Shaping up to be like the old days when a Stoney led Comets brought a big support up to our place . The more the merrier , going to be a great night6 points

It’s probably changed to Wrocław now!4 points

The Starke signing was strange ,guess it was down to team average being lowered once again. We were spoiled last season with the racers and quality we had , I get the feeling this season is going to be a slog.3 points

I think it's doubly as galling seeing Tom's form this season in comparison. Whose to say that would be same if he'd stayed but just seems a few poor decisions this year. Tate's obviously another, taking gambles on guys like starke instead id rather take a chance on a young unknown.3 points

Gutted to not come away with the points, but, might make a few people eat there words. Unlucky in heat 1 with cookie being thrown out and Tate’s bike packing in. Think we’ll be okay this season and not the wooden spooners like so many predicted. UTC!!3 points

Very pleased with the home win on my first 400 mile round trip of the season, but equally so to see Craig Cook shaking off his demons so effectively Great to see hugs from Steady and others positively encouraging him in the pits after the meeting. I only hope the planting of a sloppy smacker on his cheek, by Peter Shroek, doesn't ruin the good work. Craig appreciated the compliment though.3 points

Wasn't a fan at all when the team was announced. Worrall, Flint and Starke would have been some of the last riders I would have signed. Worrall before this meeting you could at least say was reliable just not as exciting as Basso, Flint has the potential to do something (though I think he is flattered a bit by riding with Starke) and Starke was I presume based on averages because he's been going downhill every season. Just seems like some strange choices for a team you'd expect to be competing for gold every year. I hope they can turn this around but changes may be on the horizon for us.2 points

He has also scored 3 points across 3 heat 13s and 1 heat 15 while not featuring in 2 heat 15s at Ashfield. Which translates nicely to utterly hopeless. Worrall is one of the good guys in speedway and comes across as very professional. However, any Tigers fan with a modicum of knowledge knew exactly what we are getting with him. He is a gater and always will be and that does not bode well these days on our track.2 points

Tate looked fabulous tonight - a natural racer. Great to see James keeping him behind, and Leon did well in heat 15 too. Bomber and Pearson is a great combination and Leon is definitely showing some improvement - hopefully a good amount more to come from him yet.2 points
-
Referee,s can win matches now, craig pulls back a little gets excluded, the other week harris can jump out of a van no helmet or licence checks and no action taken !2 points
-
You feel like Worky missed an opportunity tonight, but well done Glasgow for pulling through despite Worrall's score. Bomber like a fine wine!2 points
-
Cook did move away from the tapes slightly after the clock had run down. It was a harsh exclusion though.2 points
-
Hard fought win against a solid Workington Leon improving week on week and young James chipped in with important points as did Smith. 3 points from your second heat leader is not acceptable at home and nearly cost us ,the less said about Starke and the tractor he was on the better.2 points

Excuse me !! Last week Torun were certainties for the drop in your eyes.2 points

Poor decision. I don't know if JT has asked to be stood down but surely the club could have maybe done more to help him turn his form around? Binning him off is very much the easy option and for what? Replacing him for a rider of similar calibre who won't get around BP as well as JT does. I thought the idea of the rising star system was that they were protected, this change makes no sense, drop a club asset, the captain of the cubs and bring in an outsider, doesn't send out a great message and it's not made Lions into title contenders all of a sudden.2 points

Thanks for your kind words and it has been noted for further interaction later tonight.2 points

Always one eh. Well for your sarcasm I hope you get royally pumped tonight instead of just pumped.2 points

The race in Question? Looking at that still picture Mountains front wheel is over the white line, Knudsen's isnt. Poor Refereeing,2 points

Same Emil, but think you'll find it's a mysterious engine problem that they just can't work out what the problem is and to over compensate he's working overtime to catch up and hitting the deck. Keep the faith.2 points
-
It's not blinkered, he's just stating its nothing to do with Poole speedway2 points
-
Will Dan hold that team position down though? The way Rew was riding last night he'll be back in the main body next month. You can add Gilkes to the list of RS riders who shouldn't be anywhere near the PL... Mountain and Brennan are the 2 stand out names that seem to be holding a team spot down. Brennan looks like he may be on the verge of having a breakthrough season.2 points

It has to be said, Emil SO FAR has looked a shadow of the rider we all saw comfortably top the averages last year. His first visit to Leicester last year, he broke the track record in his very first race, and went unbeaten. Didn’t win a single race last night. Smashed the Foxhall track record too and was nigh on unbeatable everywhere. This season, it’s like an impersonator has taken his place! Off the pace, and error strewn! He’s had several falls already, can’t recall him hitting the deck once last year! It’s bizarre. Plenty of time for him to turn it around again of course. Despite his poor start, we still sit top of the table. Makes you wonder how good we’d be/will be if he regains the form of last year.2 points

