  1. And Morris is still a better top flight rider than Kurtz. End of.
  2. And that's why the AGM statement should be crystal clear. It would make it so much easier.
  3. Can't say I've followed the Swedish team announcements so far so im surprised that he hasn't. Of course if he isn't then he can ride in UK on a 9. Someone must have big pockets.
  4. Sacked by Coventry (twice), Poole, Lakeside, Birmingham. The ultimate let down.
  5. Nothing has been confirmed tho yet has it. They haven't even released the averages for team building for 2018 yet! CVS confirmed they hadn't been fully agreed yet and that was this week! The rule will probably change to say you can bring who you want in once the averages change. There can be no such as keeping the limit to just 1 over 8 all season because if 2 or more riders increase and go above 8 during the season they aren't going to be expected to move on. Common sense will hopefully allow teams to change as they want after the first set of averages so you can be sure there will be teams cheating to get the limit down. BSPA another mess up awaiting.
  6. Absolutely, it was more than within the rules for 2016. I didn't see the tweet regards Zagar but I fail to see how he can race here in 2018 when it's the same reason he couldn't ride here in 2017 - the Polish ruling. If he has signed in Poland and Sweden then he can't sign here with his home league still counting. Unless he knows something we all don't that the Poles aren't going to enforce the dictatorship rule again in 2018. Fingers crossed for that. I doubt certain BSPA members voted just to stop the Aces signing Zagar on 7 something. The reason then would be the same to stop Wolves signing Piotr I guess then.
  7. I remember a time in the not so distant past that the AGM press release gave loads of information, made the rules quite clear and easy to understand and by doing so treating the fans with reverence and respect. Now its as minimal as you can get with more questions than answers! Do we know when the averages for team building will be available?
  8. Interesting times ahead then! So regrade GP riders who want to come back and now can't and let everyone else keep their averages? ?? Barmy. What part of 'riders who didn't race here in 2017 will be reassessed' to 'only if they GP riders so you can't bring a ringer in'? So let other clubs bring ringers in because they aren't GP riders????? It's typical BSPA mucking up what should be a simple are transparent rule. I can't wait to read how they word it when they finally release the info into the public domain. Sooner they release the averages for riders for 2018 the better. To avoid more confusion.
  9. deluded. It's the same reason he didn't ride here in 2017. The Polish ruling. No chance of 2 others tho?? Great news that Sam is back. Never doubted it. http://www.wolverhamptonwolves.co/_mobile/news.php?extend.2876
  10. Depends on the classification of GP riders. 2017/2018?? There aren't 7. Fricke, Masters, Tungate, Kurtz have all ridden in a GP in 2017. They aren't GP riders tho. The BSPA have messed the deal up by making up the 1 over 8 rule and no chance of those who might be interested in coming back.
  11. It's a shame we miss out on Piotr on his real average but at least the BSPA have finally done the very thing many have been asking for and give this standard of rider a real average. I say shame because he would have been a great addition to our side for 2018 and to the league. It also makes it harder for the league to attract these 7 GP riders that BT apparently want as part of their deal. Not that Zagar was ever coming back, because of the Polish ruling and Janowski was never going to come either.
  12. CVS and Adams always mention Ford and Poole!! However if wasn't mentioned that Ford instigated the 9 point rule. Those words I wish for very single season so yes obviously I want transparency in the rules every single season that are set out clearly at the start of the year and no sudden we will change or amend this rule because we hadn't thought it. I can only assume you are referring to Woffy coming back on his real average?? It was all within the rules wasn't it??? If they had regraded Woffy and all GP standard riders as a 9 at the start of 2016 I'd have applauded it. For me it's always about what's best for our sport and league, not what's best for my club. Fairness and clarity would make things so much better for the fans and BSPA IMHO.
  13. Zagar unlikely because of the Polish rule and 9 point reassessment. Janowski is a no go now that Brady has signed.
  14. CVS has already said he will have a place if other teams are having a similar 2+ rider as 7 as well, otherwise he won't as he will be cannon fodder.
  15. Absolutely no question of a doubt for me. We need BT of any TV company that wants to take the sport on. As previously proved plenty were watching the various previous coverage that some had filmed on periscope of speedway which shows people will watch a sport they love on any platform they can. It's only when SKY and then the club's clamped down on the recordings that halted the coverage on periscope. What we need is a major player, and BT seem to want us. Can't believe there isnt one promoter that can't see the bigger picture - other than the one that cares only about lining their own pockets.
  16. it's fair, of course it's fair. Everyone knows Woffy is way better than 7.03. Ditto all the 7+ GP standard riders. Ditto riders like Woryna who have improved massively since he was last here. All those riders earned their averages only riding against other heat leaders so of course they are falsely low. I'm delighted we are doing more to give riders realistic averages so no one can be accused of 'being a ringer' as accused clubs like Poole and Wolves have faced in recent seasons. More than fair to me even tho it means Wolves will miss out on Piotr coming back. Fairness for all is all I care about. I've already answered this when questioned by Hydred. The comment was made by CVS at the talk in. There is no mention of it anywhere else to my knowledge.
  17. In fairness no other new averages have been released yet. CVS did say that all the averages were waiting to be confirmed and released still.
  18. But if the BSPA are reassessing ALL riders who didn't ride here in 2017 then it's unlikely he will stay at 4.65. That's the only point I was trying to make. And that isn't an anti Poole stance in the slightest.
  19. No more than Poole. Try asking Kyle Newman if it's safe to ride. Blinkered response again.
  20. Can't you read??? Just in case you have trouble read the line I've quoted for you above. I'll await your apology for getting your facts wrong. The only bitter one here is you in thinking Woryna doesn't count as a rider not being regrading. If you have a sensible logic I'd love to hear it. until then I await your apology if you want to continue a reasonable discussion.
  21. Voted the best prepared track 3 times out of the past 5 years you mean?? small technical track with excellent preparation. And then there's awful tracks like Poole. Anyway it's a wasted argument. Poole fans often say their track is brilliant as most home supporters would think. However if you can't see the bigger picture then it's a wasted discussion.
  22. CVS confirmed the 2 Brit rule has been abolished (and added it was the wrong decision, particularly in the 2nd tier) and that GP riders or those who missed 2017 like Tai, Pawlicki(s), Zagar would return as a 9. No clarification for those not GP standard like Woryna and the new Pole at Leicester on their averages but they were waiting for final clarification on averages. So things yet might still, change, only in British Speedway. Agree completely. It's unfair to alter Holder without altering Fred and Jason. Holder had a poor season in the UK and GP series. His average reflects that. No way should we make an exception to give one rider a new average because it would appear too low.
  23. It's laughable because the style of the post is the same for the multiple aliases. I doubt even the poster themselves knows how many aliases they have created. At a guess it's easily in double figures. You have to question the bizarre nature of this behaviour tho. Still, each to their own.
  24. Well, I have a bike but it would take a good sponsorship deal to get me to ride that motocross track every week. Paperboys have to have someone to look up to I guess.
