Assuming you’re a Belle Vue fan? is there really any difference to Brady Kurtz riding in the SPG Challenge in Zarnovica on 25.05.2024 and then refusing to rider for BV against Sheffield on the following Bank Holiday Monday 27.05.24 If you’re going to come after Chapman at least make sure your own club doesn’t do the same thing3 points

Dead easy to get to worky leave Poole at 6 be in worky for 1 watch the speedway book into travelodge often cheap deals, morning in lakes on Sunday, then return to poole, easy for you lot but the comets fans will need 2 days leave to get a mid week meeting But I bet they will be more comets fans at Wim board road that Poole fans at the GT tyres northside arena UTC3 points

What would have been wrong with that? Why would the rider reject the chance of increasing his income by accepting a guest booking and the chance to emphasise that a mistake had been made? No one at Birmingham is happy at a situation which was forced on them by the regulations. One rider had to lose his team place, and someone at the club had no choice but to make what must have been a very difficult decision. I am sorry that Zach turned out to be the choice, but the rules don't allow clubs to have more than seven riders, so who would be the bright spark who could suggest an alternative?3 points

An easy win and a nightmare night for Emil Big thanks for Harris and Masters did brilliantly … Ellis looked good if a bit rusty Rew on fire and good to see Jordan mixing it as well hopefully he has turned a corner and 4 points a meeting from him is what’s needed Let’s hope we get the Doyle position filled soon as I don’t think we can win the league with a guest each week2 points

Fair play to KL really got out the gates and looked comfortable on the track, Sheffield the complete opposite didn’t gate well all night and seemed abit all over the place. 10 points is a very competitive gap, don’t think it will the mullering like last time at owlerton. Could be a tense second leg2 points

That Simon lambert interview was painful. Who give the lass a job she’s didn’t have a clue.2 points

Incorrect, he qualified as of right because Lambert and Vaculik finished in top 6 of SGP2 points

Can’t be any worse than the previous times we’ve had the misfortune of listening to one of his announcements. Don’t bother protesting against AEPG a personal favourite of mine.2 points

Wonder what exciting announcement Buster has up his sleeve? He’s sold the club? He’s got a new pit gate? The sun is out for the next 7 days so there is a chance the match might go ahead next week? Simon Lambert has been signed to replace Palm Toft? He’s the messiah after rescuing Peterborough speedway? I’m glad he didn’t announce this last night as I don’t know how I would of slept last night through the excitement.2 points

Has anybody asked (or answered) the question why the SCB issued a statement and ban for Nico Covatti for riding on the continent and not for his club but there was silence for Brady Kurtz for doing exactly the same thing?2 points

Football fans do those kind of journeys every Saturday. Where there's a will there is a way.2 points

Yes that is true, no idea why the track was like it was last night, havent seen a blue groove for years. It certainly didn't help us and our riders seemed to be caught out. Edwards seems to have improved lately and made a couple of decent passes early on and the only interesting thing was the fluctuating scoreline which was worrying for most of the meeting.2 points
-
How can they not? Plenty cheap places to stay the Friday night or you just get up nice and early.2 points

Another great meeting last night - racing wise, if not score wise. Scunthorpe didn't put up much of a fight, and expected more from the likes of Connor Mountain after his performance for Belle Vue when they visited. Simon Lambert was woeful. For Oxford Cameron Heeps looks rejuvenated this year, just need him to pick up his away form - and Ashton Boughen seems to have found his feet the last few weeks. His pass in heat 14 was sensational.2 points

Guess who Birmingham asked to guest for them tomorrow at Ipswich? Yep. Zach Cook. And guess what he said. F**K off!2 points

Kids of today have no concept of what we had to do with old cars, do they? These days, one poxy sensor can disable the car; in our day, half the bloody car could be missing, but we were still able to drive it!2 points

Agree with you from what I seen over the years with Lawson turns up does a job no bull. Certainly wouldn’t be fazed by the glitz and glam of Cardiff.1 point

You must be privy to more information than me then... all I've seen in the news is that he missed the away match at Oxford on the 23rd of May with "an ankle injury" (don't know where he picked that up from?), rode in the GP qualifier on the 25th at Zarnovica where he qualified, finishing all of his races then was absent for Belle Vue again. If he had a medical certificate for the Oxford match surely this would have expired with his appearance in the GP qualifier... or is it a blank certificate that he can use whenever he likes?1 point

Wasn’t he very good around Monmore though? Foxhall is a bigger track so think it may take a ride, but he’ll cope ok I think.1 point

Double of Sheffield and Ipswich pays 14/5 that should easily cover any other the gambles i place Sheffield -2, think the top 3 of Sheffield will have the Tigers pushing close to 50 points on the night Chris Holder over 8, currently in the best form for a good few years and always keen to put one over Buster, hopefully gets heat 15 and that should see him hitting double figures Ipswich +0 at Heat 8, even if Lindgren is flying Id imagine that it will take Pawlicki and Lampart a few heats to get up to speed and the Witches should easily be leading at heat 8 Bomber over 6 and Lindgren Over 10....for exactly the same reasons listed by TTT1 point

On the subject of break downs to and from meetings I rode back to Essex c 1972 from Wimbledon on a scooter with a broken throttle cable ! I wedged s stick in carburettor to keep revs up and carried on riding. It worked up to a point but coming through slowing of stationery traffic the only solution was to pull in clutch. It didn’t half startle people !! : )1 point

For his first time on the track, showed lots of fight and determination, think he will get better1 point

The racing at most places is pretty poor isn't it? BSN must be cheesed off as they depend so much on "generic" speedway fans subscribing... I get to watch Poland and Sweden and often give UK racing a miss on Eurosport given invariably it is poor entertainment.. Apart from a few tracks, eg. (in no particular order), NSS, Glasgow, Worky, Scunthorpe 0 and Redcar, there does seem to be a very low entertainment threshold at a lot of tracks... Based on a "win at all costs" mentality maybe around track prep? What promoters forget I fear is that only one team can win a league, so, for many teams, they are out of contention within a month or two,.. (Leagues where let's be honest don't carry too much kudos or financial reward).. ,Therefore, selling "the racing" for thes majority of clubs has to be key surely?1 point

Wouldn't want that jumped up little s*#t at Foxhall, he's no better then a moaning faced Aussie, one sure way to bring the team morale down.1 point

I hired a car. 50 years ago to drive from Grays to Luton Airport and the gear lever came off a mile from home. This was 5.30 a.m.. Drove all the way with one hand holding the gear lever and steering with the other.1 point

Surely if Birmingham explained they were dropping Worrall (temporarily) to avoid using guests, that should be welcomed? You could even argue there should be a rule where they can't drop a fit rider (Cook) and be allowed a guest for an unfit rider (Worrall). I thought it was wrong Oxford could drop Klindt, just so they could use Nicholls as a guest for Kerr, instead of being told "no Riss has to replace Kerr, or no guests allowed".1 point
