  1. Combined with a definite 42 point limit held for at least 3 years, as you say crazy concept and probably too radical for the powers that be to implement.
  2. Probably still quite a number of teams that pay on time, and would seem to be wanted by the fans. It was just an outsiders view that seemed to look like most fans didn't want him, if I'm wrong apologies, but just seemed to be a glut of negative posts about him.
  3. Would think the chance of Adam Ellis coming back to Scunthorpe is nil I would have thought judging by the posts on here, why would you want to ride for a club with so many negative posts against you, justified or not.
  4. I suppose with a home track advantage type team you keep the home fans happy seeing a winning team, especially back in the day with the bonus point , although a slightly different situation now, even so win all your home matches especially with an 8 + margin and playoffs virtually guaranteed , mind you I think MPT would be wanted at any track and team at the moment.
  5. If it is, I hope for Plymouths sake he makes a far better go of it than last season at Eastie, he was dreadful even before the debacle with not paying riders, did improve slightly when back in the middle order near the end, but was way behind Lawson, Kerr and Brennan and tbh Newman.
  6. Unless it's been binned, would the cut off between being able to use it and not be the age of it, or usage.? It would have done another 8 meetings or so this season if we'd have completed, so could it not cope with a few next season instead ?
  7. With the success this season and I assume with the playoffs crowds added in, pretty good crowds, a no brainer really, only downer would be if they hammer the points limit again I suppose.
  8. I think its success envy mostly, if Poole stay in the championship again next year and do the double again that may well creep in again maybe? When my team Eastbourne we're in the Elite league with Poole, we never hated each other (well I didn't ) but it was so good to beat them at Arlington which we did more often than not even in your title winning seasons, different story at Poole obviously, but long for the day's of Nicki Pedersen winding up the crowd and being wound up by the Poole fans.Shame we didn't see what would have happened in meetings this season, but the last heat decider early on was pretty good.
  9. Surprised really, maybe logistically doesn't fit other plans perhaps of Tom's or some of the others? Sorry perhaps shouldn't start this discussion on the Plymouth bit.
  10. Infact at this point (and hate saying it as saw him progress all those years at Eastbourne) another year at BV and Glasgow would be great for him at this point in his career. As usual points limit will probably dictate more than anything
  11. I would never derogatise the Scottish people, all I've met have been nice and good fun, but I don't think Nicola Sturgeon has done Scotland any favours really as Johnson hasn't done 'us' any.
  12. If it is dreadful, ***k up the NL and then force a club in 2 leagues out, brilliant!
  13. I know I've just done it, but suppose we shouldn't pick the bones until we know for sure, still don't want to lose another club, especially a local derby.
  14. If the Kent situation is confirmed as true, which seems likely, does make you wonder if some tie up with Len and the Dugards may have been put in the pipeline. Expect MD will know, although probably wouldn't comment one way or another I expect!
  15. Bit shocked really, didn't see this coming if it is true.
  16. If he doesn't retire would make Eddie Kennett unemployable really on that average, think they'll be a shortage of middle/lower order riders so Kyle Newman hopefully will find a team if he wants to continue.
  17. Bloody hell, it's going to be a long winter I think!! !!!
  18. That's what I mean really, problems with the previous promotion, refunds etc on here, hopefully the future of speedway at Arlington in 2023 on the the other thread.
  19. Hopefully will still be at BV next season.
  20. Perhaps all these post on the future of Eastbourne speedway should go on the Eastbourne speedway section opened by MD, this ones for the past really.
  21. Sure he does, we've had a go at an all British team for the last stint in the championship, let's get the finances together and apart from the rising star ( probably gone by 2023) go for all Aussies, and Scandinavians etc, maybe attract bigger crowd?
  22. Thought that would be the case, think he's only had involvement in those leagues, it was Connor and Martin Dugard who were behind the success in the NL.
  23. To be honest he didn't help the cause much at home, he was pretty poor and looked like he should retire really, certainly wasn't a No1, and was far off the best at 3 or 4 when he dropped down.
  24. At least Trevor Geer has been with the club in one form or another for so long so knows the former ethos along with the Dugards. Just hope the year out doesn't loose a lot of the current fan base, I think unlikely and hopefully will fire everyone up again. Also gives a bit of extra time to see which way the leagues go again,( good NL again etc)one would think though with Trevor at the helm they will be trying for at least championship level again.
