  1. Very strange is what I'd describe some BV fans! Thankfully they are mostly in the minority tho.
  2. The bore of the 'horror' track continues. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz If only anyone believed it.
  3. Sorry tellboy mentioned rain offs. I agree the precedent set by a Dorset club opens this all up to question now. The difference before was that the BSPA agreed to that cancellation (bizarrely) but didn't this time. At least no travelling fans were inconvenienced in the precedent cancellation. Still a difference to me. However we know the fans aren't important! So what's the answer? Cancel any meeting when more than one rider is missing? We would hardly have half a dozen fixtures ridden if we did that! What happened with injuries was unfortunate.
  4. So long as the senior meeting gets run that's all that matters. It certainly won't be Wolves if Belle Vue riders can't make it in time.
  5. both would have created a farce by calling it off, particularly as one club held no fault. The only fair thing would have been to declare the 2nd meeting 0-75 to wolves and offer refund if the referee is able to but surely that's down to BSPA officials and not the referee. No way should the visiting team have to be penalised (by missing vital league points due to the cut off date). either way it's all a complete farce. No one team or fans can do anything about a rain off, so there is indeed difference between the 2.
  6. agreed. Fans and riders were in the stadium and had spent extra money for both matches. Huge difference to calling the match off in advance .
  7. But that was before a meeting took place, cancelled by the promotion citing 'damaging business' and not under the control of an official. Wednesday night was much different reasons and as the ref has no power to cancel the meeting with riders and paying customers in the building meaning circumstances were not the same. However I agree that the Poole cancellation set the precedent on cancelling meetings in advance.
  8. you can't cancel a meeting just because one team can't field a team. What a dangerous precedent to set and a ridiculous suggestion in the first place, It's still the top level league we have so accurately called.
  9. There isn't such a rule. By agreeing to any match it's expected that both teams field competitive line ups. The onus is on that club for not being able to honour that commitment. No rules were broken and the referee was not at fault for ensuring the meeting goes ahead. Kings Lynn totally at fault for not having stand by options.
  10. Sacked on 2 different occasions by Coventry as well. It's clear he has poor attitude over in our top flight league. Any team that signs him is taking a risk year after year. It just depends what KK decides to turn up at any one time. One thing we can finally put to bed is that he always ups his game for Poole. He doesn't.
  11. with sensible posters there is a chance I might. You're never right lol
  12. I don't agree. You don't win the U19 title by beating 'highly rated Poles if you aren't talented. Highly impressive young rider, so all good news for GB.
  13. thanks for an insightful view of the track from the riders who actually rode it. Has to make you laugh when you get certain posters calling tracks a 'horror' just because a rider falls off. Some clearly no nothing and make themselves look foolish when they weren't even there! Birmingham have and do so number 8's haven't been consigned by all clubs.
  14. No issue. It's nice to see such an ex fan so vocal this evening.
  15. It's not. No MPT, no number 8 cover in the first match. Lambert and THJ struggling for fitness and neither appear in 2nd match. How much more of a gift can we receive??
  16. 8 big points heading the way of our play off position. We can only beat what we are presented with but the Stars have gifted us the points tonight.
  17. Seems like they are altered to suit any league to suit. Will try and find out which match it was.
  18. I've got to say what a dull and depressing BT meeting in front of a huge crowd. Great promotion, awful platform on track. Really? ? I've seen meetings in the NL where they have swapped riders!
  19. Perfectly fine. Medically he is unable to fly due to his surgery.
  20. No worries. Both Poles are excellent talents for the future. Likewise Robert. Results prove those points.
  21. Congratulations to Craig, never expected a 4th place finish so all being well will be in the GP 2018. At least Woffy can show him how to be a proper British winner.
