That's your choice, the facts are the the British speedway public simply no longer back it being at a place like Cardiff. After that there is no better place than Belle Vue. I go for the speedway not the day out.3 points

Made me quite nostalgic for my trips to Monmore reading that. I almost miss that kind of abusive behaviour.3 points

Its a fair comment. It's out of the clubs control. I guess allowing guests would be a whole new issue entirely and would see clubs signing riders that have no intention to ride thus allowing guests. It really is baffling though that in 48 hours of their number one dropping out of Leicesters team this early, and with the same manager as them, that Berwick haven't released a statement giving some clarity over the situation. Has Cook just decided he wants CL racing only, has he quit both leagues, has he had a bender and sent a text in the heat of the moment and now regrets it? Who knows.2 points

Managed to get main stand tickets. Selling well. I still think that day ticket sales will be good because Manchester is driveable on the day for so much of the country. I want this to be a success.2 points

What a ridiculous thing to say. Just because they are being sold, doesn't mean they aren't a rip off. As far as speedway and prices go, those ticket prices are an absolute p**stake. End of story.2 points

There was a lot of tickets blocked off which I assume will be for the one dayers next week. the Ā£250 tickets never went on sale so they must be for the guests and hospitality and once thatās sorted will go on general sale. so while it looks like the grandstand is sold out it isnāt. But itās sold better than I imagined it would so that good. south stand is selling very well and east is ok so far. More there than there was for son so far so thatās better.2 points

Things are only sold at prices people can afford. Thatās true of all things and has been for centuries. Nobody is being ripped off here. Looking at the sales, they could have charged more but choose not to - more fool them a Dragon would say. I use to visit other tracks to watch speedway RACING and came away feeling ripped off due to the poor product on show. I donāt visit away tracks anymore, like many many more. My biggest issue with this process is that day ticket buyers will have slim pickings once the 2-Dayers have swooped in.2 points

correct all those fans on here should go into hiding for making pathetic posts that it would fall on it's face how stupid do they feel right now !! glad to see the true true fans have bought tickets and will no doubt witness a spectacular weekend of racing !!2 points

Kyle should benefit from track time available at Glasgow, looks sharp in practise and seems like he's got his 2025 season head on already.1 point

Regarding Cook: Never fear, Iām sure thereāll be an exclusive interview with āLannoā about āmy demonsā in the Star over the next couple of weeks. With plenty of flowery language but not actually saying anything. Thatās the usual sketch.1 point

Make of this sign what you will, but to me it looks like you get 4 hours of free parking and that restrictions end after 8pm. In other words, as long as you arrive after 4pm, what's the problem? Yes, there are gates on the car park, and no they are never used. Anyone who'd been for a late-night KFC will be able to testify to that. Nandos is another place open to 10pm. The Gym at One Stop is open through the night from 8pm to 12am. So the car park has to stay open to allow for customers to access these businesses. Still, there's no commercial link-up any more so it won't be promoted. Cut off noses and spited faces spring to mind.1 point

It's gone because the FIM have let everything revolve around Polish Speedway. British Speedway is in no real worse state than it was in 2019 when there was about 40,000 attending Cardiff... WBD take over and the rest is history I'm afraid.1 point

Of the tickets released today there are just 171 tickets left in the south and Grandstand. 154 in the South and just 17 in the Grand Stand. 1963 tickets left in the east stand, not sure if that stand is 3k or 4k capacity (my guess is 3K). WOW.1 point

I can and I will, it's not just about British Speedway... We've gone from Copenhagen to a track in the middle of an industrial estate, we've gone from Berlin/Gelsenkirchen to a field somewhere in Germany, we've gone from Gothenburg/Stockholm to the middle of a forest in Sweden, we've gone from Cardiff to the slums of Manchester! WBD have destroyed the SGP as a spectacle1 point

But if there isnāt anywhere for excess cars to travel and park then people wonāt bother and that then will affect the club. The home fans will always find somewhere to park but clubs need to ensure there is suitable parking for the travelling fans.1 point

one of the very few things you are right about i have to agree with you're original post about the tickets they were always going sell1 point

To add a bit more context and comparison to another GP I'm attending this year. Block C Seats for the 2-night package at the NSS are £215. So, £107.50 for each GP. I was bought a ticket as a Christmas present for the Wroclaw GP on 30 August. It is Sektor V1 in the Main Grandstand at the Olympic Stadium. This is pretty much the equivalent position between the starting gate and the first bend. Face value of the Wroclaw ticket is 499PLN - almost exactly £100 depending on the exchange rate at the time of purchase. Their equivalent back straight tickets (and seated too) could be cheaper than those in the South Stand at the NSS, but from where my tickets are located at both venues it's not too much different.1 point

Not from an Ipswich point of view or Dan's as he has progressed more by having better riders around him1 point

Must admit I found the move to race suits very good - it not like they are charging £200 quid for replica race suits for the fans is it!1 point

well there is only around 150 tickets left in grandstand so thats a lot of FIM in there:)1 point

The booking fees are always irritating. Ā£15 a day for the car parking is a bit of a p1ss take! Booked thru an app across the road for a fiver. That'll teach 'em š1 point

Maybe he went down the route of many others and spent his lockdown partying and hasn't shrugged it off. Either way, regardless of the excuses he comes out with, he is a waste of time in this sport and a continual let down. Fancy doing this on the eve of the season. Should be a lesson learnt for other clubs to steer clear now. Let him go and get a job in the real world although with his brains I wouldn't bank on it. If you put his brain in a hazlenut shell it would still rattle.1 point

Maybe a bit of empathy wouldn't go amiss. I'll have a moan but we'll be there as one day my daughter might decide she's too 'cool' to come (possibly sat in your season ticket seatsš). However, I'm also aware we're in a fortunate position where we can afford to do it. There are plenty of people who have been supporters for a long time who have been completely priced out. You can surely understand that they are angry?1 point

It is well known Cook has had a long battle with his mental health. In these days we try hard to make it noticed as a serious illness. Yet there is not one thought or consideration about how he is. Only assumptions regarding letting another team down. Itās a horrible place to be, Iāve seen it many times. One week youāre on top of the World and looking forward to the future. It can suddenly change over night to not want to even leave your house. Itās quite obvious heās faced some demons but FFS, letās take a step back, then judge in sickness or health.1 point

Reading the replies its a wonder the sport has survived the 30 years since I last went š Very briefly in the early 90s I helped a guy out at Belle Vue, pretty sure he was the centre green presenter, we used to take a few of the Colts [Clegg brothers etc] to Scout Groups in the evening, some shopping centres at the weekend complete with bikes to try and drum up support, always seemed to go well, no idea if it helped as Mr Perrin didnāt like it and it got binned. Iāll have another go at attending this time at Plymouth but itās still a 140 mile round trip! Midweek is a no no so the fact they moved to Saturdays is brilliant. Not quite worked out how Iām going to explain the lack of British riders or doubling up yet to my 2 newcomers š¤£1 point

If Birmingham are banking on decent crowds they'll need to find some parking from somewhere otherwise people won't bother Perhaps another discussion with the One Stop Centre?1 point

Birmingham are certainly doing their bit to give youngsters a chance and give them track time . They have had British Youth rounds, staged the British u 19 and 21 meetings. The club are forerunners in getting kids out on track on REVVI bikes, have 125cc and 250cc chances and demo rides, now putting three sides in the MDL plus putting out a side in the NDT in 2025 .1 point
