Track had too much water on at the beginning which created alot dirt which had to be bladed off, which was fine, it was dusty but difficult to manage in the hot weather problem with tapes which could of been sorted quicker instead of trying to repair should of went straight to green light starts hindsight a wonderful thing. Josh Pickering showed how track can be rode and actually made Plymouth riders ride different lines racing was good usual Plymouth critics jumping on the bandwagon but if no one likes us who cares,we don't. Decent crowd in aswell.5 points

All the moaning,we all have seen “crap” speedway meetings, poor track prep and electrical problems maybe uncommon but I would bet we have all suffered it at sometime.I certainly seen worse racing.Need to take a leaf out of the Josh Pickering book and just get on with it.5 points

Has Freddie fallen out with Buster too? Lol3 points

Of course it all sounds logical but that doesn't mean that you have to give up and accept it. It's a weak one sided argument from Butterfield who's obviously feeling the heat as friends and family plead for the planning process to be speeded up and the EEAS whine that they need the money. If AEPG can't navigate their way out of their local plan and NPPF responsibilities then they are going to have to find new land (on or off site) and dip their hands in their pockets to pay for it. Or as the BSPA say, it shouldn't even get that far? The Save Peterborough Speedway consortium may stand alone but it doesn't take much to hang this planning process up. AEPG know that and the last thing that they need is more delay and timetable slippage!2 points

Not all Edinburgh fans hate Kye, there is only a small minority that post on here Hats off to wee Sedgy tonight, great effort - and Picko will be back, very uncharacteristic meeting for him2 points
-
But on the flip side if wasn't a trappers paradise would sedgy have got 14? Always frustrating to see your no.1 score so poorly but never just as easy as saying if he'd scored 10 you'd have won 50-40. But if picko and Ben cook can't pass on a track you know it's bad2 points

It's quite wrong that the NDL tail is being allowed to wag the Championship dog. Things must change for next year. All Championship teams signed up for a theoretical maximum of 18 home meetings - 8 league; 4 BSN; 4 KO Cup and 2 Play offs - so 16 league meetings (2H and 2A) and two play offs would be the same commitment .2 points

The houses was sold when Dunblane and the Orion’s was build .The speedway track was there then and when the shows was on traffic used to go in that entrance. The residents had no problem then.2 points

No doubt we'll have everybody from Poole telling us it's not normally like that, like they did with the Redcar match and like they do every time their track is exposed on TV2 points
-
When you have racers like Josh Pickering and Ben Cook struggling to nail a pass tells you how poor the track is.2 points
-
The speedway club didn't need all 164 acres to continue. No reason (apart from greed) the owners couldn't have built houses, while keeping the speedway.2 points

Buster at fault, obviously. Sure someone from Nene valley will be on here shortly to give us the reasons why2 points

While Redcar seem to run a good show, there are a few fans who are complaining about track prep not providing the normal standard of racing.2 points

Line up announced just now looks like a good field. Justin Sedgmen (Edinburgh/Birmingham) Dan Bewley (Belle Vue) Craig Cook (Workington/Leicester) Kyle Howarth (Scunthorpe/Sheffield) Antti Vuolas (Workington) Norick Blodorn (Belle Vue) Charles Wright (Redcar / Oxford) Paul Starke (Glasgow) Gino Manzares (USA) Simon Lambert (Scunthorpe) Alex Martin (USA) Adam Ellis (Ipswich) Ben Barker (Plymouth) Danny King (Redcar / Ipswich) Lewis Kerr (Berwick) Jan Kvech (King’s Lynn) Excited to see how Jan Kvech goes around the northside arena. Should be a good competitive meeting.2 points

Overcast in Poole today and forecast to be the same throughout the day. Might even be a slight risk of some natural watering to assist the track prep. Edinburgh boys will be well fed and watered at Middlo's overnight so looking forward to a decent meeting.2 points

That's quite realistic, if Flint has scored 0 from 3 then Ermolenko would give him his 4th ride lol!2 points

