I do however think there should be a test for some fans before they can access social media9 points

It wasn't a terrible advert for the sport at all. It actually made it look interesting on TV for a change. I watched as a neutral, and found myself rooting for Oxford as the two meetings went on (Lord knows why!), but the way people are moaning about Poole actually having a bit of character and spirit is ridiculous. Do speedway fans really just want deckchairs, flasks and programme boards?7 points

Having watched Vinnie Foord crash six times in his last three meetings (and take out two air fences), is he too dangerous? Should there be some sort of speedway exam (like a driving test) riders should take before being allowed to race against other riders? He’s going to cause someone serious harm.6 points

The entire Poole team is a disgrace. Lawson spitting the dummy when clearly took out Masters. Tobias Thomsen dropping the C bomb on TV and then gesturing to the crowd at the trophy. Vinnie Foord fencing Luke Killeen, then Jody Scott and antagonising the crowd. A terrible advert for the sport and I bet the SCB do nothing.......fines and bans should be dished out to Thomsen and Foord.5 points

Reading the Forum it appears that every opponent that won a race at Ashfield is signing for next season😂👍5 points

He did they have a place they could move into tomorrow except they need to wait until a motorway junction nearby is altered before they can get on with planning permission from council. Its a 21 acre site which will be used for multiple sports with Adams and CVS running the speedway and Tai in charge of the rest.4 points

Vinnie will told to use his whole hand when waving to the crowd as it is upsetting the “snowflakes”4 points

Tried to explain this last night, watch it frame by frame, Scott is the one who turns into foord, once they got tangled up the crash was inevitable but too many people are either caught up in the emotion or just bias to see what actually happened4 points

Tarasenko was supposed to sign for Birmingham. Glasgow remember sign wojydolo and signed tarasenko after that was blocked. Reality is he offered his services to all championship clubs isn't it, but why let that get in the way of an excuse that's taken a year to come up with 🤣4 points

From a Poole perspective obviously really enjoyable meeting. Drama, crashes and hard racing. On the relevant incidents. Lawson took Masters wheel so correct decision, Vinnie footrest got caught in Killeen's front wheel so he had got ahead but he did seem to move over so probably alot would have given it the other way. I thought Nicholls was rolling but maybe just a great start so a bit unlucky. Boughen slowed going in to first bend leaving Zach nowhere to go. Vinnie took out Jody Scott which looked reckless and doesnt look any better on replay! As Brennan said if he had rode better Saturday we wouldnt have had this steep hill to climb but he rectified that last night. Killeen's second crash was on his own and walked away so not sure why withdrawn maybe effects of earlier crash.4 points

Poland are not doing "anyone over"... The UK had Thursday as their priority night... And they gave it up so Poland could use it... No point complaining now...4 points

All we need to know is……….if there are any incidents…….NONE of them will be a Poole rider’s fault…..lol3 points

I saw him twice at Workington this season and never thought he was dirty,Might be because it was a final last night and more on the line.3 points

Would that incident (not accident) have happened last night had there not been an air fence? By the accounts of others Foord has been riding on borrowed air time because of those air fences he has destroyed in the past? I don't know... no doubt crashing into a solid fence head on would focus the mind somewhat in the future!3 points

I’m afraid it is true. Poole were offered Tarasenko before he signed for Glasgow. Matt didn’t want to sack Kyle Newman in order to bring him in.3 points

Let’s face it, the biggest problem all round these days is caused by riders riding for more than one team.3 points

I don't think he has an awful attitude. It looked to me like the Oxford fans were giving him stick, and he was giving it back with a smile on his face. I like him, and I think he has a lot of potential. I do agree that he is a bit of a bull in a china shop at the moment, however, and needs to calm down a bit.3 points

I’ve also seen some good racing at Ipswich too this year believe it or not. The majority of tracks are much of a muchness, mostly processional with a few highlights thrown in here and there. The NSS is the only track in my experience that provides good racing more often than not.3 points

Any Oxford fan or neutral who felt Oxford were unlucky with refereeing decisions, should also admit they should've had a bigger lead after the non inclusion of Killeen in heat 12 of the first leg. Would a 14 or 16 point lead have changed the tone of the match, we'll never know. But if the refs getting the blame, Schroeck should too.3 points
-
The fact you’ve stated these two things, suggests you probably should go back and watch it!3 points

