  1. Wrong, it’s hardly the promotions fault that he was then signed to ride for Tarnow in mid April, 6 months after he signed his Comets contract. You can’t blame Fraser either as he is only wanting to better himself. Speedway may be a team sport but you have to look after number 1 imo. When signed by the Comets it was only anticipated that he’d be riding in Poland in the U24 league on Tuesdays for Motor Lublin.

  2. It's amazing all these so called Aces supporters caring for the prospects of an individual rider who doesn't have the club at heart rather than their actual club. When there's no speedway clubs left to follow in this country will they be traveling to all the SGP's and Polish League matches to follow their hero who can do no wrong?

  3. Really it's the promotions fault for signing a rider who will be riding in Poland every home meeting. Poland have priority so if they want their rider he goes there even if he ends up not actually riding. It's not he like signed for a Polish team mid season either he was riding over there before he came to the UK so Workington can't be surprised.

  4. I really don't know what people expect from Niels, he is 42 and arguably riding at a position on the team he shouldn't be. Like everyone else he's a six pointer for a reason. As for team changes, I'd agree we may need to be ruthless at some point, and despite what Mr Grumpy from P'boro has piped up with I think Lambert would be asked if he fitted and wanted to come.

  5. Bonus for Worky. It getting beyond a joke that standard of rider dictating to GB Clubs. He was in Poland last week-end for Tarnow didn’t get a ride in their home meeting and got 0 from 3 in the away meeting just let him stay there he will be out on his ar#e shortly. They wonder why fans are giving the sport a miss.🤔 Guests and missing riders is killing the sport.

  7. The sun certainly ain’t shining in Belle Vue. You spent all your money on x2 grand prixs and half your fans don’t even turn up until September 😂 oh sorry neither does your captain 😂

  10. BK winning a World Championship would get him a few hundred thousand extra in signing on fees, and major sponsorship in Poland... He might even get a nice watch manufacture sponsoring him... Leading the Aces to the title, and being rider of the year, over here, (like he did last year)... Wouldn't get him a free fish supper every week from "Bob and Elsie's Chip Shop" in Gorton..

  11. Bewley and Sayfutdinov the pick of the bunch. Also got other decent riders who opt for Britain over Sweden, Riders like Janowski, Kvech and Musielak for example. Aussie's could chose to live in Poland and opt out of British racing but they don't. Out of the 15 GP riders it's a 6-6 split when it comes to riders who ride in Britain or Sweden with the Dane's and Vaculik opting out of both. Sweden - Zmarzlik, Lindgren, Lambert, Kubera, Lebedevs and Huckenbeck Britain - Bewley, Kurtz, J. Holder, Fricke, Doyle and Kvech

  13. I totally agree ive followed semi professional football for years and have a season ticket for Ashton United, travelling around grounds in the Northern Premier League and other leagues around the country attendences at many grounds are better than the reported numbers given at a lot of speedway tracks. I also think the Championship is a better product, more tracks suited to good racing Scunny, Redcar, Workington, Glasgow for example, more variety not seeing the same team every other week, and as we saw at the British Final you dont need a GP line up to produce good racing. Where Premiership speedway goes from here is anyones guess.

  14. Why not wait and see what happens tomorrow before slagging the fella off like you've done throughout tonight. Tbh, as an Aces fan I'm happy for him to do what he thinks is right for his own body, also for his own personal quest for the World Championship. He owes Belle Vue nothing, having delivered on plenty of occasions when it really mattered and he was physically able to do so. You worry about your own team and leave us to our own, all sorted.

  15. Absolute credit to the track staff track was amazing, I went expecting to come home covered but there was absolutely no dust whatsoever. Great work from all memebers of the team tonight, Hodder looked really quick tonight and Perry was looking competitive as well. Vilads had a bit of an unfortunate night with bike issues but he looked fast and wasn't afraid to attack.

  16. Fast race required so that he could get his injury back into trackside treatment as soon as possible. Should make it through the night and ok for tomorrow’s GP where more fast times could help him through. However, injured wrist maybe agitated during GP and need rest until next weekend - Cue docs medical note!!!

  17. The meeting is not great but the riders turn up one day before a GP and Poland seems to race on days/nights when fans want to attend. In years gone by this use to happen in the UK with weekend meetings well attended but now the sport draws the short straw. Perhaps the UK clubs need to get back to thinking what entertainment they can offer on nights that suit the business model for each one and if that means going back to square one then so be it. Give it one year of reverting to running how it used to be to be and I reckon attendances would improve. If that does not work then, it will simply shorten the inevitable and the fickle followers will see clubs fail.

  19. Think the only excitement we will get from this meeting is if or when Nicki falls out with a team mate

  20. By a mile. The guy must be in severe pain though 😉 I’d choose to prioritise Wroclaw and SGP than BV as well though to be fair. They ain’t picking up any trophy this year.

  21. So that means 5 teams next season then, only one team going to miss out in the playoffs then

  23. There will always be team Speedway in the UK... They might need to make up teams on an adhoc basis... Borrowing riders from each other on any given night to cobble teams together... Hoping fans can collude with the promoters that what they are watching has some resonance, value or kudos... Oh, Hang On, just realised... That is the current operating model.... As you were, its working well.... "Give us yer 20 odd quid, and shut up"....

  24. I see the Isle of Wight are going to run again soon (and maybe Mildenhall as well). Assuming Ashton’s injury problem has or soon will be resolved, would there be value in him getting back to racing at one of those venues where he could rebuild lost confidence in a less pressurised environment?

  27. This is probably the wrong topic, but Sophie has made the front page of the daily press today in her campaign for the Assisted Dying Bill, which has its final reading later in the House of Commons. I wish her and her fellow campaigners every success.

  28. WANTED - A BRAVE PROMOTER: Needed to stand up to this sort of thing and sack or threaten to sack a rider missing a teams fixture in this manner. The downside is that you're going to need a guest to replace the sacked guy!

  29. And yet before tonight who had the highest away average for the Stars? NKI and next? Richard Lawson. And neither of them have had the benefit of a spell at reserve.

  30. Poland is mostly about TV money and a bigger deal has been signed last year. You've got 300k plus tv audiences for Extraliga matches so that's not dying for a while yet. Not to mention multinational sponsors not firms that no one has ever heard of like in the UK.

  31. Every club is woefully attended to what it used to be and it gets worse every season, i started at Belle Vue in 68 so have seen good and bad times(29 years with no title), the GP certainly had an influence in matches leading up to the friday and saturday, what has also caused a fall in attendences nationwide is clubs streaming along with BSN, much cheaper for people to get their speedway fix, myself i prefer live meetings and did every home and away meeting when every league meeting had something depending on it, with the regular season being just a qualifier thanks to the play offs it just doesnt have the same appeal for me, still do home meetings and some away but prefer to visit Championship tracks for some variety. Just think we had 2 leagues of 18 teams now we have 15 teams nationwide. How can the so called Premiership survive? Personally i wouldnt mind BV going Championship but many probably wouldnt support it as Aces have only ever been in the higher leagues duing their history. Lets see what next season brings.

  42. Who are you going to get for these riders? There isn't anyone in Europe who wants to ride in the UK who isn't already there apart from maybe Smektala who is struggling big time in Poland. Why do you think Birmingham have been running RR for liglad and Oxford haven't made any changes?!

  43. Lawson has been poor, away especially! Klindt has been very inconsistent but I actually think Niels is the biggest problem
