  1. First Pep Guardiola.... Now this... A nation mourns...

  2. Slick on the inside, heavy on the outside... A perfect track for racing... Those who cannot handle the "deep stuff" can ride the slick inside and those who are more brave, can take those risks and ride the faster dirt line up against the fence ... How Speedway should be...

  6. On a day of what could of been the boys are rightly proud of there performance. The general thoughts were the d4aw did for us getting gates 2 and 4 on four occasions when 4 was a grave yard. A point here or there could of tipped the balance but most teams could say that. On to the next one with more experience gained

  13. You kinda expect Kelvin not to know his stuff, but to have no one who can explain it on hand is shocking.

  14. Thanks. Absolutely ridiculous. If only every rider faced each other once or something to make it a bit simpler.

  15. Doesn't seem to have been loads of watering and grading tonight.,.. And the racing has been good.... Who would have thought?

  23. This is why I suggest limiting the revs to 10,000 but don’t do it by means of a rev limiter, make it so as the engine itself will not reach 10,000 revs and chuck more dirt on the track, it will encourage more torque mid range engines and do away with pinned throttle racing which in itself is fine but when it goes wrong is catastrophic

  24. Seems like a good effort from GB. Unlucky to miss out on a medal when the bookies had them finishing last. Cairns received some odd criticism when he was selected for the World Cup side, nice to see him finding strong form since then.

  25. I'll just throw this into the mix, could it be... throttle jockeys? I just watched the 2007 Cardiff GP Final on the Speedway360 show and the throttle control that all the riders showed on a 5h1t show of a track was quite unbelievable to watch. With the prominence of Polish Speedway could it be that the latest generation of riders are being brought up on tracks that require the throttle to be pinned to the stopper rather than days gone by where riders were brought up on British tracks that require a bit of technique and throttle control? πŸ€”

  28. Many see the scoring system as a joke (including me) but the riders know the score and can ride accordingly. Bartosz has it all sussed out the last few seasons.

  40. It's my understanding and from a reliable source that Ingram had committed to Plymouth for CL this season in return for them giving him his chance in NDL last season when Scunthorpe weren't interested. A very late change of mind is Scunthorpes gain. What a team he'd have made Plymouth with as good a 1-6 already as there is. Its a shame too as Danny King and Scott nicholls would be great mentors. Scunthorpe appear to be more a set of individuals with one out and out superstar at the level.

  41. I Think with all the tracks running really slick this years he is struggling to pass which was always his way off winning as he is not the best off gaters

  43. Pedersen has done fine in my opinion, got 7 from 4 rides last night at an away track, he isn't a Nagel but he has done ok. Mario should be better but his problem maybe mechanical and his equipment when riding for his country is obviously a lot better.

  48. Really? They stopped giving wildcards to riders because of their nationality ahead of their ability, looks the strongest field since the Russians were banned to me. Not sure why people are saying it's virtually over after one round, Zmarzlik will always be favourite, but it's not like he's miles in front, he's not even leading the series yet.

  49. Update on former Berwick rider Connor Coles posted on social media today. Lovely news from Kirsty Coles about Connor A little update on Connor Connor has now been transferred from Stoke to Derby and has officially started neurological rehabilitation in a specialist centre. Although there is still a long recovery journey ahead, this week has brought some really positive steps forward. Connor is becoming much more aware and engaged, communicating more, remembering conversations and slowly getting more like himself each day. He is now eating food orally again with thickened drinks, has started rehab exercises including the exercise bike, and is walking short distances with support and a frame. Seeing these small milestones after everything he has been through has meant so much to us all. There are still many challenges ahead with speech, swallowing, fatigue and weakness down his left side, and recovery will take time, but we finally feel like Connor is taking important steps in the right direction. Thank you again to everyone for all the continued love, support, messages and kindness shown to Connor and our family
