  1. That's a bit negative, think you better shaddup your face, although if BWD doesn't improve its goodnight Vienna to any hope of a No1 slot.
  2. He still looks like a top grass tracker on a speedway track which is what he is really.
  3. I'm sure that's why Premiership and Championship should have 25/30% lower level/ less costs, especially if Poland realised that the conveyor belt of non Polish riders will eventually stop if they kill off all the other leagues.
  4. More teams like Oxford, Glasgow and Poole need to move to a slightly diluted cheaper Premiership , and the Championship then needs to be somewhere between what it is now and the NL with sdl/mdl second halves. Still be a problem with rider numbers though I imagine and a few club/promoters self interest, but it'll only get worse next season as you say. I'd happily see Eastbourne at the lower level, had some great racing in the NL when it was a decent level. Ideally have 10 teams in each league if a few could come up from the NL or any more to come back like Oxford. Hopefully make slightly more even teams in both leagues, all a dream I know, but one way or another something needs to be done.
  5. And Edwards and Abblit, oh well 5 years of proper NL development wasted for us, just gauling others get the reward of the hard work the Dugards and others put in, not BV or Glasgow's fault I know but still grates.
  6. Hope no ones playing the fiddle when in Rome ? ( one for the historians....)
  7. If they were stopped from signing someone because of Poland, and no other immediate options who would blame them. Don't think a certain neighbour up the coast and countless other teams would have given it a second thought not to do the same.
  8. Tom's a really tough lad and remarkable how he came back from injuries especially his broken leg when he had to be put in an induced coma for a week. But hey let's hope the discussion whos best between him and Jordon keeps going and going to the top.
  9. Unfortunately looks like the Premiership junior league is just lip service as before and unlikely to happen again this season.
  10. Sad to say I think you Peterborough fans have to treat every season from now on as it could be the last one and enjoy it whilst you can ( no different to most clubs really). Will Buster lose interest more quickly and pull out of the showground at the first opportunity?....
  11. Scientists have been trying to find the missing link for decades.....
  12. Is the rocking up at the gate something to do with age and dodgy knees and hips?
  13. The number 8 is really just a pr stunt along with the Premiership junior league to make people think they're doing something to promote the up and coming riders instead of putting more effort into a proper NL, but hey....
  14. Sad about Les Fineing, seem to have been a lot of supporters/sponsors lost to us and other clubs over the last year.
  15. I'm sure some positive pr before 2023 will help, but don't think they'll be a lot of bad feeling anyway. Perhaps we could burn an effergy of a certain someone on the centre green during press and practice to expel the ghost? Too radical maybe .
  16. I think Poole as usual will be there at the end, personally can't believe Glasgow won't finish above Plymouth and Oxford, but that's the joy of our sport, different veiws.
  17. ....And Shoeless Joe, although he'll be in trouble around the bends....
  18. Perhaps the track should be named " the field of dreams" ?
  19. That looks a perfect size length/width etc. What's amazing is if someone wound it on and rode most of the race near the boards ( unlikely I know) distance wise could be nearly an extra lap against someone riding the white line! Bet some of the brave on the boards riders like Chris Harris will love coming here, especially if it's a bit grippy .
  20. I suppose most fans are concerned rather than being negative, and the 1000 attendance statement didn't do any favours, but as you say wait until the last signings and see then.
  21. That would be a great signing, but assume whatever he's done work wise since 'retirement' if successful would anyone really want to swop that in the current climate?
  22. Only trouble is did they really make the grade when they previously came over, not really, and probably worse now if still riding, and you would have to pay the current rate for a rider who's substandard championship level. It just again shows the damage the powers that be did by finishing off a competitive NL of a few seasons ago for self interest, I'm sure the conveyor belt of the Brennen's, Palin etc would have continued to a greater extent than it has since. I know it won't answer all the problems with rider shortage, but I bet Birmingham, Eastbourne, Kent and others would have stayed in a competitive NL, less teams in the championship so more riders to go round and continuing to bring through the young talent. Too much of a threat to the upper leagues though.
