Just got home and watched the final, the reason crowd sounds like no atmosphere they only had microphones down home straight. South stand was crazy especially when Kurtz won, poles starting chants throughout etc. But all you can hear are the prawn sandwich brigade in expensive seats.5 points

Not this Aussie after the way our lads went this weekend.5 points

if you want a great weekend in Cardiff you are allowed to go when no speedway is on which is every week end now, so fill your boots..🤣5 points

What a final, brilliant racing once again after those first eight heats. Best track in the world without a shadow of a doubt.5 points

Racing wise its streets ahead of Cardiff and Wembley. As for a GP weekend as a whole, it wont ever compare to Cardiff.4 points

You can’t blame fans from other clubs staying away, Belle Vue is the best track bar none and it seems it can handle a bit of rain, but other tracks have educated fans that even the slightest hint of rain and it will be a no go, it’s hard to overcome that.4 points

Don’t know but Andy Meredith is the master and he will have done what’s best, takes no notice of Phil Morris etc.4 points

A fantastic evening of Speedway... Hair trigger decisions being made in almost every race from front to back.. Cost me £142 for me and my lad, What is that cliché? Worth the admission alone? Many of them were... Let's hope for more of the same tomorrow...4 points

Jan Kvech had a good night,he is a bit inconsistent but I think he is underrated,he is still only24.3 points

Can we agree a time for everyone to go and ask zmarzlik for an autograph3 points

The track reminds me of the year of The world Team Cup over 2 nights 1st night track was too grippy ( think Iversen broke the track record in 1st heat,if not it was very fast and the race was poor all night). The 2nd night they sickened the track right off and the racing was great. To grippy tonight IMO3 points

Zmarzlik wasn’t happy with the NSS staff so I see! - "Everything's fine, thankfully I'm unharmed. I'm not one to judge track conditions; my opinion won't change anything anyway. There simply wasn't enough room for me. I got a good start and immediately accelerated from the line. However, I didn't manage to gain enough speed to overtake Max Fricke, who was heading straight for the fence from the A grid. That's the nature of this track. Whoever reaches the barrier first, goes ahead," said a disgruntled Bartosz Zmarzlik. His irritation wasn't primarily due to his fall in the final. The source of Zmarzlik's nerves was entirely different. The Pole had spent almost the entire day at the Manchester stadium. Just being there for so many hours can be exhausting. The irritation peaked when Zmarzlik was constantly approached by people who shouldn't be doing so. We've learned unofficially that even security asked our champion for photos and autographs when he should have been fully focused on the competition. This is outrageous behavior that doesn't happen at other stadiums. And while it may seem pleasant, speedway is a sport that requires complete concentration both during the competition and immediately before it begins. At such moments, any distractions are inadvisable.3 points

I don’t see the problem with it, there was no cheers when he crashed, maybe some oooh’s and gasps but absolutely no cheers. But he was up and walking back to pits and when was excluded there was lot of cheers. Probably multi reasons, UK fans supporting Kurtz/Holder/Fricke. Some people liking to see something different from BZ dominating, also a lot of noisy Poles in crowd and a reaction to them.3 points
-
Last night he scored 13 points - 7 of them from the back. Some riders don't make that many passes in a season. And Bartek was doing it against the world's best.3 points

Just watched the Woryna crash and to be fair to him, Madsen did lock up slightly in front and drop speed... Obviously I much prefer to watch riders who can just gate, and win races on smooth, slick tracks, and are quite happy to ride around at the back, with zero intention to pass anyone, when they don't make the start in front... They are the real "box office riders"....3 points

love having the locals giving us live weather updates...i for one really appreciate it.3 points

That draw is a Baansport and myself exclusive LOL. I did suggest last year that they could have an extra incentive on Friday’s meeting by the finishing positions determining the draw pick for Saturday. In their wisdom they choose the ballot route.3 points

If you didn’t enjoy that then speedway isn’t for you…..simply brilliant3 points

Just watched heat nine where Kurtz, brilliantly, went from third to first. . The commentators are going mad at the end of the race, and the camera pans to the Grandstand. Rows and rows of seated fans, heads down, pens out, and programme filling in... "Did you get the time of the last one?"..2 points

When the going gets tough and the action gets tight ,Lambert goes missing a lot of the time.IMO2 points

People can't differentiate. It all depends what you want, and everybody wants something different. And everybody ends up whining about something!2 points

Have we agreed a time for the protest outside the Speedway GP headquarters to remove Kelvin Tatum from the commentary box yet?2 points

I see the BSF jealous whingers are at it again. Can’t pass, only one outside line, bollocks.2 points

Are the riders not watching. Only him and madsen using the inside. Gives you a right speed boost especially from bend 42 points

Bewley is a massive miss for atmosphere wise here. Was 10 times better last year. And even then you an not compare the atmosphere to Poland over here. They are biblical. We can only dream of that. To many programme wavers in wulfspurt jackets2 points

It's a six hour drive and then the cost of a hotel. Went to Prague instead for one night and spent less than it would cost to go to Manchester plus had a lovely city to spend time in at cheap prices.2 points

tbf, this is almost exactly how last years double header went, great racing on Friday, an anti-climax on Saturday.2 points

Stood on the 3rd bend for the 1st time normally stood just coming off bend 2, and wow some of the moves/cut backs going into their, just wow especially at the speed they were going then how much speed does bartoz have 🤔 unreal. Hoping for the same tonight, currently having a beer in city centre but unlike Cardiff haven't seen any speedway fans2 points

There was a nut job stood near me who thought all of his Christmases had arrived at once when BZ tried the impossible and came off... he went absolutely mental effing and jeffing for a good few minutes and seemed to be quite enjoying his own rage 😂2 points

I like Woryna and he brings something new to the series, always tries his best, sometimes he just pushes it too far, he is like the next level of Doyley 😂 On a serious note, and not to bring this up just for the sake of it, but that crash wasn’t too dissimilar to when he went into the back of young Krystian Rampałan and he died back in 2016. I hope he isn’t risking too much again for entertainment as we all want to see people fit and healthy at the end of the night! - Although I want to also add for Woryna that it was found that the young gentleman didn’t have his helmet correctly strapped and this was ultimately the cause of his death. I guess you can see many of these crashes throughout a season and nothing serious happens but it was just unfortunate!2 points

Exactly , the likes of Pedersen would never give him the room he gets with the current crop and life would be much more difficult for him. Take nothing away from him though, hes a great talent and should make the most of him.2 points

I think they should hold the meeting up until the rain passes, then come out and kick the track around hidden under big umbrellas, send a tractor round to completely bugger the track up and then call it and draw lots to decide the winner or something...2 points

The rain is starting.. Should have called it off on Tuesday....2 points

I was surprised another club took a chance on him, i hope he overcomes whatever problems he has but his past history suggested this would happen.2 points
