  1. I think there are only 3 returning for 2025. Nothing concrete to back that up just whispers I’ve heard from different people, the general consensus is that us supporters will like the team & it’s going to be one capable of challenging for honours. I guess we’ll find out soon & I’ll probably look silly!! Maybe Monday

  3. No he was woeful at Foxhall over the last 2 years with Oxford
  4. That makes sense & I suspect that we’ll have Brennan,King & Jenkins back alongside Edwards from last year. However I did hear a whisper that only 3 from last year were back. So could 1 of Brennan , Jenkins or King be off to Northampton ?? Or really left field King is back but as Team Manager. Interesting times
  5. I’m looking forward to th team announcement. Have a feeling it will be good news.
  6. At this late stage Speedway has nothing to lose. They come in do well give the sport a future. They fail & go bust in a couple of years we’ll the way the sport sits today it can’t much more that 2 or 3 years left in it’s current pro semi pro guise anyway.
  7. Personally I would have thought having someone who hasn’t any speedway experience is a real bonus. We always moan about the same cartel with the same old ideas running things into the ground. Then when we get some one new to speedway coming along some moan about lack of experience. In terms of the prize pot if that’s been reduced to a level that makes the go series viable then that’s something that is always demanded on here.
  8. Christina did well as the Leicester number 8 in 2024 😂
  9. It’s got to be a positive with Mayfield getting involved. As the GP rights holder they know for that to work league speedway has to be more than just Poland. Hopefully in a year or two British speedway will be in a far better position
  10. I agree they were both on a downward spiral. However Doyle has had 2 bad injuries in recent seasons & Emil for some reason really struggled with his engines last year. The biggest loss is their presence in the pits & interaction with the supporters. Lambert may well out score them but he doesn’t come across as a team player in the same way as those other 2. Woffy I think will struggle to get to a 8 pt average.
  11. The joys of being old self employed & semi retired. I had a long lunch on Monday with a client on who has been going to Foxhall since the 70s, Anyway from what they had to say the deal is done between Louis & the buyer but there is a minor 3rd party hold up. Which should be resolved in the next couple of days & that the team is signed up. We’ll see
  12. I’m going for an announcement on Friday or no later than Monday.
  13. I think we shall hear something later this week or possibly early next week. 😉
  14. I’ve just re read the last update statement. All it said was that the sale was agreed subject to contract. No further update until it had going though but expected in the coming weeks. No hint of a two week deadline so not sure where that came from. Just out of interest when do Pavitt Louis & Western compete the take over the last time we were sold in 89? I have a feeling that was quite late on.
  15. The world champion was seen in Ipswich this afternoon. I expect an announcement next week.
  16. While also not driving your existing customers away.
  17. Hi is that Emil? If you ride for Ipswich in 2026 we’ll guarantee you a go spot in 2027 are you in?
  18. Brennan King Rew Edwards Jenkins and a couple of newbies. Or the owners have deep pockets & Emil is coming back.
  19. Could start the season in June and run the complete league programme before the end of August. Doesn’t matter if Ipswich open late only 8 home league fixtures & a couple of ko cup if you’re lucky
  20. Trying to get something for his business while is might have a little bit of resale value. If he doesn’t run in 2026 he won’t be exposing himself to the risk of losing huge sums of money running the club.
  21. Clearly as we all know something went badly wrong & Louis decided he could no longer run a profitable business within whatever the BSPL were wanting to do. We know that because both he & Richie had been talking about putting together a team to retain the title. Then came the bombshell that he was selling Doyle came out on twitter & said that the had their backs. No one can really blame Louis for getting out if the future direction meant it wasn’t viable for him. No one on here would have done anything differently. Louis ran a very professional outfit not something that happens very often in speedway. Just look at the shambles of the championship cup draw. Yes if the sale doesn’t happen & Louis doesn't have a change of heart I’ll lose my local track. However I still back his decision looking at the bigger picture the direction of the sport I am happy to take the memories. I’ve followed Ipswich since the 80s, however if it’s the end I have the memories of the great sides & the last 3 years have been a blast. I wonder how many of the people who are saying Louis should carry on regardless would be willing to risk their own financial security to keep a business going in an environment that is only heading one way.
  22. Of you have seen the British Speedway Facebook page this morning with the championship cup draw you’ll know the sport has sunk to new levels of embarrassing
  23. I not sure about Woffy to be honest that’s my main concern with that side. Lots of question marks around fitness etc plus doesn’t seem to have the manner of Doyle & Emil. Unfortunately those two are irreplaceable on many levels. Regardless of who is in the side Foxhall is going to have a very different feel.
