Apart from prices, isn't that what the sport is supposed to do? Develop riders.....7 points

Fair play too Emma Louise she asked the right questions and doesnβt get flustered.Great Job.5 points

Think the ref got every decision spot on, well done π Brilliant performance by Australia. GB did better than I expected4 points

I hope that whatever, derogatorily, he just said to Wright, that Charles responded with "F**k Off Doyle..!"..4 points

The title looked like Pooles as soon as they signed Cooper and Cairns. At least Berwick spoiled their treble.4 points

Must be AI - Never any passing at Poole and the track has holes all over it4 points

Having had this post brought to my attention I shall respond. Firstly thank you for spelling my name right ! Secondly I will definitely NOT be getting involved in any speedway position at the club, Iβm happy just being a spectator, thank you. Thirdly, speedway doesn't need βoldβ promoters coming back, it needs NEW, FRESH IDEAS to try and get the sport back to the level it used to be at and an independent leadership to sort it out. Thanks, Kevin.3 points

13,000 at Wroclaw would have delivered a great atmosphere and racing... But many, many thousands more in Warsaw delivers much, much more money...3 points

This is like GB having choice of track for the Final and choosing Iwade over Belle Vue π3 points

Barker said before the meeting it was usual Poole track, slick so won't be any passing.3 points

I'm watching it right now and it's absolutely perfect. Not sure why you couldn't get it to work. As for the second one not being English, do you ever watch the Polish league racing? It's not English either. Remember these are free links...2 points

I know that in the great scheme of things it doesn't matter in the least, but being a pedant, I do like to get things right. It was JoeW436 who said, "Would love to see the Poles get beat in their own house" (see above) as I had no particular desire to see that.2 points

Jack Holder for Doyle/Fricke and it wouldn't even be a contest. Closer at a proper track, maybe, but they'd still win. Then again, Bewley for Flint and we'd be a lot closer too.2 points

With the success of the Team Formula.you wonder what plonker thought up the Pairs Comp.(just to stop Poland winning no doubt)2 points

He left a hole wider than the three lanes of the M25. What a plonker he made himself look in front of 50,000 people!!2 points

I'm surprised, given the current situation with speedway, that the Cup is not decided with a final heat for the top four teams. Winner wins the cup.2 points

In the company that team GB are riding it is unfair to criticise the riders. Yes they could have pulled a few different moves to gain points but they are riding the machines not us punters. I am not disappointed with the performance and Robert has shown that we can produce top quality riders. Special mention to Leon Flint who has put his heart and soul into the meeting. Overall a good contest and the guys have not let team GB down. Perhaps Scott should be the next manager of team GB.2 points

While Woryna got off Charles didnβt exactly try to stay in his tussle with Doyle.2 points

The only thing Doyle needs to speak to the ref about is praising him for making the right decision.2 points

Ideally be at a neutral venue but probably not gonna get much of a crowd + you then have a weather risk. Not too sure what the answer is.2 points
-
Never understood this..... Surely four riders, with four heats each, (1-16), should just follow each gate getting used per team, every four heats...? Each programmed rider getting each gate..?2 points

Bone dry, hasn't been a single drop today and nothing in the last 24 hours either, thought when I looked at the forecast yesterday that the postponement was a bit premature. Workington Reds football at home today, Town v Haven tomorrow, Speedway World Cup later this afternoon (with Charles Wright absent from the Redcar side), if I were cynical I'd say it had been called off due to expected low attendance rather then the weather........2 points

If all the heats finished in that order, after 16 heats scores would be: Australia 37 Brady Kurtz 12 Max Fricke 10 Rohan Tungate 9 Ryan Douglas 6 Denmark 27 Leon Madsen 10 Mikkel Michelsen 7 Frederik Jakobsen 7 Michael J Jensen 3 Poland 17 Bartosz Zmarzlik 9 Maciej Janowski 3 Dominik Kubera 3 Patryk Dudek 2 Great Britain 16 Robert Lambert 11 Charles Wright 5 Adam Ellis 0 Leon Flint 0 * counting 4 fastest riders per team2 points

The Poles always do feel as if they are shoehorned into a team concept.. Riding for themselves does appear to interest them more...1 point

I would've given him a shot once they had fallen behind, nothing to lose at that point.1 point

When's the next World Cup (not speedway of nations) Whenever it is surely our team will be by then Lambert Bewley Cairns Rushen Ellis (GB set up seem to love him despite been rubbishe every time so he'll get in still).1 point

What a useless TM the Great Britain team have ...... Tim Brennan at reserve not used once despite Ellis and Flint not troubling the scorers. Sad state of affairs when the reserve isn't tried at all when there are 2 riders struggling. Result pretty much as expected from Great Britain. Lack World Class riders outside of Lambo and Bewlay. Journeyman PL riders really don't cut the mustard at this level. The temporary track clearly not suiting the Polish riders, who aside from Smartslick really don't look all that special. oh yes... well done australia π1 point

Have to agree. Even when the final was at Poole, it knocked spots off this. If it don't improve, it will go down as the most lacklustre world cup final in many of year1 point

Absolutely, plymouth were one of the first teams to complete there league matches due to running against England World Cup fixtures, changing race night to a Tuesday on occasion to be rewarded with a Cup final in October when you can more or less guarantee issues with the weather. Madness1 point

Crazy decision to hold the cup final that late, Plymouth do not have a single home meeting in September then race 2nd week of October when weather likely to be against them, everyone knows they are on marshland and the water table will be higher. Those that made this call could not run a bath.1 point

Thanks @Bagpuss ! British speedway obviously on a delay. Umm, why would i be on Berwick website? I assumed an update section would be, well, up to date!! ππππ1 point

Another Managerial masterclass from Cami you could make up a carry on style compilation of his baffling decisions over the years. You would need to set aside a spare 3 or 4 hours to watch it right enough. Well done Redcar young Scott is making some great strides nice too see.1 point

The shock of the meeting was the announcement from Jamie Swales that he is stepping down as Promoter at the end of the season. Also an excellent 2 minute silence for the 2 Police officers tragically killed last week. Well done Redcar Speedway1 point

Always left me non plussed that, as the number of teams reduced by around one per year, then subsequently, the number of riders wanting to ride over here dropped significantly, those in charge never dropped the number of riders per team... This would have created plenty of "subs on the bench"... The Danish five rider set up would have been ideal for the UK...1 point
