  1. I’ve been waiting on a Glasgow fan reacting to this post but it might land better from one of us. You have obviously never seen the lad when fit. He was superb the last 2 times we were at Glasgow and he most certainly has a huge future in Speedway

  2. In all honesty, we should be thankful it's Poland who's calling the shots. What did we actually manage in the late 90s/00s when GB was in control? Everything Poland has now should've been GB, with the Sky deal, the top riders, the money, etc., etc. We ended up with green helmet covers, pissing money up the wall on one rider, and zero investment in fundamental parts of the sport.

  3. 26 plus 2 bonus points out of a maximum of 30 from his 10 rides, you have to say Kyle Howarth was the on fire over both legs, without his performance at Armadale it would have been all over after the 1st leg

  4. Well if anyone wanted an example of how Speedway fans are treated with complete contempt you have it at Oxford today!

  6. Comments like 'go and hang yourself' are simply unacceptable whatever the rights and wrongs of the situation!!

  7. Just been catching up on some of the comments particularly by non Glasgow fans, good to know you were concerned about the Tigers. Thought I'd just say well done to young Max Perry.

  8. Got the stadium for the Redcar match only to find out it’s been delayed by nearly an hour. Absolutely no information on any socials, the WhatsApp group or website saying there’s a delay. Everybody grumbling inside the stadium. What a PR shambles. You’d think Oxford would want to look after their loyal supporters after the year they’ve had. Maybe Peter Schroeck runs the socials at Oxford as well.

  9. If you make moronic comments then that makes you a moron. Don’t think any Glasgow fans replied to the Poole fan who made the comment as they probably didn’t want to engage with a moron.

  10. Fantastic result.... Fantastic two meetings... How do they serve up so much fantastic Speedway without those so important, necessary evil, guests? 😁

  11. I reckon you could copy and paste this for virtually every Kubera meeting.

  12. Can't believe they are having a full presentation parade after the length of the delay! Just send the riders out on the bikes with their helmets on to do some practice starts and get on with it! Total farce!

  13. The racing has been phenomenal, don't think there was one ftg race amongst that. Some track

  15. Villads turned up limping with his ankle and shoulder both strapped up and had to take the strapping off his ankle so he could not get his boot on , and after his crash in ht one he hurt his wrist and I could not believe he was going to go out for his second ride but he did. He was struggling to hold on to the bike Villads is a tough kid but he had to pull out of his meeting in Germany next day to be fit for the SON

  16. I came up last night as a neutral and I was not disappointed with what was put on show, good racing, a great crowd and a great atmosphere. The referee had a shocker, it was speedway shambles at its finest in heat 1 at the rerun with Palovaara never mind in heat 7, hats off to Kye for coming out and getting the better of Bomber in the rerun. It was completely predictable heading into heat 13 that Glasgow would walk away the victors, Edinburgh needed to be at least ten up going into the last 3. Max Perry was the match winner though, he stepped up big time with Nagel struggling and deserves all the plaudits.

  17. What were the Edinburgh Riders and Management doing to miss that? With riders, mechanics and management, there must have been at least 20 people who missed something happening in plain sight. How did those pesky Glaswegians hide it from them all?

  18. How did Oxford lose, I thought having the second leg at home was an advantage?

  21. Well done to both sets of riders for providing an entertaining meeting. On to 2026 for more of the same.

  22. That could have been the most important point of Kawczynski's career, but he gave it away on the last bend, fool. He only had to creep around the white line!

  23. While it's never ideal to have such a long delay, surely starting 90 mins late, rather than calling it off at 5pm is the better option? However, they should have announced the delay sooner, not had a parade & done away with the interval.

  24. Well Dudek did his bit, taking Lindgren wide - which Lindgren appeared to not be pleased with after the heat but Lambert not quick enough.

  25. About time thet got rid of those dirt deflectors. All they do is cause riders to fall when there is close racing. absolutely useless.

  26. Jesus Christ, I'd love to see the stats for how many people have been overtaken by BZ and subsequently got back past. Bet there's not many!

  28. 75mins after the start time, Edwards and McDairmid went around without any drama. It finally got announced that the meeting will go ahead. All expecting it to start ASAP, and just been told there is another 30-minute delay. It’s a comedy show.

  29. Much better version of what I said the other day on this. It isn’t just a small handful of 8/9 point riders that would be missing, it’s a hell of a lot more than that. It’s completely unworkable!

