Well speedway has just gone full on Mickey Mouse with this decision Irrelevant that it’s Poole it’s a cup competition for the top league and the top league only Basically it will be a Poole select side ….. as an Ipswich fan I don’t want Tom representing Poole and risking injury and not would whichever club Ben Cook rides for Absolute farce of a decision5 points

Wouldn't mind a Berwick rider being in decline and be in the top 5 or 6 of the averages in various countries for the past few seasons.5 points

I think fans who discredit this idea is taking the p!$$ to be honest. Woffinden has almost singlehandedly lifted Great Britain back on the world stage. Without this guy, we'd be nowhere near the medal tables in the 'Speedway of Nations', 'World Cup', 'Speedway Grand Prix'. He has given our up & coming young lads something to believe in & aim for. The belittling of his achievements & service by many to British Speedway overall is nothing short of absurd. Disgraceful in fact. Tai Woffinden IS a true 🇬🇧 legend4 points

Poole will provide better opposition than a bye, I don't see any problem with it...4 points

Still a class act at this level. We will happily swap, we will keep cookie an you can go into the season with batchelor as your number 1? Thought not4 points

Expecting: Ben Cook Jan Kvech Richard Lawson Niels K Iversen NIcolai Klindt Chris Harris Ashton Boughen *confirmed3 points

Personally think it’s bonkers that the pirates cab ride in the premiership KO cup. Well it’s not even Poole it’s effectively a select side they can go with. Must’ve been several pints down when they came up with this and thought it was a good idea.3 points

And he didn’t get going until May/June! His mechanical issues were well documented both here and in Poland. Once sorted he was back to the form he showed the previous season where he comfortably topped the averages. He’s now on a figure a point less than the one he started on, there’s an increase there. He’s another reason we’ve managed to squeeze in the team we have, alongside five brits with reductions and one of them on a 25% reduction. Our main competition you’d think, will all have a weaker team on paper than they did this year. We probably won’t get another opportunity as good as next year for a while, they’ve built absolutely superbly.3 points

I would say Brennan, Dan T, Ellis, Sayfutdinov & Jenkins could all be expected to up their averages. Can't see any team getting close to them over the regular season tbh.3 points

Was looking forward to return of green helmet colour. Gutted. being serious, glad there are so few changes KO Cup; was the draw arranged - getting Holders back at Poole. What’s not to like? It will be box office.2 points

Shame Poole didn't get Leicester. Could have doubled up as the jubilee trophy.2 points

Oh great! Let's p!$$ off the best thing to happen to British Speedway recently - British Speedway Network, by dropping their competition!!!!??2 points

And rightly so. Much better idea than having an uneven number of clubs and one club skipping a round. Good decision.2 points

So the 7 Prem clubs invite the 2024 Championship winners into the ko cup 1st round rather than have 3 meetings and a bye! What's not to like.......?2 points

Well a 40 point limit to work with. Better news is we’ve got the pairs on the 5th April. Now to see some announcements.2 points

Musielak has always wanted to ride in the UK since he started riding for Swindon (and Wolves before) - his commitment and availability have never been an issue.... until he went to KL.2 points

For someone on a decline at the time of his crash he was 3rd in the averages for the league behind Doyle and J Holder. But yes he's on a decline 😂 and for him being injury prone. Every rider would be out with the injury he sustained, I don't see him having time off for a dodgy shoulder or concussion because he rarely crashes2 points

It wasn't done to strengthen Leicester, but to get under the points limit. Everyone knows Leicester will be weaker next year.2 points

He must really hate Glasgow….he’s the only one not been mentioned in their line-up…..lol2 points

Exactly mate, if the lineup is complete and everyone seems to know who we’ve got anyway then why not just announce it and get it out the way? and as you said they can start selling season tickets then1 point

Love it when clubs just get it over a done with ASAP instead of drip fedding announcements. Fair enough if it's Birmingham because fans of the sport genuinely have no idea about who's lining up for them but everyone else is common knowledge at this point so clubs may as well confirm everything now considering we're already in Mid-November. Fans can get those season tickets then.1 point

It's not NEW for King's Lynn. It's actually very 'Rob Lyon' (& Jonathan Chapman) to announce full or 'close to' in one go. Back in the day we used to have fan forums in November / December at the AFA or King's Lynn Football Club with team announcements & rider's there taking questions from the fans. Those were good times 👍🏻1 point

Best and worst thing for the sport as it allows fans the chance to sit at home and watch a meeting for 12 pun with there family like i know happened with the play off semi final. On the positive note the exposure is awesome and gives less fortunate fans who dont go Home/Away the chance to follow there team with a big fat pizza int house.1 point

It's not about peeing anyone off, Poole were insulated from the lack of fixtures experienced by some clubs last season. Looks like you are going to get another couple of fixtures minimum next season being included in the Premiership KO Cup. The Premiership don't have a BSN Series wonder if that p!$$e$ them off. You never said anything about the idea of having a North and South BSN section. Sure the BSPA could have worked round 9 teams like they have with the Premiership KO Cup. BSN could always sponsor the Championship KO Cup.1 point

They’re still part of the team. The others have also ridden and “done their jobs”. Never gonna agree with you here. Not wanting the very best riders out on track as often as possible is absolutely bonkers. Only in Speedway.1 point

poole being in the cup is a bit mickey mouse imo but hopefully its the start of them coming back up so they can stop piddling about in the champs1 point

Because league Speedway is a team sport, not individual or pairs and I think that if the "team" is to get that extra league point then it should be about the team and not a couple of big hitters that have probably already done their job in claiming the super heat anyway... if not why not just make every team league meeting a pairs meeting? It would also help bring riders on and give them experience of pressure situation races.1 point

I wonder what this 'new initiative' that ipswich are doing towards youth is...? Got to be more than just adding a team in the NDL the way it's worded. Perhaps it's just youth second half series? A bit like what Redcar have been doing for years... Anyone got any ideas?1 point
-
I don’t agree with that! They either want to be in the prem or they don’t… I don’t mind the championship champions being in it but they should have to use their championship 71 point

Edwards is obviously already in and you’d think Lampart is a certainty… but yeah, I think they’ll end up with 2 or 3 of the other 5 aswell1 point

Likely losing Lawson is a big blow for Leicester... For me, I'd be trying to keep him over Becker and look to get Vuolas in at reserve1 point

My mistake. As I said, I hoped that I’d be corrected and I was. I’m pleased to hear David’s doing well. I didn’t/don’t know him personally, but he came across as a lovely young man when interviewed and evidently gave his all on the track. In a topic of inevitable sadness, it’s pleasing to hear he’s not only doing well, but is thriving.1 point

Take away the off track problems and Cook is and has been one of the best riders the league for years. The bloke is quality and bangs in points wherever he goes.1 point

I know there’s been speculation…..but I didn’t know Poole had actually moved from Winbourne Road?…….lol1 point

I suppose that depends on whether you want to watch live speedway or only watch it if you win. I much prefer to see good racing, whoever wins rather than boring victories but I know others think differently. I've seen some good meeting where my team has lost sometimes by quite a margin.1 point
