As gutted as I am to see the Lions lose I think that a Witches victory is probably the best for British Speedway, first of all that size crowd doesn't deserve to be sent home unhappy and hopefully many will return. Ippo have been the team to beat for the last 3 seasons, they took the financial gamble in bringing Emil back 3 years ago to partner Doyley and we've all benefited from that, they've worked the rulebook to within an inch of its life this year (and fair play to them for that) and they've got a true local legend captaining the club which is rare to see these days (even though he comes in for a bit of stick from certain quarters) Well done Witches, well deserved and earned... our final was the semi final again (we've got to stop celebrating semi final victories like that!)... it's our turn next year9 points

Congratulations Ipswich, probably the best run club in British speedway6 points

Thats your opinion and your entitled to it. Being a top class speedway rider does not give him a free pass to be untouched from criticism. He is paid to do a professional job and in my opinion he falls far short of that.6 points

Good to see Kemp dropped from that heat. Leicester will most likely lose, but if I was a Leicester supporter, I would rather See Joe Thompson have the ride, than give that complete excuse of a speedway rider more rides. If speedway was not in such a state with shortage of riders. No one would touch Kemp with a barge pole6 points

27 years been waiting for this,, and I'm doing something else,, how times have changed. Really hope the Witches bring it home in style, and with plenty of heats left so the long suffering fans can enjoy the rest of the racing. To all the long time fans I've know at the track and on here, I hope you all have a fantastic night.6 points

Let's just put this to bed once and for all. There were some complications with the birth of Rich's son Rio, which required Rich to be there, but all is now well. Congratulations to all the family. Now the ECCO beckons.......again.6 points

Thatβs a bit unfair, no matter what you think about Tatum he has served his time as a class speedway rider and just for that he deserves the fruits that the sport can offer him5 points
-
..and yet a once-again packed grandstand thoroughly enjoyed the racing and the result. Incidentally heat 15 amongst others proved there can be great racing with no passes at all.5 points

To have this support tonight was so special for the lads, it felt hard work at times and deffo you could feel real pressure and nerves in the crowd and riders at times. To have to open the back stand on bend three because of the amount of people is a credit to the fans, the running and promotion of the club and the riders. I donβt know how good the meeting looked on tv, but it felt special to have so many people here tonight and the joy in the riders faces on the centre green celebrating just made the night amazing. Leicester were worthy finalists and on another night could have won it, but something just felt special about tonight, like it was meant to be our night. I hope speedway won tonight and not just Ipswich. We need to build this sport back to bring these crowds back. 2025 youβve been special! Thanks for all teams who raced us, rivals or not, I hope everyone experiences what I felt tonight πππ» Until next timeβ¦3 points

Standard from howarth, not got the speed and ability to pass riders so just tries to use brute force, guy is a π€‘3 points

100%agree. Both Tatum and Allen think Kemp has bike troubles. He never finishes a race when he's at the back. Commentators complete pair of divs. Haven't got the bottle to say what everyone can see!!3 points

Never want to see him ride another race for Leicester at least JT gives you 4 laps even if they are that back.3 points

I find it unbelievable that Kemp does this in every race when he's a the back. Does he not realise speedway is over four laps? Regardless what he scores in his remaining rides. If Leicester ride next year. he should be the last person on their list. He's an absolute disgrace to the club. Dickinson should pull him out of the meeting.3 points

Ffs get rid of mardy arse Kemp & his continual pulling up π‘3 points

So you agree that your talk about BZ's "high appearance fee" ... is nonsense. You also accuse BZ of not "being seen outside of his country promoting Speedway", Where would you like him to be seen? In Argentina? France? Which other countries, apart from Australia, have speedway tracks. Oh yes, there is also league racing in Britain, but he is already riding in two leagues. One could say there are also individual event. I would say there were. Where is Internationale, Pride of the East, etc., etc. As far as BZ's "inability to communicate with anybody outside of Poland" is concerned ,why all the Extraliga English speaking stars communicate only in English whilst they ride and earn big money on Polish tracks. If you want him to do "interview during GP on the world feed", ask then Abi Stephens to interview him in his native language and then translate (on the spot) into the language you understand. That's how it done in the Polish League.3 points

I've seen some farcical decisions and events in the 50 years I have watched this sport BUT the inclusion of Woffinden in the GP series for next year has to be the biggest FARCE ever. Utter joke of a decision, done purely for publicity reasons and not for the good of the sport or other riders. Disgraceful decision which just makes the sport look even more tinpot than usual!!3 points

Many of the successful World Champions tend to do their work from the gate, Nicki P was electric from the gate during his WC years, Kurtz didn't win it (by a point) this year but most of his work was done from the gate... the exception seems to be BZ who has to do a lot of his work from the back3 points

Very impressed with Ace has had a good 2nd half of the season.has sorted out his style a bit IMO. That was a decent nights racing.3 points

Congratulations Ipswich. Fully deserved over the season. Keep that trophy warm for its return to a cold rainy Manchester in 2026 π2 points

,Credit to Hawkins and Louis, they know they've just won the league but no celebrating straight over to see how Dougy was π2 points

Stewart not turning a blind eye to Kemp's attitude earlier in the meeting, Won't see him at Berwick or Leicester next season imo.2 points

Drew Kemps performance tonight is the equivalent of a footballer scoring a penalty and doing a knee slide in the corner when 5-0 down.2 points

If Leicester get a 5-1 in Ht 15 then Kemp has cost them a chance at winning the title in a Super Heat.2 points

Just saying but each one of those flame machines has a flashing red light on the back of it, that were flashing through the entirety of heat 12 points

I thought the SGP was meant to be the best sporting riders in the world, not ex world champions who generate an opinion. Let's be clear, he was way past their racing best for couple of seasons and it been left to sporting form, Woffinden would not have qualified. An ex world champion he may be but that selection is not justifiable.2 points

Personally, I blame the GP System. I honestly think that Speedway was a much better Sport to watch before the GP's started. I thought from the first time the GP System was brought in to existence, in Speedway that it would be the long, slow death knell of British Speedway. I believe that, desperately sadly, I have been proved right. A number of things have contributed to people's disillusionment with British Speedway. Firstly, the League system we have is challenging, to say the least, with the 'Play Off' system and fitting all the Meetings in before the end of the Season. Secondly, not all tracks have a 'One'Off' Individual Meeting - a source of great pleasure to the Supporters - those who pay to attend, by the way. Pairs Meetings, Four Team Tournaments are now, it seems, no longer fashionable and no longer exist. Thirdly, the Bikes are far and away too fast for the Tracks that the riders are expected to race on, resulting in more injuries. Said Tracks are STILL very similar to those Tracks back in the years Speedway started (1920's). Bikes and Accessories have moved forward with development, the Tracks have not. Finally, I believe that the introduction of the Four Valve Engine was another contributor to Speedway's demise. If only we could go back to 2 Valve engines, 'One Off'World Finals, Second Halves, no 'Play Off' so the Team that actually win the League really do win it. Integrity is important and folks don't like to be cheated of the fair and just result. I know most folk will think that I am talking nonsense to which I can only say - LOOK AT SPEEDWAY NOW AND LOOK AT SPEEDWAY THEN. There is a tremendous difference, and NOT for the better either. No the wonder people are walking away, the Price to go to a Meeting has risen enormously for the Meeting only, with no extras like the old Second Half. All of these things are contributors to the decline of our Sport.2 points