  30. modern bikes and tyres, almost require a billiard board to ride on. Really needs looking at in close season

  31. One big league will rule out all the 'big boys' and also a significant number in the level below It won't just be Doyle Kurtz Sayfutdinov Bewley Fricke. It will also be the likes of Becker Pickering Brennan Ellis and even Bloedorn etc None of those will go with a UK slot ahead of Poland - I'd estimate ruling out 20-25 riders So when it's said let's have 12-14 teams 2h 2a so the loss of doubling up is negated that won't happen That 12-14 teams in reality will be 9-10 max with riders available even with those aging British non world riders as the new No1s and the current RS standard riders as heat leader It would also need a sizeable number of NDL/MDL commuting to full time racing meaning the gulf from top to bottom is still as huge as today but at a much much lower standard Charge £20 plus for that and it's a case of last one out please turn off the lights

  35. The Saudi model is to throw money at already thriving sports too. The sport here could thrive again but it will take a long time, a lot of hard work and huge amounts of patience/faith from existing fans. The gulf between the 'world class' and top domestic riders is ever widening. Those top domestic riders are also not going to be with us forever (Nicholls, Harris, King, Lawson etc.). The next generations coming through aren't up to their standard in the main. That's part of why those older names are still the top domestic riders in 2025. Brexit has made it harder to get competitive riders from overseas into the country also. Despite it not being a popular solution, the way to make meetings more entertaining is to cut the head off the snake and go without the big names. Riders of a lower standard are more plentiful (and cheaper). The more level the playing field in terms of rider ability the more competitive and entertaining the racing should be (in theory, massive asterisk against that point). That's a hard sell to most existing Premiership fans of course, especially when they'll be asked to pay just as much, if not more to get into meetings. Stadium rent will still need paying at the end of the day and won't decrease because the standard of riders has. The kicker being the standard of riders outside of the world class ones is already declining year on year and ageing to boot. So as a governing body own it rather than hoping nobody notices. Transparency has to be key. Things being stripped back and rebuilding from sturdier foundations is needed. Tell the fans that is what is happening and why. If you still want a sport to watch in five, ten years then this needs to be done now. People will be more understanding and supportive if kept in the loop.

  37. Clearly from someone who has no clue about Poland 😂 immigration they are better than us in, road networks, policing their streets. I would feel safer living in Poland than in England, unfortunately some chose to leave the EU so now we are locked in the country with 3rd world citizens 😁 instead of locking them out of our country.

  38. Wonder what would have been had Berwick started with with seven riders they finished with? Morris on a steal for next year. And a top 3 as good as any.

  39. I understand some people have very strong opinions on play offs but I think without them our sport would be even less interesting to many people, they provide drama and no doubt a very important stream of income for a lot of teams. I went up to Glasgow last night as a neutral purely and simply on the basis of it being in the balance and with the hope of a dramatic meeting which was delivered in droves going all the way down to a last heat decider. The place was absolutely packed, programmes sold out by the time I arrived, I’m sorry but if you remove the play offs you lose all that. Those that say that more people might attend league meetings if it counts more towards a league title may be discounting the fact that teams on the edge of the play off bubble these days may lose crowds because by August they’d be out of the title race and nothing to play for, with this system most teams have something to race for for most of the season.

  40. Something that needs to be addressed is the extras that riders are now expecting, mechanics, vans, workshops, hotels, airport transfers, flights, tyres, insurances,,houses and bills and any other add ons that riders are expecting today and are getting to varying degrees, it’s not that riders don’t deserve it but we just can’t afford it, it’s out of control really and it has to be curtailed, riders these days seem to be blind to the struggles that British speedway goes through, I understand they try to get what they can but speedway has to stand firm and say no, I do often wonder what other motorcycle sports think about us and the pandering that our riders get

  41. If this is true, right there we have one of the problems with British speedway, riders these days expect, well those days are long gone, the sport isn’t in the position to pander to these demands, some of the things riders expect these days is unattainable and it’s not just top riders, I got told a few weeks back about a current championship rider who wanted a large guarantee to ride in a amatuer meeting, riders deserve the world but unfortunately the cake just isn’t big enough to feed everyone the slice they want

  42. Bowes expected his bikes to be at Poole as they are stored at Workington. He got told this was not possible and threw his toys and confirmed his season is over. For me I want riders who want to ride for Workington regardless. Nobody is bigger than the club. He has been missing more than present this season. Go and chase your dream in Poland and Sweden son. Bye for now

  43. R87 is just a wind-up merchant looking for attention. Everything that he says is complete boll*cks and as someone quite rightly pointed out, he is a liar. The contradictions are laughable. Bizarre that he spends time on a forum about a sport that he continually derides and can’t be more negative about. Such odd behaviour.
