  1. One or 2? More than that. Great night of racing with the odd few processional heats. The crowd was better than I expected and the groans when the actual line up was announced just goes to show that plenty hadn't read any updates! Whilst the result was never in doubt the racing belied the differences in strengths and certainly they were not just showing up and going thru the motions (well not unless your name is Matej Kus). Not sure if any lakeside fans made the trip but at least Mikkel and Stevie made plenty of effort. WOLVES FRED - good to have fast Freddie back although he had to play 2nd best to Bech twice. 3.5/5 JACOB - earned a Heat 15 call up and made some stunning passes. Shame he missed out on his maximum but this was a superb performance from our young Swede. 4.5/5 MOTM LASSE - decent enough effort but only really beat Kus, Ostergaard and Jacobsen. 2.5/5 RICKY - lost out once to Bech but otherwise a good night's work. 4.5/5 PK - made a couple of stunning passes but was in a class of his own. 5/5 MATT - probably the worst draft guest we could get for one of the best HOWEVER he gave it 110% and beat both Hammers reserves with great effort. More than happy to admit I was wrong to think he would get at least 3 duck eggs. 4/5 JOSH - rode well for his points when on paper we had the weakest reserves. 3.5/5. HAMMERS RR - scored 8 points and would have expected more. JACOBSEN - got better with each ride. Definetly impressed on his first showing. Expected him to get a Heat 15 pick. 2.5/5 Bech - did his club proud with some excellent battling skills and speed. 3.5/5 Ostergaard - beat Williamson so no idea why he was picked for the last heat. 1/5 Kus - dire. But in fairness didn't have an easy heat. 0/5 Ellis - 1 ride apart was beyond dire. Should have been in double figures at reserve. 0.5/5 Boxall - won both reserve heats , job done. 2.5/5 Back in the top 4, onwards and upwards.
  2. Are there are riders still standing and fit for this match? No wonder official site hasn't updated. Fool the folk that they are going to see a GP star in action eh?!
  3. Should be another away win for the leagues outstanding team.
  4. Many said he wouldn't turn up and it's proven correct. About as predictable as Magic racing at Belle Vue. Some of these so called stars are extracting the urine out of the EL.
  5. Yea we know. Not sure you can describe Freddie as a PL rider tho.
  6. Thankfully an excellent GP on a proper track delivers good racing. Gotta say I'm usually dreading the Czech GP's but this was an excellent race track. Well do he to Woofy on his excellent win, plus great to see him signing the National anthem with pride. No doubt plenty will still say he is still an Aussie. PMSFL . Just doesn't troop well for Poole. The poor lamb.
  7. It's what's expected, as Poole gave form for it. On a less sarcastic tone I think Darcy will be somewhere other than Poole this year.
  8. Let's hope so, let's hope he doesn't become next in the line of Poles that use the EL.
  9. Good to hear Masters has got an EL place. He is on fire in the PL so could be an inspired signing.
  10. Poole should be scoring 50+, tho whether the line up is a legit one us a different matter ;-)
  11. Bank holidays should be prime targets for good crowds, with riders missing and no suitable or adequate replacements it's yet another own goal for the sport. Can't see why AJ would be missing? Can Fred make a comeback for this? Do the rules allow it under the 7 day rule?
  12. Should be a great match up between 2 excellent teams. Still can see the Bees taking all points and preventing the Stars taking anything away. 49-41
  13. Must admit I thought it was odd when I saw Rosco's comments that AM might be back next week. The rules say he can't. Assuming they know the rules at Swindon. We don't want another team abusing the rules. Coventry should be able to take points from this meeting tho.
  14. The expected result against the leagues worst team . Nice for the Robins to have a sniff of the top 4. It won't be often they can say that this season
  15. Time will tell. Some braggers have still got to win there meetings in hands yet. nothing certain yet.
  16. Didn't you mean add top 4 side Wolverhampton?! ;-)
  17. Against the poorest side in the league it should be a stroll.
  18. That comment likewise is rather irrelevant. Time will tell.
  19. Time will tell. You make your luck along the way and that in turn gives belief. Considering we were mass written off pre season we have had our moments so far. Injuries can wreck anyone's season so until both Fred and Tobby are back we have to pick what we can. Play offs are a mile away for everyone, although Cov seem to be doing all the hard work early on. Like you rightly say, picking up points on the road including away wins will see us in the mix. Time will tell if we manage to pick up more points on our travels.
