My two-penneth for what’s it worth. The FIM officials have to go by the rules, so a race-off or fastest time are not in the rule book so cannot be used. What however is in the rule book ? If two riders are level on points and wins, 2nds etc can’t split them then the head - to - head decides- simple !! Then it goes on to say if the tie involves MORE than 2 riders, it is checked to see whether there is a possibility to determine a Proper precedence. It then goes on to use as an example 3 riders A, B and C and how they can be split. It then says that if the above cannot split the riders then GP rankings will be used. My opinion mirrors yours and that the MORE THAN TWO doesn’t mean 3 MAX ( or they would have said so !)and that the head to head between the 4 riders should have been used. We know Lambert and Janowski won 2 and lost 1, so they should have been through and with Bewley and Vaculik winning 1 then the head to head between the two should have seen Bewley through.6 points

Ipswich have done the track for their team and why not make it so the away riders are scared of it.5 points

Wasn't expecting the Tigers to win this especially when they were missing Dan and running RR for Woffy4 points

When I agree @racers and royals and @WembleyLion then it suggests to me that a consensus has emerged, and it is that the FIM failed to follow their own rules and got in wrong4 points

15 metres? He just got excluded Kelvin for falling... And Allen doesn't know the rules either..3 points

Thanks to the responders who helped with our travel plans. This was our first time at Cardiff. What an incredible experience! Us adults really enjoyed - my 8 year old loved the immersiveness. He was sure the louder he shouted, the faster bewley, lambert & brennan were going. There were many empty seats but that didn't stop the crowd. Fantastic atmosphere. We are the described "new fans" - my Dad took us to watch in Glasgow when he could lay his hand on free tickets (there was 4 of us kids, so I'll give him a pass 😆). We, all 20's and 30's now, have a rekindled love for the sport, with my 8 year old. It's a shame to see so much negativity- there are new supporters coming into the sport: most younger folk are simply unaware that is in existence. Word of mouth is incredible - I've not known anyone I've recommended to attend - even at that much lower championship level - to not enjoy it and have a fantastic night and either want to or actively go back. The amount of "gatekeeping" by older fans is laughable - not all, of course, but those "diehards", my best example being that I still can't comment on our local teams fan page! - these need to be verified and have waited for 1+ year! Please, be more accommodating of us newbies! I certainly hope Cardiff goes again next year. I'll be one of the first in line for tickets and will be recommending to many others - may even put on a bus (we also had no response to the glasgow one, despite it being broadcasted of availability on here..). Very open to all of your knowledge and experience. Welcoming of suggestions for tracks to visit, and other GPs for us to plan around our holidays next year!3 points

Congratulations to Rachel Hellowell on becoming the new British Champion , I understand she won comfortably in wet conditions from last years champ, Katie Gordon , according to reports on Facebook ( haven’t seen anything official from the SCB ). Well done on the I.O.W. for staging it but, with only 5 entrants, what happened to the massive drive to bring more females into the sport? The FIM training school at Belle Vue that attracted all the hype had around 20-25 female riders yet the European Championship attracted around 10 and this championship only 5! Yet again, a lot of talk but little action from the powers that be.2 points

One thing is for certain we would have won this with Doyle and Emil and Ellis but those are the breaks2 points

Scott... Why do the Promoters think they can charge over twenty quid for this? Why is a Belle Vue rider helping another team to qualify for the play offs? Why don't the commentaters know the rules or be able to add up? When is the Kabbadi back on TV?2 points

BSN are not showing the BSN semis and final - apparently!! They don't like showing Poole too often!😍 ps. looks as though Craig Cook is back for Leicester this evening so barring any injury (or feeding/changing duties) he should be at Wimborne Road on Wednesday!2 points

I do wish Bewley would get himself a proper manager/mentor, a Pete Adams type or even Adams himself. The rest of the SGP field must be absolutely crapping themselves at just how good Dan Bewley can be. For me he's by some distance the most talented rider in the field, generally is always right up there or fastest in qualifying, gets through to a final and generally wins it, pressure doesn't seem to effect him, must have ice running through his veins... but inexplicably just goes missing from time to time, maybe he just needs somebody to focus his mind, I don't know.2 points

Not bad from the 'throttle jockey' Bewley who people say can only do it in Poland and NSS Belle Vue. Twice won on the small track at Cardiff.2 points

Thank you Brum especially Pawlicki for making me look an idiot, I can do that myself thank you without any help from you guys 😁. I feel so sorry for Nigel Tolley the Birmingham fans and loyal band of helpers they deserve so much better than what they have been served up this season. It is pretty obvious to everyone now if it wasn't before that Birmingham have had there pants pulled down by Pawlicki, I would get rid of him instantly (nothing to lose) and replace him with anyone that is available and wants to ride, back to the result and firstly well done Kings Lynn you wanted it more than Birmingham who sadly are simply unable to get seven riders to get it together on the same night, I will say in my opinion the track does not help their cause and that needs to be looked at if they are to be back next season in fact I would put it at the top of the list of things to do for 2025.1 point

I thought Ipswich would win due to the reserves pilling in the points against Edwards and Harrison but King's gone into his disapperaing act when the pressure is on and that's final blow.1 point

Of course they are, and that's the saddest part - they react so rapidly to different surfaces, which makes them much more difficult to turn and control on the bends. The Holders will be fine now that it's drying out. Sheffield should go on to win ...1 point

Tatum with his made up rules the idea of putting someone off 15 when he fell off at the back & the incorrect graphics!1 point

Exactly and that’s the one thing missing from a tv meeting again - racing. Track is shocking and looks like a ploughed field in places. It does nothing to encourage people to go and watch this crap and looking at the sparse crowd it’s working.1 point

Whose fault is that. You have so many blank dates on a Thursday because the sport has capitulated to Poland and riders who seem to be dictating far more than is healthy for a minor sport.1 point

Watching on Eurosport and the picture is breaking up sums up the rubbishe state of the sport, no wonder it is not taken seriously and even having a 1/2 in the GP in Cardiff the media is not interested. Sums up the position of the sport and who in there right mind would want to get involved in this mickey mouse presentation or put serious money into speedway. You faff about having to follow it on Discovery+ and most discerning follows simply cannot be bothered to hunt down the televised coverage. BSPL seemingly do not have a brain when it comes to the most sensible media exposure.1 point

Of course. It was never going to be anything but... However, I bet the parties concerned never expected such an easy ride from those in opposition to the plans.. The lack of any fight basically rubber stamped the situation that now exists... "We just have to trust that all will end well" seemed to be the "plan of action".... Coventry showed how a pressure group should work.. Swindon didn't seem to have a pressure group..1 point

Just because your throttle jockey Belle Vue riders can't make a pass on anybody away from the NSS you have a down on the other tracks?1 point

I don't think the lack of home appearances from the national team helps. To expect the mainstream press to report on a national team that only makes an appearance on these shores once every few years is unrealistic and there's no way on this earth they're going to report on the appearances in the back of beyond on the continent.1 point

If so, that's something new. Wembley was always packed, yet nobody went THERE for the racing...1 point

Sorry but Tate was hanging on was wide and could not control the bike he hit deep dirt when that happens the bike picks up drive eg speed, the rider becomes a passenger. This is not a argument about how a crash happens, its about track prep by letting dirt build up on the outside and riders all try to use that part of the track.that then give us one line follow the leader racing. Just start early pull the dirt back across all the track lets get back to racing1 point