Out of all the rising stars only Dan T is thriving. Even the ex rising stars like kemp and mountain are no where near ready for the main body of the team. If a club wants a young brit in there side it should be by choice of the club. Lets be honest if the rising star system wasn't in place , Joe T and Ashton wouldn't be in any prem team.2 points
-
I think the RS system is the best rule they've introduced in years, just because one or two riders are struggling doesn't mean it doesn't work. You can't expect everyone to excel, but as long as one or two progress every year, it's working imo. Personally I think it should be used in both leagues, every Champ team actually has an RS in their team, but unlike the Prem, they aren't guaranteed to meet each other twice a meeting.2 points
-
Looking forward to travelling up on supporters bus, this meeting is on a knife edge either team could win, and imo either could implode !! Hope its a good watch for both sets of fans UTC2 points

I don't think Sam Hagon is the answer. You've got to stick with JT and rally around the kid, maybe get somebody in to help him. For me I'd be looking to drop Kemp and A.N.Other and be looking at getting a CL 7 pointer in at reserve somebody like Jake Allen, Vuolas, Lambert (Simon or Robert) or Zischke or take a punt on a complete unknown like Worky have this season and Peterborough did with Woj last season... with Schlein or Sedgeman in the main body, anything else would probably require major surgery. Last year showed that you now need big hitters in your team at 1 and 5 to succeed as long as you get to the play offs, Belle Vue finished top but just didn't have the firepower to see off Emil and Doyley2 points
-
You're right, bigger picture stuff, the RS system should not be being used in the PL but the CL, the jump from NL to PL is just too big and more so this season with the return of some of the "Stars". Personally I don't think Fricke has had a particularly strong start to the season but he was always too good a rider not to come good. With the make up of our team I always thought we'd come unstuck when riding against teams with a couple of "big hitters" as has been the case against Sheffield and Ippo as Max is just not at the level of Holder/Woffy/Doyley/Emil... and with the lack of any bite at reserve the matches against the other clubs are too close to call without a performance from Kemp2 points

Pleased to see Cookie riding well - I recall his time at Foxhall was it 2021? I saw him ride in 2 meetings and he scored 5-14 and 5-15 so he was pretty much on it then! A confidence crisis has done for many a top sports man / woman / etc over the years so lets hope thats all behind him now.2 points
-
While Joe is struggling in the top division, I'm not sure there's anyone better out there, certainly not with Leicester track experience. Lions probably better off just giving him time.2 points
-
Good performance from the Tigers against a very solid Oxford side who will definitely be in the playoffs at the end of the season. Brilliant performance from Cookie and good to see he’s conquering his demons. Another entertaining meeting at owlerton especially when Josh Pickering was on track. That lad is worth the admission money alone. Looking forward to the meeting with the Aces next week2 points

Yeah was first match I looked for when fixtures came out. Great to see Craig proving a few people wrong2 points

Not according to our promotion, who did stream in 2021. They say the streaming revenue was offset by smaller crowds.2 points

Yeah battles between bomber and the worky top 3 should be epic. Be good to see the worky hoards again, barring few always got on with them when they visited in the past. Seems some on here fail to realise Glasgow fans nothing but respect for cookie and will be first to congratulate him if goes through the care tomorrow night2 points

I must admit I didn't fancy Workington at the start of the season but they were very impressive tonight1 point

Congrats to Poole on going through. Special mention to the fans on the third bend who made the trip up. Couldn’t really understand why your riders (minus Brennan) didn’t take the victory lap for you after heat wins. Story of the Thomson’s tonight - that was the difference, really. Not the best night’s racing but, as always, Josh made up for that in heats 13 + 15. Encouraging result. Beating the best team in the league on the night and missing out by just 5 on aggregate. Playoffs hopefully a realistic aim.1 point

Can't help but feel cheated after heat 1. What was the ref playing at1 point

Heat 3 he didn’t do a lot wrong Pickering rode a great line to pass him on last bend. He was on the pace but you let Woffy, Chris or Jack in front round Sheffield it’s very rare someone passes them1 point

Think Holder is Zmarzlik’s main challenge this season, skilful, consistently fast and not scared to get “ stuck in”.Lambert fast in in front but goes missing when the going gets tough. Doyle and Lindgren big spoilers every GP. Never give attitudes serves them well.Hard as nails both of them.1 point

He beat Jason Doyle the other day at Foxhall - was ecstatic after the race, think moments like that are doing him some good1 point

While people may not be saying this exactly, at times it looks like they are waiting for Cook to miss matches due to mental health so they can say "I told you so". Do people really get pleasure in suggesting something will go wrong for Craig? Because that appears to be the case at times.1 point
