I’m talking about real time action,at the time of the crash it was a close race at the back but the cameras are focused on the front 2 that are spread out, they do this all the time, they are so amateurish, BSN are far better on a fraction of the cost, BSN capture the essence of speedway, Eurosport are like cable network channel from the 90s7 points

BSN put a superb show consider their resources you actually feel that your are at the match sitting the house.Hope they have had a successful season financially.Great coverage.6 points

Rather BV in the final than Sheffield simply due to the track. One the best in the country, the other a bit of a death trap. Will be very easy for BV in the final.5 points

Really? I’m not the only one saying it … listen to Scott explaining the track issues and that riders do not like riding the place5 points

Well all you bad vibers and negative Nancy’s can get back under your rocks now. Fantastic piece for the end of season on the comets socials. Team building well under way by the sounds of it and I’m excited to see who we bring in to hopefully go a couple steps further and lift some silverware in 2025.5 points

A pleasing outcome Another match at the NSS rather than that wall of death . Cannot stick jack holder , the most stinking attitude of any rider for donkeys years .4 points

Well done belle vue and special mention to anti voulas who’s points over 2 legs don’t justify the effort he put in4 points

Silly move leaving Edwards in, Stead's mentally gone. Gilkes 5 points tonight, Edwards only 1 point.4 points

Sheffield track ruined Ipswich's chances of silverware with Emil's injury, Now it's possibly ruined BV's chances too with Cook's injury.4 points

#bend2barmyarmy 'wannabe hooligans' ? Not in my experience. They sing their songs and support their team. I've seen nothing to suggest they are hooligans. They 'look terrible in general'. What does that mean? 'Especially that James fella.Seems a right wind up merchant'. Have you spoken to him? In my experience he's a polite bloke who talks to anyone and supports his team. Your experience is different to mine. British speedway desperately needs more animated fans creating atmosphere. Obviously I want that to be good natured ( as it always has been in British Speedway) so there is a line that shouldn't be crossed.4 points

That depends how you assess the product. Anyone watching speedway at Ashfield would say that the racing has improved year on year. If that is the product and it has improved then does the points limit really have much impact? Have admission prices increased by much more than inflation in recent times? It seems that too much importance is placed on the points limit every year by promoters and fans alike when there is so much more to the sport. Speedway fans often like to throw stones at their own sport rather than enjoy the sporting spectacle which is just as good as most other sports. There is room for improvement but are things so bad to warrant the frequent negativity that is on display on this forum?4 points

Absolutely. Takes some guts to ride like that after suffering such horrendous injuries just a couple of years ago. Great to see such passion from him after the race as well.4 points

The Holder's even got sick of the death trap tonight. Steady and co. should be satisified with the KOC win because they only won that due to Emil feeling the full force of Owlerton.3 points

Get in there Belle Vue The Holder brothers badly let Sheffield down Nothing better than Sheffield being taken down a peg or two and Belle Vue did it with a rider missing3 points

Why do the Sheffield track staff allow the dirt to build up against the fence in such a way to make it dangerous? Not difficult to bring it back towards the center.3 points

Such a dangerous track. The fact they have spades rather than rakes say it all.3 points

The valid point is they weaken the product ,charge more and expect increase in Attendance. The not a winning solution in my book.3 points

I fully agree with this. UK Speedway needs a more football style atmosphere, if you take someone to Speedway for the first time and the atmosphere is amazing, the buzz of that has a very good chance of bringing them back. What we don't want is for it to cross the line into abuse. The 2022 final at Sheffield was the best atmosphere I've been in during my 40 odd years watching the Aces, it was absolutely mental when we won, and that's because (as Mike BV says) it meant something to the fans and it meant something to our riders (as you saw with Zagar Jumping into the crowd). The flares added to the whole event, although i do understand some don't like them. If speedway is to survive and certainly if its going to grow, we need to move away from the current clap and move on brigade, harsh but true.3 points

I'm sorry to read this! In my experience there's nothing like being in a big group of away fans especially if your team are winning!3 points

Another cracking meeting tonight. Fair play to Scunthorpe for keeping it so close, but Nicholls and Masters proving to be the difference once again in heats 13 and 15. Special mention to Dan Gilkes in heat 14 - that was one hell of a ride.3 points

Blimey.... Never go to Poland then... The whole purpose of team sports is to have that tribal element... Without it, there is no point in running it using a team concept... I bet the Sheffield promoters will have no apprehension tomorrow given they will get a fair few extra grand., The most all season from any team visiting...3 points

Totally agree on this. We stand on turn 3/4 and with the Belle Vue fans all grouped together on that terrace it was very intimidating, to the extent my wife remarked "this is exactly why I don't go to football". We actually left before heat 15 as the result was decided and she was feeling uncomfortable. The league matches this season haven't been too bad as not so many travelled, but she is already apprehensive about tomorrow night.3 points

One heat leader, three second strings and three reserves probably the make up off most teams next year. What could possibly go wrong, It must be the only sport i know that weakening the product time after time will make everything better, and they still expect you to pay the same if not more for it.3 points

No, I think it is a rule that Chris Harris has to ride in every televised match.2 points

Something has to be done about this track during the winter because it's not safe. We cant have this raking it back into the middle nonsense only for it all to go back out to the fence after 1 lap.2 points

Eurosport frustrates the hell out of me, everything about it is just amateur, constantly missing the action and even missed the crash there2 points

If Anders wants to ride for the stars next year it would be a travesty not to offer him a place2 points

not sure its snowflakism if women and children feel threatened and unsafe, bit silly to label it as such as with anything there is a balance to be struck, a raucous atmosphere can only be a good thing as long as people arent going too far2 points

Can’t disagree but I’ll take crap racing over two legs if the Lions can pull it off. On this occasion, I’d prefer to create history (for the Lions) over entertainment.2 points

Of course he will improve - he is only 19 - this year as an example was only time 2nd time he raced at Poole. Unlike all of the UK riders who have grown up racing on these tracks. He could easily put 1-2 points on his away average. Anyway if Tigers don’t want him the club who does take him will get the rewards just like tigers did this year - a 4 point rider who managed 7+ points at home every week. And yes even when at number 6 he still beat all the same riders.2 points

Maybe they should do a "Guest Of The Week" feature.. Covering all the riders who score points for other teams apart from their own..? That would fill a few pages for the UK coverage... Personally, it is still excellent value for money and a superb window into the sport for anyone outside looking in.. They truly do make a silk purse out of a sows ear at times..2 points
