  1. Hope they arrange it before the cut off!! Wouldn't want any rain affected meetings that finish after heat 9 and can't be re-run. What happens when Swindon arrive and it's wet and are losing.
  2. Despite what you have said on another thread it does appear by your comments that you do hate Swindon or at least dislike them. Just to add good luck to the Robins and Darcy tonight.
  3. This battle for 4th could go down to the wire which is good for the play off system and good for speedway in general in my opinion. Assuming Belle Vue win all their home meetings and get a point at Wolves that 16 points unless they win at Wolves but can't see them getting all four so i would say max would be 18, can't see them getting anything at Poole so if Poole win monday at Belle Vue then a likely max would be 15. Swindon got 4 points at Wolves recently, so a repeat in on the cards plus 3 home meetings that's 13 and could easily pick up 2 or 3 losing bonus points so if Poole win monday the favourite for 4th would be Swindon, if Belle Vue manage to win monday then that would mean another win on the road or a couple more bonus points, either way it is certainly making the end of season more interesting.
  4. Looking at the teams that have been announced can't see any way the Robins will get anything from this meeting, i think Missing Nick Morris is a major blow for them, Lakeside certainly got the better gust in Swidders but with Darcy getting probably 16 with a tac ride they have a chance of a point.
  5. Disagree i still think the Robins will do it. Poole are at Belle Vue monday and i think we may be able to do Swindon a favour.
  6. I hope not too i like him a real trier who has scored well lately and who could we get that's any better on his average and in my view that would be a big risk, losing North from the team is less of a risk as he clearly isn't riding well and a top PL rider like Brady Kurtz could do a better job.
  7. As i have said previously nothing wrong with Kacper he tries so hard in every race and got a decent return last night. I believe last weeks score against Wolves flattered North and why he was in heat 15 i have no idea except we didn't need the points. In my view you should always have the strongest riders on the night in heat 15 regardless of the scoreline. Garrity and Sargeant are the strongest reserve pair in my opinion but Newman and Starke are a close second. North proved last night he is nowhere near his early season form and his average is in freefall, no idea why but it cannot continue, we need all our riders riding well in the play offs.
  8. i have always maintained that local advertising is very beneficial, our local has the Pirates mentioned every day and regular news even in the winter, added to the close proximity the track is to town which also helps as most tracks these days are nowhere near the town they are mean't to represent. Surprising how much fight Lakeside had considering their position, we did used to have a system that included the top six or we could, like i believe Poland do which is first v bottom etc. The reason Lakeside slashed prices is to tempt people who would otherwise watch on tv, when it is on tv all clubs should reduce prices. Last night's Poole meeting was very well attended which was most likely the Darcy effect and it wasn't on tv.
  9. I agree the margin of victory was surprising, with Zengota doing so well at wolves i was expecting a good score from him, Swindon are a decent team in my view and they will come back to make the play offs. Good to see Darcy racing again. Tonight showed Norths max against wolves was a fluke and if we win the play offs it will be in spite of him, should have dropped him by now.
  10. I hear Belle Vue are getting better attendances this season, most likely due to the improved performance of the team and of course being in contention for the play offs definately helps otherwise they wouldn't bother would they.
  11. Doubt if many will attend this one, not anything to do with it being important for Belle Vue to win so they will be in the play offs but more to do with the lack of opposition who most likely will roll over very easily. I certainly can't see many Lakeside fans turning up expecting to get easily beaten who have no chance of making the play offs anyway.
  12. Maybe it is for those who never make the play offs!!
  13. I dont think kings lynn are the weakest it is more even than previous years, the beauty of the play offs is we still dont know who will be the final four and its not certain who they would pick, all the teams have their weaknessess and a tricky decision awaits.
  14. Terrible choice of guest, cant believe theres no one better available
  15. Haha very funny lol. Already blown my socks off laughing!!
  16. Now your just repeating what you said in a earlier post. I expect Coventry enjoyed 2010 too but it is much better winning at home in my opinion. The play offs are here to stay, it is a way of keeping the interest to the end of the season and as a fan they are usually cracking meetings in front of packed crowds.