It would be impossible to be worse than tonight. The amount of time it took to sort out the green light starts was incredible, so much dust and we should all be grateful for Pickering, he was terrific, I hope he has a good night tomorrow as well otherwise it will be another hammering for Edinburgh.2 points

It's the way he handled the whole situation that has rubbed Panthers fans up the wrong way. Would've been better to get a PR team to put out a well worded statement in a professional manner.1 point

Yes, this can cause an issue but the laser can read numerous labels at once, but if there is still an issue it gets re-labelled within a few hours and should be on its way without any issues in the same day1 point

I believe other events also took place at the show ground (Truckfest was one I think) and so it was not solely income from Speedway and if the rent was deemed fair and gave the return that the landlord wanted then I am not sure that speedway should be singled and being called selfish particularly when you also have so many objections to the plans. Seems he might paint himself into a corner if he carries on as is. The sport could have continued this year given the state of the planning application and he has under estimated the local feeling towards the proposal but clearly has an axe to grind and lashes out without thinking. It might well be his undoing (hopefully)1 point

Everything thats wrong with speedway pretty much in one night, i have had many happy nights at Plymouth in the past but tonight is not acceptable but it’s not just plymouths fault, riders messing around at the start and refuelling when there is a false start, it’s not needed, not a good advert for our sport, Josh Pickering saved this meeting1 point

You are really quite vile aren’t you Rew is not a dirty rider not by any stretch of the imagination Clearly he was at fault but not everytime another rider takes someone else off is it dangerous riding …. A rider can simply make a misjudgement it happens ….. I remember in a GP Mark Loram coming under Rickardsson and taking his front wheel away … was Mark dirty? No he just got it wrong Keynan will be devastated about what’s happened … it didn’t need forum idiots like you running their mouth off. Belle Vue fans on here and on social media are attaching no blame to Rew and rightly so as they are speedway fans We should all be wishing Tate the best and every Ipswich fan will do ….. so wind your neck in on here1 point

I think we’re all a little suspicious regarding the reasons given, even Lynn themselves don’t seem convinced. I just think could be a problem in the BSPL green lighting a transfer elsewhere when it leaves Lynn with more than one headache to solve. Wouldn’t sit right really.1 point

This is spot on and something I've referenced many times on here before. The sniping doesn't do anything but damage unfortunately. Speedway is a sport that is struggling right now outside the Premiership and having listened to Mark Lemon the other week suggesting Belle Vue need to kick on and make big events (Like the SoN) a success otherwise they're not sure how much longer they can sustain the National Stadium, that should be a big warning to everyone, if we actually needed it just the position of speedway in the UK in general We need everyone working together and on the same page to help the sport out, not constantly running clubs down when they're trying their best, often with little financial reward at the end of it.1 point

Well it made for another great night's speedway (and all credit to the Tigers and their fans) but it underlines how badly the Spires need strengthening. Mind you on past form our next move will be to replace Tungate with Lambert ... Simon Lambert.1 point

i 1000% agree with you. League Speedway offers very little in terms of credibility and in fact often only serves to generate animosity between fan groups who both adore the same sport. IOW are pushing boundaries and building something that actually looks to be a sustainable product (something few others could argue about league speedway) and the US style handicap meeting taking place this week is at the top end of Warriors entertainment.1 point

Should Woffinden get a pick next year - No - he finished 11th in 2023, apart from injuries he doesn't seem up to GP standard any more, perhaps he'll save face and announce he doesn't want to be in next year's GPs anyway. Should the Russians be allowed back in - Yes - they are participating in other sports ie Tennis, the GPs would be better for having Emil Sayfutdinov participating and Laguta should also have a place. How are GP riders picked, let the top 6 automatically qualify, look at 7 and 8 and see if extenuating circumstances apply ie injury that stopped them being in top 6. As for the rest have some form of Country qualifying rounds, perhaps 3 rounds in each Country and then allocate the places accordingly.1 point
