  1. Wherever he ends up he should be encouraged rather than vilified a young kid who clearly has talent but a raw talent. Starting a thread questioning if a young kid is dangerous is over the top.

  2. Yes, but look who started it. Says it all really. I have enjoyed watching him at Poole this season, entertaining and edge of your seat whenever he is out. If he ends up with you guys, he'll definitely get a good reception when he comes back down here.

  3. Crashfield 😂, did you come up with that yourself 👏🏻, have a wee gold star for your clever wit and banter. Why would Glasgow buy another new fence when they've already bought FIM safety Fence for the 2025 season? Back to the playground and try and pick up some better 'banter' , least be bitter and funny rather than just bitter and attention seeking.

  4. I've only just gotten to watch it. Seems unfair to single out Vinnie. There were a lot of hard moves by the Poole team as a whole. As Thomsen said, Vinnie was just "sharing the stunts" I think that's what he said anyway 🤔

  5. Did you see Foord in the first leg at Oxford, or the U19 championship? He's definitely a bit reckless, but has speed. Just needs to learn to tone it down a bit - and more importantly listen to advice from some more senior riders.

  6. Isn't this fund being run by the supporters club not the speedway promotion? I think that any money raised should be held in escrow until they start the 2025 season, using it to pay off debts I don't feel is appropriate but that's up to the individual I guess

  7. Artem has not said much about him being in the series. Interview was about top riders in the Polish Extraliga as far as their CMA were concerned. Artem holds the top spot in the CMA recokonigs an Bartek hold the top spot as far as the world titles are concerned. Marek Cieslak said that personally he regrets that Artem is not in the GP series, and Artem remarked : so do I.

  8. It's OK we are widening the track again and getting a new air fence.

  9. rowe has gone elsewhere s lambert would only work with a big scoring number one and we wont be getting one of those. itll be a solid team with a far better rider than simon at 6

  10. He's a good egg is Dave Fairbrother, a man of few words who gets things done - he's great, as posted you do get a bit embarrassed making one too many Friday phone calls "er I'm afraid my Speedway Star hasn't arrived...". Thing is the internet connection / wi-fi is so hit & miss in these parts due to the partial upgrading of the network to fibre optic, much prefer paper hard copy anyhoo....

  14. Probably want to get the play-offs semi finals organised, give them lots of time to publicise it. For commercial reasons obviously

  15. If it was the difference between running or not, I'd let Birmingham run in the Champ on a Monday. Don't sign riders from a Monday Premiership club & do your best to avoid clashes with doubling up riders. Like you say, with less fixtures, should be achievable. Even if it means gusts used occasionally, would anyone notice?

  16. Yeah, but it's a blow up air fence and not a polyfoam, so meetings might last longer than we're used to 😄

  17. This looks a great meeting to go to, hope they get a massive crowd, Graham Arnold has done such a lot for speedway over the years on shoestring resources.

  18. Got it now, that was in relation to the previous post. 👍🏻 A Dudley-Wolves trophy would be good to watch again... we'll see

  19. I'm referring to Wolves not Cradley, and the comment from Wolfie456 about Peter Adams comments. The Heathen 52 comment which included the '2 miles outside Dudley' comment is in relation to a site for Cradley.

  20. Yes the freeze frame parts made the incidents alot easier to understand, I was at the apex of 1/2 and in h8 you could see there was an issue long before they ploughed into the corner but didn't really know what had happened. The interview made me alot more sympathetic to our Vinnie, because I have had my doubts about his riding skill, although never his commitment. Also think it's a shame not to be competing against a full Oxford team, but that's speedway I guess. Mind you beware of the wounded beast!

  21. No contest,Granty Snr was far the better rider.

  22. Zmarzlik was awarded the title of best Polish rider at the Ekstraliga awards. This is despite the fact that Artem had the better average. Polish speedway is a corrupt mess.

  24. It's actually quite mind boggling that the planning department and case officer thought that they could take this forward given that AEPG have failed on every metric within the NPPF & Peterborough Local Plan. I kept reading agenda pack thinking that Butterfield & co must have given their eviction of Peterborough Speedway some thought and consideration at some point? He and they clearly never did but now they have their self imposed timeline to meet & the EEAS whining (read the planning portal comments) about wanting their money. They have to throw the dice now and can't undo their incompetence. I'm sure that the Peterborough City Council Planning and Environmental Protection Committee are looking forward to looking at and justifying a decision on this mess?

