  1. Correct call from the ref, Starke was going down in slow motion. However they normally bottle it and put all 4 back so good to see some strong refereeing for a change.

  2. Abbreviated accounts are not very informative so it is hard to be certain. I suspect note 4 and accounting policy 2.6 of the amended 2023 accounts are the key. Or alternatively it may be mis-accounting for transfer of BSPA funds into BSPL in 2020 (is there a fund where members bonds are held that was not initially included?) But I also note that 2020 was covid year, so could it be mis-treatment of deferred TV rights income? How about covid loans that subsequently were converted into grants without the change being reflected in the accounts? My question is what is that £200k plus in stock? [Retired chartered accountant]

  3. Yes that’s right and very convenient too, Zelensky the dictator (by definition) will be outed when the time is right and his purpose has been served

  9. Looking forward to sitting down and watching the most entertaining FTG edge of the seat 4 second gap between each rider I have ever seen on BSN tonight.

  10. First thing he can suggest is that we get people back into stadiums by ditching the loathsome BSN. Why do we have to have streaming that gives fans a perfect excuse to not bother? Get rid of it. Its rubbish

  11. Polish media are reporting that UK based Mayfield Sport management are poised to be the GP promoters from 2026. Richard Coleman and his wife seem to be the 2 directors, and it was Mayfield Sport that ran the 2023 Cardiff GP presumably on behalf of WBD. They are based in Brackley. Several things are on Companies house including information that this company was only incorporated in August this year, however there is information in the public domain about previous companies and even a winding up petition.

  13. How can they mention Wildcards when depending on the SEC result on Friday they might end up with 4 instead of the expected 3 !!

  15. It would be fair to presume that the purpose of Speedway futures is to create income for UK speedway - although it is not clear exactly which divisions/teams are the targeted beneficiaries. It’s reasonable to expect that the folk who are involved in successfully creating revenues for clubs would be entitled to receive compensation/pay for their efforts aka the CEO & his team. Don’t expect for one moment that Harry R will be joining the team gratis free. As for shareholders, they do not receive a share of the income proportionate to their shareholding. At best they receive a dividend of the profits after all costs are accounted for including the disbursements of raised funds to the clubs/leagues concerned.

  16. TNT production costs significantly higher than BSN maybe as much 10 times as much for play offs with additional cameras being used Not been in Leicestershire today but know when I left at 8pm last night it was very heavy rain with roads flooded

  17. Cairns is just 16. He has a great future in the sport, no doubt about it. There’s no pressure on him or over expectation.

  20. Game on for the 2nd leg. For those at the track booing about Edwards being reinstated to the lineup to heat 10 watch the BSN replay. 100% correct decision by the ref.👍

  24. This years line up was very poor. Lambert (who I am fan of) was very lucky to qualify for next year. His form was terrible. Hope I'm wrong but it'll be almost impossible for Kurtz to repeat that form of the last few months. We hoped Holder Lambert and Bewley could put up a title challenge but they are way off that. Simple fact is that last time BZ didnt win a world championship the 2 guys either side of him on the podium were the only 2 that would have given him trouble for the next few years. And despite the fact Russians can compete in Tennis, The Olympics, cycling and comically other Motorsports, they have been banned from the SGP. Its pathetic and we've been robbed of a decent series

  25. They could have made those quotes from him sound more realistic. "The boy Bartosz is a top, top rider" “You will never get a better chance to win a race than heat 2 at Belle Vue. My missus could have won that one.”

  31. Thats too sensible for the authorities to comprehend. Just like the stupid scoring system. Which has proved on a few occasions farcical and as you have said the above rule is the most logical, but no they decide thats too easy. They have to go on fastest time!! Just like a rider can score 6 pts and still have the chance making the semi. Not to worry if some poor sod has scored 11 or 12 pts. " Oh no, what will do is give the rider who's been crap all night the same chance as a rider who's had a really good meeting to get to the final! Maybe to even it up even a little bit more. After the riders have had their five rides. Regardless of what they have scored. Have another 4 races Just put them all in a hat. The winner from each heat goes to the final. "Now you all cry thats not fair!!," but is it fair a rider scoring 6 pts should have an equal chance of a rider who has scored 12 pts in reaching the final?

  32. A bit like Madsen should have had a wild card this year, unfortunately what should happen and what actually does happen have been 2 very different things these last few years

  33. I would like to think Morris will be back more so as a way of thanking Berwick for getting him back into British speedway. The crack going around last night was that both the danes are happy to come back for 2026.

  34. Spring races were introduced at the beginning of this season... why ? ... to stop Zmarzlik winning the 6th. Also, everyone knew them as part of the new scoring system. Zmarzlik proved to be faster there than Kurtz. You better ask yourself by what kind of "rule" Kurtz got direct place in the final instead of Lebedev who beat him in heat 17

  35. Well here goes the way forward for Speedways Future if anyone their is listening or interested. Yes this has been posted everywhere but will it make a blind bit of difference for the future or will it be the same old.💩 1. Leagues to be run on the Danish system of 5 rider teams with maximum of 1 GP rider per team. 2. Each team to name a squad of 6/7 riders. 3. Teams to run on their preferred night and if rider/riders are unavailable, National League riders to be drafted in. 3a. No guests under any circumstances, redeclarations allowed once per month. 4. North League; Belle Vue, Sheffield, Berwick, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Redcar and Workington. South League: Poole, Ipswich, Kings Lynn, Leicester, Oxford, Plymouth and Scunthorpe. 5. Teams having National League teams to stage meetings after main meeting with same format as Danish system. 6. Teams not having National League teams to stage second half with minimum of 6 heats. 7. North and South winners and second places to meet in semi finals and final. 8. League cup to consist of all teams and drawn in first round with 1 from North and 1 from South. Overall winners of each match through to quarter final with team losing with highest aggregate score to go through also. This is all fantasy, but something needs to be done now. Everyone to look at the big brighter future and get over themselves.

  37. Me too, I wanted zmarzlik to win anyway but after Thursday I thought sod Kurtz, if he can’t be bothered to turn out for his club in such an important meeting the I’m glad he lost

  38. I would choose Doyle also. I know I’m a witches fan so easy to say but he is someone who never fails to give 100%. He crashed out of Warsaw, missed Prague, was injured but still tried to race in x2 Manchester GPs and was still only 16 points off qualification (Lambert 7th).

  41. https://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/news/people/peterborough-city-council-urged-to-rethink-decisions-for-1500-homes-and-leisure-development-of-showground-5217002 AI Generated content. Check important info as it can make mistakes: **What does a “pre-action protocol letter” mean?** The article mentions that solicitors for Forever Panthers have submitted a *pre-action protocol letter* to the council — and that’s actually quite a big deal. It’s the formal legal warning shot before taking a council to court through judicial review. It doesn’t mean the case has started yet, but it puts Peterborough City Council on notice that their decision (likely the approval of the 650-home plan or the way the call-in was handled) may be unlawful. The letter gives the council a short window — usually two weeks — to respond, explain themselves, or fix the problem. If not, the group can then ask the High Court to intervene. It’s about whether the decision-making process was legal and fair, not just whether the outcome was unpopular. In short: the legal wheels are turning now, and the pressure is officially on.
