  1. Nice bit of fishing there! Do we know what guests Newcastle are using yet?
  2. How did the americans do last time? I thought they would find it trickier than Masters!
  3. Looks like everyone is super excited by this meeting!! Don't suppose it's on tv tonight?
  4. Still very strange, the way Batch carries on you'd think there is a massive gap between the two leagues. However looking at the BV averages that Rob B put up for the meeting thread Richie is only just above Jye's averages and Stevie's is only 5.58, considering his form for Poole and leagues quite close thought it would be a bit higher, IDK though, maybe i'm expecting too much again!
  5. Ummm, you can actually pay by card on the gate but just have to queue outside the glass stand rather than under the main grandstand as everytime i get near the front of the queue i get asked if paying by cash or card!! Card queue is always a lot longer than the cash one though!
  6. Steve Worrall has been at BV for a fair while too.
  7. Exactly! If you can't make money or at least break even for a play off meeting then you really are screwed.
  8. This meeting should be close. Don't think I can even call it! But if I had to I'd go for 47-43 to Pboro.
  9. If the track was wet through then yes it was the right decision.
  10. That is all very well but they will be relying on Autumn weather rather than summer!!!
  11. Who is likely to be no1? I'm guessing Steve has the highest average. Shame to split up the partnership with Stef. Unless you put him at no2? But then Basso or one of the current reserves (if their average is high enough to go into the top 5) will be at 4 and that will be tough for them.
  12. If the forecast is torrential rain then yes call it off. But if it is a bit hit and miss then they should wait at least til it is raining significantly before calling it off in an ideal world. However I don't own a speedway club so it isn't my money or decision. However Leicester are going to have a few fixtures to fit in during Autumn. Let's hope for an indian summer!
  13. I think it also happened when Poole were at Oxford when they had Hancock and Fisher in the team (but it may have been at Poole tbh) and practice laps were done. I remember Greg doing the lap for Oxford but not sure who did it for Poole. I'm pretty sure it went ahead but can't remember 100%. I think a rider from each team did 4 laps each. Also good for telling the track staff if any more work needs to be done on the track or if enough has been done.
  14. Kerr could be in trouble then??! If it is true that he didn't want to ride, only going on the twitter exchange with Harris.
  15. Oh, I don't remember him. What year would that have been? I was thinking more Sam Ermolenko, Greg and Billy, Janniro, Fisher, Wells etc. Even though 3 of them never rode for Poole they all seemed to score well. Edit - aarggh and Luke Becker of course! 16 points at reserve when he came with Wolves in 2019. How could I forget that!
  16. I'm sure he'll be aiming to get 2 league titles as a farewell present!!
  17. When they mention thunderstorms it never seems to rain. Well that's what it's like down here anyway! Thursday forecast was rain (dry all day) Friday forecast cloudy but dry (raining on and off all day.) Today big band of rain over the South (one light shower). Personally I would never listen to a weather forecast 100%. But then I don't own a speedway club!
  18. Not sure they'd go for that! How much would be lost through admission, programme and food/bar sales??!
  19. Bit unfair, everyone has an off night Starman, Rory has been scoring well all season.
  20. Ummm, no! I'm glad they don't do this. Poole can stay top a little bit longer.
  21. You know Poole ride at home too right? I only just have time to do those ones. You think I have time to go to Redcar?! But even if I had only been to one home meeting all year, that is still one more than you have ever done
  22. If only, I've been plenty this year. Being in the Champ does that or you miss seeing certain opposition teams. Bit different to the Prem when we used to see a team up to 4 times at home (Swindon).
