On the whole Jacob is doing a decent job. He was never going to replace Fred’s scoring or should he have been expected too. We know the management choose the cheaper option at number one. He seems to have gone slightly backwards in Poland and Sweden too so clearly other issues going on too. The bottom end has been the problem most noticeably Howarth and Heeps. Howarth thru injury, Heeps thru below par form. unless we can get Howarth back fit and scoring like we know he can in the next week or 2 then changes must be considered if there are suitable riders available. Not sure if Harris and Robson fit but they would be worth considering, more for getting Robbo in reserve who has had some terrific meetings at the Green.

Don’t get me wrong. Having Howarth in the team is my first choice as he seems the glue that binds the top 3 as without him they have been nowhere near as effective. But we simply cannot carry RR anymore. Heeps has been nothing short of a disaster.

I believe Doc has already moved abroad.

Not at all unless Howarth is ready for our next meeting.

I’d love all Top flight teams to have more Brits riding for them. And fair enough if Auty has done well for the Stars. He seems one of those Brits that gets overlooked regularly at top flight level however he rarely proves his worth. On his form he might be worth a shot tho by someone

And has a proven record of being pretty average in the top flight.

As previously stated, just to remind you, I stated there aren’t enough riders of suitable quality to fill all team places if both leagues stay the same or merge. I don’t need anyone to agree or disagree with that.

Disagree. I watch NL every week and there are some that would be able to deal with the increase in standard. Why don’t you add in the Development league riders then on paper there would be plenty more. merely stating numbers only gives a very closed opinion. It could only work if you strip back the level and kick out the top standard boys. No doubt some will be happy with that. Many wouldn’t.

Should be a home win but Poole are more than capable of getting a losing point.

Keep kidding yourself if you think there enough QUALITY riders to fill all team places.

Trying to labour this point for several seasons now. there just aren’t enough riders of suitable quality to fill all team places unless the race format is decreased. The plan to dispense with the mimimum amount of British riders in reserve is also yet another short sighted approach to something that was working yet dispense with it because it didn’t suit all teams. Put British riders and youngsters FIRST before you make any further plans going forward.

What we do know is that it would have happened if it was allowed so there must have been a plan of action.

Is KK coming home? Every other club would breathe a sigh of relief if he does.

We have to remember also the promoters have also been taking big hits financially to keep the sport afloat as well. However I agree that an independent body and a rebirth of the sport here is required.

Seems like Chris has spoken to every club. He should have a choice who he signs for. It will be interesting to see who signs him as the ‘favoured club’.

Interesting comments from Chris Harris on Facebook this morning saying there is no room for him at Wolves or likely to be. He also states he was “stopped by the BSPA from signing for Somerset”.
