If we win we will have done an amazing job. We are a team of second strings with no number one. It's not making excuses as no one would give us a chance to beat a team of 3 heat leaders and an on fire Lambert.If we get anything from this I'd imagine it will change the minds of all the doubters who said we were dead certs for the basement this year. I don't expect us to win so I'm not getting any excuses in by the way. Rain is our only hope.

World class inconsistent number one that is still 2nd on current averages this year (speedway star the source) which just goes to show how poor the rest of the supposed top riders are doing in comparison to Iversen this year.To be fair I don't think I am doing our boys a disservice. Ricky, Jacob aren't meant to be expected to beat a GP star. PK on form should be expected to give him a run and even King is having a decent enough season to possibly push him in the odd heat but king is nearly 2 points down on average to Niels. He may well be having a inconsistent year by his own extremely high standards but 2nd in the current averages tells a different service, if anything you are doing him a disservice! A team that is built top heavy versus a team built with a powerful number one who isn't riding due to injury means that the top heavy team should have a field day. That isn't doing my team disservice IMHO.

In fairness Janowski is the only heat leader this season so far who has actually improved. No guest improves Poole. However fit to ride in the GP and Poland but not EL?? SHAME ON YOU.

Why would he?? Do you really want me to answer that? ? Besides an in form and classy PK we are a bunch of second strings. Niels is a World class EL number one that should have no competition on Monday night. Granted like all numbers ones this season he hasn't attained his usual high level of consistency but an off night for him is going to let you down big time. I'd be delighted if he did (purely on the basis that Wolves might surprisingly win!)

It's hardly a sweeping statement tho! With no recognised number one if you can't win this match you would struggle with most others! The Stars definetly haven't fired yet the way they did last season and let's face it besides the Bees no other team really has yet! Iversen should go thru the card, Roo knows his way around Monmore and Lambert should be in double figures too - he was perhaps the most exciting rider at Monmore last season.Eve iv Kenny can come up with 5 or 6 you've hold still win. Hopefully the spirit of the Wolf will get strong and if we do get something out of this or actually win then there is a good chance we have what it takes to go the distance, injuries permitting. On paper this match has huge away win all over it.

Looks like all avenues were explored, but this looks like our proud record at home is over with such a severely depleted team any points would be a miracle. If the Stars don't take all 4 points on offer then they won't stand much of a chance in the play offs. Shame after such a promising start that injuries are likely to derail our top 4 place.

Gotta love the optimism of the management still looking for a guest, in other words 'we have gone for the cheapest because there really isn't any else that can do it of any real no 1 standard. Howarth or PL rider it is then, PMSFL.

That's our hone record gone , none of the numbers one besides Janowski are worth the risk. Injuries ruining other teams this season looks like it's our turn to be affected.

Musielak is averaging 5.07 not 4. At present we have to take maximum advantage of his assessed average while we can. Whilst Garrity would likely score 4 or 5 points we can use someone with a higher scoring potential as a guest. Completely agree. In the EL yes.

OK let's put it another way if Garrity was named in a starting line up as a heat leader in the EL I don't think there is one person who would be happy with it. At Wolves or anywhere.

He rides like a heat leader at reserve that much is very true. But IN a tougher heat leader race jacket I doubt he would be anywhere near as potent. Nor should he be expected to be. This isn't a Diss at Jason, far from it. I rate the kid and with the right guidance could move up the Speedway ladder rapidly.

No dispute on that. His real time home average is 5.07 so definetly a point to gain with a guest or RR. But anyone can see RR makes us stronger home or away.

It was the track he had his season ending crash in 2014, so might have a lot to do with it.

The crash was 50/50 IMHO.Bates didn't really veer much off his line and Konopka did try leaning on him. Both were trying to get their elbows in to take control of their racing lines. I can see why the ref made the call he did but it could have gone either way. Bates is by no means the only guilty party.

First chance I've had to watch this SKY match. Great too see Glasgow packed out and what a great jo is being done there. Decent track and racing too. Why were the SKY graphics saying that the reserve spots were EL draft ones? The PL has already made it clear it wants to do its own thing. 2 of the riders (Bates and Sarjeant ) qualify but already have an established PL average so are invalid. The other 2 don't even qualify for the FTD. Always good to see PL action on SKY for a change and Glasgow cone out with plenty of credit.

First chance I've had to watch the Heathens this season. Mildenhall were poor although Kingston looks to be a great prospect if he could gate. First chance to see Perks on the track but he was pretty dire. Certainly an off night. What a long and tedious night tho. The issue with lights took 40 minutes to decide how to proceed when it was obvious all along what the common sense answer was (which naturally occurred, but why rake so long to decide). Either the riders were incompetent or the track was a major issue with fallers galore making a rather tortuous night of rather tepid racing.

Surprised the Stars didn't win by more, sounds like with RR instead of a guest we could have got something out of this match. Plenty of positives for the team to take away.

Allowing the away team to take 4 points away from a meeting is a thumping.
