6, heat 9 and heat 12. Anything else I can help you with?1 point

The words poor and weak aren't words you'd use about a mid table team if that's what we are predicting. That would be for teams you think will finish 8th and 9th.1 point

Personally, I disagree and think that’s it’s just been manipulated to suit. The final issue of averages shows 3.00 regardless if that is 2.995 or 3.004 before it’s rounded. The GB reduction is applied for team building purposes at the start of a new season, therefore the final issued average is what should be used before reduction. Edit: in addition, Ablitts average is exactly 3.00 when calculated so should never be rounded to 2.921 point

Think your going a bit over board with the 4 potential number ones in the side, Allen and mpt have been 6/7.5 riders most of their career and I can’t really see that changing this coming season. Equally granted lambert probably had his best season to date but even in a weakened league not a chance at all hell he a number one.1 point

Just like they did last season and cost themselves a shot at the play offs in the process?1 point

I’m personally happy with that team it will take a very good team to beat that top 5 round the EWR you’ve got to think Ablitt and Harrison will progress and improve their average as well1 point

Good team ,hard to replace Dougy with the season he had, but 24 scorpions looking solid throughout ,they will be up there again no doubt1 point
-
Granted, not the strongest line up..... It's gonna need some riders to up their game, that's for sure. With no Dougie, it just looks like a Scorpions team of yesteryear... But that's what we got, we'll support them whatever... Up the Scorps.1 point

Exactly and that is the argument I always put forward in cases like this. A very good example is Horse Racing and Racheal Blackmore. She is one of the best jockeys out there. The media have tried to big her up as a trailblazer for women but she will have nothing to do with it. As far as she is concerned she is on equal terms with the blokes and no fanfare should be given to her just because she's a woman. However my argument has also been it should be the best person for the job regardless of whatever gender, etc they are.1 point

Just saying you can’t accuse someone of spreading fake news if it’s been published on the clubs website can you?. If people want to take a risk and park there it’s their choice, but bear in mind the shopping centre closes at 8pm on Mondays so anyone parked there will be taking a big gamble.1 point

http://www.birmingham-speedway.com/news.php?extend.3257 I guess Brummies website is to blame for the ‘fake news’. You only believe what you read, especially when it’s on the teams own website. Feel free to put the record straight if it’s wrong rather than resort to mud slinging.1 point

Hearing whispers of Jake Turner heading to a northern track, must be either Edinburgh or Berwick. Hope the rumours are true he’s a talent for the future could be a real dark horse at Edinburgh.0 points
