Sgb Premiership 2018 Confirmed Signings
stevebrum replied to Mattfordfan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It was a 2 fold issue this season with the ridiculous multiplyer, particularly for those given an average over the maximum points you can score and then not using it for returners later in the season. Next season seems a clear plan of reassessing those on low averages (for GP riders or GP standard) and for those who didn't ride in the UK in 2017. It seems quite a clear plan to me! However the BSPA never do things clearly so it could mean anything!! For me the ruling seems clear that it affects anyone who didn't ride here in 2017. For once it seems a sensible ruling! -
Sgb Premiership 2018 Confirmed Signings

He has a 2017 average so unlikely I'd say. -
Likewise, been watching our boys in Oz too! Some of the quality has been near awful but on the whole okish with a good signal. Love periscope for all the cycle speedway stuff tho, including all the major British events over here too.

Reassessed Averages

Can, and will be. If not then something very fishy going on. -
Sgb Premiership 2018 Confirmed Signings
stevebrum replied to Mattfordfan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Woryna is likely to be reassessed in line with the BSPA regrading for riders missing 2017. 4.65 is not a definite average yet so needs removing. -
The quality is likely to be dodgy at best.

Reassessed Averages
stevebrum replied to dontforgetthefueltapsbruv's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I beg your pardon?? its nothing to do with who he rides for. Please grow up. Woryna is the ONLY example as he is the only rider signed for 2018 that didn't ride here in 2017. you are aware that riders who didn't ride here in 2017 will be given a new average for 2018?? are you actually saying because it's Poole he SHOULDN'T be reassessed??? I mean, are you really??? I couldn't care less who signs/signed him. The BSPA have already said returning riders are getting new averages. Maybe you haven't read up on information before you post nonesense. it's in fitting with what PP was given for Leicester and I expect KP will be given a 7 too. Don't see a reason to be any lower. Can see Woryna on a 7 too which would be a fair assessment. WRONG. I care only for transparency with the rules and regulations. You can say I wouldn't be saying it if he signed for Wolves, but you would be lying. I haven't got my own thread thanks. A forum is for a anyone to post wherever they want. Next thing you will be telling me not to post on a Poole thread whilst you infest every other thread yourself. As we know you are such a hypocrite. Just so you don't look any more ridiculous this is NOT a Poole thread. -
indeed, a point I didn't favour in. Silly me. It's not been confirmed who voted what or who, it's just a guess that may be right. I'm certainly not blaming Poole at all, I only reported what was said at the Wolves talk in. I've not mentioned Poole in the negative in the slightest. Please do not add the usual blaming Poole in a comment that I make. Again, I reiterate - do NOT quote my posts or replies indicating I'm blaming anyone.

My pleasure. Only too happy to report what was actually said.

Reassessed Averages
stevebrum replied to dontforgetthefueltapsbruv's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'm assuming all riders that didn't ride here in 2017 will be reassessed if coming back which seems fair and transparent. Woryna so far the only rider likely to need a 'new' assessment other than 9. -
So you would suggest 4/4 split vote with the benefit given to the 4 weakest? can't see that IMHO.
-
I would have said it was more than 780!
-
It's pretty obvious it was a majority vote and it's clear that Swindon and Wolves were in the minority. One would assume the aces the 3rd. It may be obvious to suggest that Poole and this year's bottom 4 promoters voted in favour of.
-
CVS only reported the 9 point rule, he didn't say who voted for it because he wasn't there.
-
Correct, which part didn't I get right??? You said he would also be at Wolves, which is exactly what I said in the post you quoted. Which was wrong.
-
it's not like anyone is surprised anymore. For fairness I'd assume so.
-
as already stated. Pawlicki can't now as he is on a 9. CVS already confirmed 2 team plans, one with Fred at 1 and one with Jacob at 1. Pawlicki can't now he is on a 9. He is, CVS confirmed that he is expected to be a 9.
-
Someone still seems a little blinded. Of course it affects Wolves equally. Aces have 2 over 8, Wolves have 2 over 8. Zagar could be tempted back to the NSS , likewise Pawlicki both under 8. So, how does that NOT affect Wolves??? CVS said last night that he has spoken to Pawlicki who may be interested in a return. There isn't a link other than what I posted from the talk in last night. As for apologising you forgot to mention that now you know CVS wasn't at the AGM and had nothing to do with the rules you got your accusations wrong?? (BTW Adams who WAS at the AGM had a fall over the weekend so wasn't at the talk in so presumably CVS had to fill in with news).
-
You said Manzares would also be at Wolves which has been confirmed as wrong.
-
The minutes of the AGM have yet to be finalised and the averages for all riders still have to be agreed. The 9 point GP rider rule that was mentioned by CVS last night appears to be what was agreed.
-
Don't get me wrong. I completely agree. It seems that the 1 over 8 rule has been made to benefit the weakest and in the process dumb down to their level. Such a shame when some clubs are able to bring quality to the league.
-
Exactly. Seems fair to me.
-
Fair point! However surely "GP standard as fits those riders who rode in the current season and next season qualification already assured (excludes those who rode as a wildcard, reserves Numbers 17 and 18 and having ridden 2 or less rounds)" is about as transparent as you can get ???
-
One rule is never gonna fit all, however it's better than having individual assessments that might benefit one club more than another. I don't see why they can't use their established averages abroad and combine them to give a realistic figure for here. If they can achieve those figures abroad they should easily be able to do the same here.
-
I think the assessment used of 7 last season is fair. Don't see a need to change that. Probably be what Woryna will be on too.
