British Grand Prix 2012
foreverblue replied to willstaxi's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
We wre sitting lower tier 3rd bend and there was a scuffle with some fans,no idea what it was about but a couple of them got thrown out,the poles seem to leave when Gollob got knocked out. -

Probably the best gp i have been to was at Bradford, great race track, stadium etc after that it was at Coventry, although good, racing was ok,atmosphere was good and stadium is ok but i think we have moved on now and i don't think any stadium is capable of re creating the atmosphere and overall experience of Cardiff, there have been many great races at Cardiff and it has to stay there for the good of the sport,if it went elsewhere the attendance would be nowhere near what it is now. -
British Grand Prix, 25/06/11

As far as i am concerned it was fantastic, great event, maybe the racing has been better in previous years but atmosphere amazing.i thought fanzone was good too and the band was actually pretty good as well. Hancock deserved to win although i had money on Holder and Pedersen and my son had money on Emil. I thought it was classic first bend bunching and Emil was unlucky. -

I am really happy about this, seeing Zorro race again is terrific as far as i am concerned, prefer it if he was in Poole colours but hopefully that may happen again sometime, you never know do you. -
Cardiff Gp Betting Odds
foreverblue replied to TheSmiler's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
If you want a dead cert for the final,it has to be Crump but odds reflect that at 5-1,best value would have to be Lindgren at 25-1,he also normally goes well at Cardiff. -
Can't argue with that, very well put.

Bridger wouldn't even make the squad if i was manager, ask Peterborough how he goes on a decent big track.I would go with Danny King myself, rides Lynn well and seems to be coming into form.
-
Personally don't think Barker is up to it,i would like to see Stead in the team if fit,if not Danny King would be better than Barker at Kings Lynn, outscored him last night at Peterborough.

Personally not that worried about the entertainment but my biggest complaint would be the cost of the programme. -

I don't think the pre meeting entertainment makes any difference to the crowd levels,so personally i just accept whatever it is and like many others stay in the pub if its not my cup of tea. -
I hope Scotty doesn't,he was terrific at Kings Lynn last year.

According to the speedway star,Richardson is deserting team GB.

Swc Final, Vojens, 31/07/2010

I agree and have backed my hunch at 9-1 with corals, the poles arn't going to like the slick track or the rain thats forecast and the Swedes are good gaters and they are a better side than Denmark even if they lost the race off. -
Swc Race Off

Can't see the aussies making the final myself, mistake to leave Ward in,i would have gone for Shields myself and with Jonnson back the swedes could push the danes all the way. -
Track prep is vital at any meeting as it was at Lynn and last nights meeting was terrific, its the best ive seen at Lynn foor many years. I went to the elite pairs there one year and the racing was awful and have heard comments many times how its such a home riders track and the scores there seem to back this up but when Lynn were in the top league you saw great racing all the time,so it must be down to track prep.

Dont know what the premier boys do it in or what the track record is but i think Ward holds it and he's not premier any more. -

I think skeletor was watching another meeting, fantasic meeting, great racing and superb stadium and all for 15 quid if you booked in advance what a bargain.
