Out of Blodorn , Cook , Mulford and Tate the only Sheffield rider any of them have beaten is Etheridge … that is shocking3 points

Fans complain when riders seem to choose to give meetings a miss over here, however.. Promoters, actually plan meetings in knowing that sometimes exactly the same riders will be elsewhere on that night... The message they give therefore, is that it is obviously acceptable to UK Speedway for you to miss meetings and your presence isn't fundamentally important... Which also then, obviously gives the events themselves the same lack of fundamental importance in the opinions of so many... You cannot blame riders for deciding to stay aligned to their biggest paymaster when the UK version of the sport is ran the way it is...3 points

Heat 9 was the perfect opportunity to replace Zischke with Kurtz.2 points

Fair play to BV for sticking with Zischke, Basically threw away any chance of winning a trophy.2 points

He did. What actually happened was: tried his 2nd engine at Glasgow which had been good previously, but after first heat it wasn't good, so swapped to 2nd bike with his usual Workington engine. After his 3rd ride that engine blew up immediately after the race snapping its camchain. Back onto first bike for heat 13 with some big changes and managed to get a win whilst feeling slow. For Workington, now only had one bike so borrowed an engine from Jacob Hook ( as his workshop is in Workington) that was "strong" so that he had 2 bikes (the alternative was a 20 hr round trip to home to collect a spare engine, but only had 19 hrs before the next meeting). Tried Hooky's engine in the first 2 heats but struggled to get out of the starts with it ( heavier flywheels than normal may have been the difference? but jumped back onto the underperforming engine again for the last 2 rides and made some radical changes again and managed to win heat 13 again with a massive cutback off the first turn and a defensive ride. Was out after the meeting on that same underperforming engine trying some other radical changes to see if they helped it to perform better. So a frustrating weekend some high points, some low points and no doubt a big bill to come too. Hope that explains what happened2 points

If i were a Lions fan i think i would be on the side of continuing with r/r as it has worked so well.2 points

I'm not so forgiving, he was well enough to take 6 rides in his first meeting back, it's just the same as the rest, this is the new normal now, when riders came back from injury before, they came back everywhere, not just Poland... I'm idioting sick of it!2 points

It's tricky deciding how long a rider can be a "rising star" for. Although the age limit has dropped since it started. Many people say the RS are too weak & out of their depth etc. Others say Jenkins & Flint have been RS too long & shouldn't be any more. But once you limit the amount of seasons, you make the standard even weaker, which leads to even more RS out of their depth! I personally think they've got it about right, Flint has come on a lot this season & his average will prevent him being an RS next season.1 point

Made hard work of that but an away win is an away win. Hope Nic is ok.1 point

Yes leave the tac sub until heat 11 when the meeting is all but over …. Could even have been done as early as heat 5 and a 5-1 there would have been a 2 point gap and who knows how that would have helped your team might have given them confidence Support your team and back your team but don’t be so blinkered as to realise when your manager messed up1 point

Don't mean to be nasty but Zischke's a joke at this point. Makes more mistakes than Andre Onana.1 point
-
Well I predicted it would be heat 11. 9 or 11 he could have gone in. It was a 50/50 choice lemons only mistake is not replacing Tate and blodorn when he had the chance1 point

I'm not that confident still with us, I think anyone in the top 4 can beat each other on any given night. It does make the racing more interesting than the Ekstraliga at the moment that's for sure! Tonight should be another close match.1 point

How does a 3 match ban work for a ref? My guess would be he was already assigned 3 matches and has had them taken off him but not personally sure if that's how that works?1 point

Let's all take a breath and look at the bigger picture here. After years and years of ridicule and belittling towards British Speedway and it's structure, this week we've seen one of the best two legged fixtures in recent times in the second tier, culminating in a breath taking conclusion last night. Where do you start? First of all, massive credit and thank you to all the riders involved last night. They were a credit to their sport. That was fully committed, no fear speedway from everybody. I'd like to think I speak for everyone in sending our best wishes to Lasse Fredriksen who it sounds like will now miss the rest of the season. I was on commentary on Gladiators TV last night and that Heat 3 crash was perhaps the worst I've seen at Plymouth. To the crowd, what a night for Plymouth sport and British Speedway. They were crammed into the track and what an atmosphere. This goes for both set of supporters and it was a knowledgeable and respectful crowd. Everybody could see and appreciate the efforts the riders were going too for our entertainment. The noise at the end of the meeting with Plymouth getting on top was incredible. Plymouth is very quickly becoming a very difficult place for opposition teams with the atmosphere that's being created. Finally, to Mark Phillips and the whole Plymouth track staff. I take my hat off to them all. Not only was the race surface in great shape last night but their hard work to get the fences fixed not once but twice was astounding. They were rewarded with a fitting finale and I was glad that the stadium announcer got a warm round of applause going for them at the end of the night. Congratulations to the Pirates who take the bonus point and all the best for the rest of the season but haven't they been pushed all the way by a battered and bruised Plymouth?! I do think it's a shame the direction this forum is heading in these days with a lot of the unnecessary jibing that goes on from all angles. Speedway is a sport that is in desperate need of some help and assistance in this country and is facing some bleak times. Everyone, regardless of your personal allegiances or differences should always be supporting those putting on the show and doing what they can to boost the sport. Plymouth as a club is changing before our very eyes. The city is really getting behind the Gladiators and the club are doing all they can to provide a fantastic night out for all the family. It was great to see the fancy dress last night and the kids race being so popular. Heart warming to see the amount of Plymouth Argyle shirts on show, with people taking advantage of the season ticket offer. I've already had one message on Argyle's forum from someone who attended for the first time with his family last night and despite the long night, they loved every moment of it and will be back. We shouldn't be sat on this thread today attacking one another, we should be grateful and proud of the effort and character we saw from 14 riders last night who put on a terrific advert for British Speedway and showed if you do things right in promoting the event, if you have all the necessary safety precautions in place it can be a heck of a spectacle. Thank you Gladiators, Thank you Pirates - What a night!1 point

At what point in his career has Becker ever shown any disloyalty to any of the clubs he has ridden for? I can guarantee, he wants to race, and if fit, he will ride.1 point
