Just a shame Laguta isn't in the GP's...

The racing in the UK isn't what holds it back... It's the operating model, business plan, and leadership of the sport that renders it almost irrelevant...

That PA system at Wroclaw, and also those around Poland, are certainly not fit for purpose... You can hear every word, and clearly...

It's funny how somebody who doesn't seem to have any malice to anybody and likes a bit of a laugh has their own topic thread denouncing them ... yet some of the more vile posters who seem to be able to post nothing other than abuse and it passes without comment... a sign of the toxic times we live in I suppose 🤷‍♂️

First of all I hope Vinnie isn't too beat up after lifting off the 4th bend and ploughing into the fence ( No tattie puns please 😉). Following a first ride where he struggled with the track he was much more competetive. Shame after superbly getting into a 5-1 behind Cookie and looking comfortable he lifted and couldn't get it down in time. This was always going to be a tough task but we were left rueing points thrown away when in good race positions. Niklas looks a real racer and I look forward to see him develop as he settles in to British racing. Signs are that consistency will be pivotal to our chances of competing at the sharp end. Well done the Bears who all chipped in. The 10 last places undid the Comets but there were some promising signs. UTC

A game of two halfs , to use an analogy…. First half is the reason the sport is dying, track issues due to incompetent track preparation and having to be told how to fix it by the previous track curator who left the role because of the owners ! Took an hour on a freezing evening to sort it without a-decent explanation to the crowd. We were viewing on the back straight, normally great viewing point, but dust was just too much after two races so had to move to the home straight instead. After the tractor racing fiasco the second half of the meeting was much better with the close score and Comets getting in the groove and could have won the meeting if not for Vinnies loop when on a 5-1. Cook back to his best, Jeppesen very good. Bears relied on Klindt and Allen saving the day with the rest inconsistent but did enough to win the meeting but probably not the bonus point. overhall the diehards would have enjoyed it but went home feeling the cold and needing a hot shower whilst any newbies wont be coming back anytime soon. Redcar need better more consistent track preparation. P.S. Parked on the public road this time, much safer for the car.

Good showing from the Comets in the end, on other day we may have won but we will be very competitive on the road this season for sure. Hope Vinnie is okay, plenty of positives there.

Hopefully Lawson is alright, safely through to the next round of our cup. Cooper impressive again, Newman battled. Fraser just needs to be a bit smoother, I don’t know if it’s nerves or just his style but he’s a great gater and often looks fast. Look forward to us facing a Oxford or a Glasgow

Pirates take an impressive lead along to the EWR tomorrow night. Never going to be overturned. Despite the slick track I thought the racing was ok, seen far worse than yet over the years. The stream was ok, it’s the first time so you have to allow for nerves as the lad presenting made a lot of mistakes, some down to lack of knowledge as he mentioned about Shane Parker when he was at Lynn but any long time fan knows Shane was first and foremost a Witch, and they did say they know improvements need to be made, they need better mics imo because the trackside ones couldn’t deal with the level of decibels very well.
