  1. No dispute on that. His real time home average is 5.07 so definetly a point to gain with a guest or RR. But anyone can see RR makes us stronger home or away.
  2. It was the track he had his season ending crash in 2014, so might have a lot to do with it.
  3. The crash was 50/50 IMHO.Bates didn't really veer much off his line and Konopka did try leaning on him. Both were trying to get their elbows in to take control of their racing lines. I can see why the ref made the call he did but it could have gone either way. Bates is by no means the only guilty party.
  4. First chance I've had to watch this SKY match. Great too see Glasgow packed out and what a great jo is being done there. Decent track and racing too. Why were the SKY graphics saying that the reserve spots were EL draft ones? The PL has already made it clear it wants to do its own thing. 2 of the riders (Bates and Sarjeant ) qualify but already have an established PL average so are invalid. The other 2 don't even qualify for the FTD. Always good to see PL action on SKY for a change and Glasgow cone out with plenty of credit.
  5. First chance I've had to watch the Heathens this season. Mildenhall were poor although Kingston looks to be a great prospect if he could gate. First chance to see Perks on the track but he was pretty dire. Certainly an off night. What a long and tedious night tho. The issue with lights took 40 minutes to decide how to proceed when it was obvious all along what the common sense answer was (which naturally occurred, but why rake so long to decide). Either the riders were incompetent or the track was a major issue with fallers galore making a rather tortuous night of rather tepid racing.
  6. Surprised the Stars didn't win by more, sounds like with RR instead of a guest we could have got something out of this match. Plenty of positives for the team to take away.
  7. Allowing the away team to take 4 points away from a meeting is a thumping.
  8. Yes we are, no one including many Wolves fans thought we stood a chance even at home. Even Poole and Bees have had a thumping loss at home and the Bees in particular are THE team to beat as many expected. We have exceeded most people's expectations so far despite some still thinking we are the weakest team still - which so far is wide off the mark. Obviously picking up more points on the road will be the ultimate test to us staying in contention for a top 4 place but there are at least half the current teams that would swap our decent start to the season. Still top 4 and only Swindon below us have raced the same meetings (Leicester have raced less but aren't in contention at present). That's better than anyone gives us credit for. Plenty at Monmore, thanks.
  9. You would think so, although Wolves are the surprise packets of the league so far this year.
  10. Easy Stars win with a guest not know for form at Saddlebow.
  11. Late rescue from the Aces but great effort throughout from the Robins. Might have to change my mind if they can keep picking up away points!
  12. Punching well above our weight indeed. Just goes to show how rubbish 5-8 are then! ;-) Plenty of Wolves fans thought the same however those that are engaging their brains can acknowledge our good start for what it us. And we are only firing at about 60-70%. At least you can see that we are defying the supposed know alls who only seem to go on paper not on actual on track results. anyway let's get it back on topic and good luck to both teams tonight. With us not riding a chance to catch us up - temporarily; -)
  13. Who ? Swindon at home to Wolves? Winning at home isn't showing play off form winning away and picking up points on the road is tho. Maybe if that starts happening then just maybe.
  14. Seems relevant then, Wolves still in the top 4 while the bottom 3 still look fodder so far. Plenty of meetings to change things around for everyone however!
  15. Amazingly....It was Steve0 that started the 'Wolves are rubbish' nonsense yet somehow I'm the baddie for not rating Swindon. Wake up or grow up the pair of you.By the way I don't get bullied by anyone so best put me on ignore if you don't want to read my opinions. However try not to be a hypocrite! Just when I thought the forum was becoming a better and more respectful place. Tut tut. Amazing isn't it - the team that are meant to be rubbish (according the same few that are still going on pre season predictions) have been in the top 4 All season so far. Yea, REALLY bad!
  16. Let's hope so. Lakeside have had a decent record in recent seasons and clearly belong in the EL. As for the EL not running without Lakeside - why not if that were to happen? Some seem to think that the EL can't go below 8 teams, yet both the biggest leagues (Poland & Sweden) have only 7 teams in their hugely successful top teams and leagues.
  17. Should be an aces win unless the Robins start showing any play off form.
  18. So you are saying all riders that ride in the EL should put the EL ahead of their own countries championships? Yea right! The expected result for the Bees - just to think Wolves were linked to signing Bjarne pre season, thankfully that never happened!
  19. The standard was raised tho to make it a little fairer than it was last season, plus under this system someone is likely to get the pick wrong. I totally agree with the point you made about the likes of Blackbird, Garrity and Newman needing to be in the main 1-5. They showed last season they are ready. The hammers totally got the first pick wrong. It hasn't been a settled position or a good scoring one. On paper pre pick there looked little between all of the riders so I think that everyone had a fair chance. Ellis I have been impressed with from what I have seen but as 2nd FTR he shouldn't be relied upon to be scoring big points. It's the number 6 position that has let the Hammers down.
  20. Oh dear, things just getting worse for the Hammers. Good to see two of the Wolves boys helping out our play off rivals for away points! Excellent night for the Pirates and PK and Lewis. Commiserations Hammers fans but it's looking like a decent team on paper isn't working on track and missing AJ is a huge loss.
  21. 1, 3 & 5 are all heat leader positions so are all as equally as tough. He rides at 3 for Swindon so is already scoring well in that position.