  26. Could just be they're looking to go down a different direction in terms if captain, maybe taking it off Kyle so he can just focus on his racing. Personally only reason I could see us not signing Kyle is because of averages.

  28. I only use realistic riders when building 1-7's and riders who I think will be available to a said club. If it's a 40.00 limit then this team = 39.99 after British reductions. 1. Fricke 2. Kerr 3. Douglas 4. Lawson 5. Masters 6. C. Cook 7. (RS)

  30. Everyone has been giving him so much stick it's great to see him interview like this. He does acknowledge that he crashes and falls alot. One post on the Lions FB page has Vinnie riding and everyone commented on how he would hit the air fence and he took like a champ. I'm sure the Oxford fans aren't getting to him one bit.

  32. If its a 39 point limit the obvious team feels like- 1.C holder 8.79/J Holder 8.85 2. Howarth 5.05/Kerr 4.77 or Sedgy 4.79 3. Picko 6.74 4. Harris 6.06 5. Woffy 8.45 6. Rowe 3.91 7. Edwards or Gilkes Don't think it'll be far off that.

  33. If we’re signing Lambert we might as well have Rowe on a similar average, and there is no way we could realistically fit both in the team without having two big hitters (which we won’t have)

  34. From the very first day back then I was always in favour of anonymous discussion forums. But it's d1ckheads like you that while actually knowing zäkzhit pass their opinions as facts or present them as facts and when given the actual info just laugh at it have really put me off. It's not just you, I just decided to blame you for everything today.

  35. Whilst I admire the owner for pumping money into the club, it is their risk. Going cap in hand to gullible supporters in an attempt to keep the ship afloat is naive to say the least. The bottom line is simply that there is very little interest in the sport in the city and hasn’t been for a number of years. Nobody wants to see any club close, but it’s a business, supply and demand etc. Enthusiasm and passion does not pay bills.

  37. The only nonsense on here is YOUR TROLLING. It is factual that the meeting started at 20:05, I was their with several Belle Vue season ticket holders. Up to heat 9 the weather, although raining from heat 6 had not affected the racing with scores equal at 27-27. From heat 10 onwards races directly affected by the rain with 5-1 to Belle Vue in 3 consecutive heats. In the Premiership play off the races were affected by the weather and delays in having heat 4 interval to wait for the rain. All in all a lot needs changing with the way the meetings are run and a more professional approach. Particularly the weather and timing of breaks, frequency of tractor racing and much more. The crazy part of all this is the rose tinted glasses everyone appears to look at speedway at the moment in this country. It is on its knees and all and sundry think all is well, look at Birmingham and round the boards. Time to change with avengeance and put all behind that needs leaving behind including doddering trolls

  38. When is somebody, anybody, going to do something about costs. The riders need to be able to spend less, be paid less and fans pay less admission - this arms race is only going to end one way. Birminghams crowds probably National League (footy) level or worse and their players will be on a fraction of what it costs for someone like Lindgren. Its utter madness.

  39. It's not just Poole, it's not just speedway. This is a result of giving the sadder individuals amongst us the freedom to spout via social media. In previous eras they would have been moaning alone or in small groups of sad moaners and been ignored by most of society. Today, social media gives them an equal voice.

  41. Let's all hope that those noisy Oxford fans keep quiet and "Dangerous" Vinnie Foord doesn't try too hard or interact with anyone. That way there will be no atmosphere so it will be a good advert for the sport.

  44. Tried to explain this last night, watch it frame by frame, Scott is the one who turns into foord, once they got tangled up the crash was inevitable but too many people are either caught up in the emotion or just bias to see what actually happened

  45. Let’s face it, the biggest problem all round these days is caused by riders riding for more than one team.

  46. I don't think he has an awful attitude. It looked to me like the Oxford fans were giving him stick, and he was giving it back with a smile on his face. I like him, and I think he has a lot of potential. I do agree that he is a bit of a bull in a china shop at the moment, however, and needs to calm down a bit.

  47. Im guessing thats a fantasy team were you dont have to worry about income and expenditure... Great team but would bankrupt Oxford as potentially you have 4 number 1's who all want number 1 money