Don't need to watch it. Killen was not taken out by Foord. Scott Nicholls was rolling at the start so it was called back. Ben Cook did not take out Ashton Boughen. Your post is complete nonsense apart from the Vinnie Foord and Jody Scott incident which Vinnie was at fault. Plus your stupid comment saying the ref was a homer. It's Poole not Poodle.3 points
-
watch it back on BSN pal. foord took out kileen and scott. cook took out boughton. nicholls was pulled back and warned when making a perfect start. i’m not an oxford fan but these incidents tilted the outcome in poodle’s favour3 points

Ref bottled excluding 2 pie rats in a row. Simple as3 points

Plenty or here wanting to vilify Vinnie, but Luke has had his fair share of causing crashes in the last couple of season being slightly reckless shall we say. Inexperience and over enthusiasm from both I would say.Seen plenty of others over the years.2 points
-
Are you sure? When he joined the Stars in June, the announcements only mentioned he was doing so "for the remainder of the season". Whilst it would be good to see him back in the UK, it's looking unlikely.2 points
-
What happens in other crashes is irrelevant to the point about last night crash with Scott,,the fact remains Scott turned into him, yes he is wild but every crash has to be judged on its own merit, with you’re logic foord should be excluded for every race he is in where there is a crash2 points

He needs to mature, his winding up of Oxford fans was not needed and as the old adage says to finish first, first you have to finish!2 points

I know Oxford like to promote their youngsters & that is admirable, but there is a time & a place for doing that. Imo it's not when you are chasing a Premiership play-offs place (dropping Kemp) not in a grand final (not using Starke?) Maybe they tried a guest & couldn't get one, but I agree Starke could've made a big difference.2 points

Firstly congratulations to Poole. They were the class act of the league throughout the season, and worthy winners. Another masterclass in team building. A lot has been made of Peter Schroeck's poor decision in the first leg, but an arguably even bigger blunder was not finding a suitable guest for Atkins/Roynon. Relying on Jody Scott was an awful decision, I don't think he beat an opposing rider over the two legs (bar Thomsen when he had bike issues). I like the lad and he's going to improve, but he's just not Championship level yet. Surely a decent guest wouldn't have been too hard to find for a final? Oxford had Paul Starke at Poole in the league and someone like him taking six rides instead of Scott could have been the difference. Poor effort from Schroeck in my opinion. He has had an absolute stinker in this final. Anyway, congratulations to Poole again. On to the KO Cup now.2 points

Nothing to do with rose tints, we have had enough riders in wheelchairs, we dont want anymore.2 points

Just got back from an alternate universe, where the Oxford Rebels held a 14 point lead going into the meeting after good use of Luke Killeen in the first leg. Oxford got off to a good start, having a 2 point lead following Foord's exclusion for "foul, dirty, absolutely outrageously disgustingly horrible riding" in heat 2. The Rebels kept the pressure on, and remained level on the night following Nicholl's perfect tapes-to-flag victory in heat 6. The Pirates started to edge away in the second half of the meeting, and were just 4 behind on aggregate going into the final heat. Sam Masters looked to be having bike problems, but a ray of light came down from Heaven and his bike seemed to be fixed miraculously by an act of God. Masters then clinched the required second place to give the Rebels a 2 point victory and win the League title. Congratulations to Oxford Rebels on their best campaign since finishing bottom of the league in 1974. Poole Pirates ha ha ha! Glug! Glug! Glug! Much better meeting than the Swindon v Coventry Eurosport bore-fest in the Elite League play-offs.2 points

I don't think a Speedway exam would do any good, I'm sure he could ride round safely in practice. But against two opponents in a grand final, every rider is going to race harder, go for gaps they normally wouldn't etc. The only crash I've seen was his one with Jody Scott, I'd have excluded Vinnie, but wouldn't call that dangerous riding. Not seen enough of him to comment on his other crashes.2 points

They think it's all over...........IT IS NOW! 🏆☠️2 points

And they couldn't Brennan must be one of the signings of the season made a massive impact at Poole2 points

Let's face it, even before losing Killeen Oxford were always going to be up against it. Barring one ride and a bloody good ride at that Boughen and Scott over the two meetings have scored 4 and 5 respectively with Scott not beating an opponent. Add in Nicholls poor performance tonight, beating only the two reserves in heat four and Hagon in heat six. The writing was on the wall. Poole were there for the taking, but Nicholls and Killeen needed to be on it. Unfortunately For Oxford that wasn’t the case. Too many passengers. They will have do something different if they want any chance of beating Poole in the cup. Otherwise it will be the treble for the Pirates.2 points

poole were pretty filthy. won dirty maybe the best way to describe the comeback.2 points

50/50 decision, Killeen can count himself unlucky but so could foord if it went other way, love Vinnie winding up Oxford fans, what speedway needs2 points
