Wolves v King’s Lynn 2nd Sept
stevebrum replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sick or blown engines (2 apparently)? Sounds dodgy either way. -
His actual 2019 top flight average with Wolves is 4.60 so not the big improver some seem to think. His big scores have been match changers but he has had more poor meetings. Id agree tho, has the potential to improve more and hopefully his average will be low enough to include him next season. Edit, his actual rolling average is 4.60 as well so hopefully will stay low enough then.

He probably won’t be but he won’t do any worse on ability at riding Monmore. -

A bit tongue in cheek but there are plenty of riders currently in the NL that most likely would do better at Monmore. Clegg springs to mind as an example. -

Have you ever seen Porsing at Monmore? Even a NL rider is an improvement. Ostergaard got 9 the other week at Ipswich. So yes he he way more capable of scoring more than Porsing. However hopefully he scores little, ditto the other 6 Stars. -

They can’t apparently due to a visa issue. No Porsing strengthens the Stars. -

Certainly wasn’t the worst meeting on BT of the season, although Wolves were racing. That would be the dreadful Poole track that was a danger and a liability. At present there is no match on Monday on TV -
Coventry?

Yes that’s what I was referring too. Thanks.

Possibly. Swindon are the team to beat tho. -

Finishing top particularly this year is key because one of Ippo or Aces look vulnerable. The other semi should indeed be one tough encounter. -

Took Gollob 2 rides to figure Monmore out! Was awful before. -
Indeed very poor. Never got the preoccupation with some rating him. Good stats, which of course proves how hopeless those next generation riders are on the world stage. Good stats again, seems his career has been in free fall for 5 seasons.

Don’t think Poole will try too hard to take the win, they would much rather Ipswich be in the play offs than Wolves or Kings Lynn because if either do they will be bang in form. -
Pretty much agree, Berntzon is definitely on the rise and can’t be far away from THJ stats wise if anyone has the Polish stats as proof. What any stats prove is that there has been no decent Swedish rider on the world stage since Freddie and Antonio. Thorssell, Berntzon have done no worse on the GP stage than THJ.
-
Not one person even from Ipswich expected them to be anything but cannon fodder. It would be a bit like any Peterborough fan saying they won’t now finish bottom. (Yes we know one troll does but the multi poster doesn’t count).
-
Everyone had Ipswich bottom pre season.
-
Be interesting to see his averages from the main leagues during this time. I don’t ever remember his scoring being that impressive but happy to stand corrected. Sweden are in a poor state if THJ is the best thing since then!
-
I’d agree. THJ should score some points in reserve, so would Worrall if he was in that position. No way is he better these days, not for many days now.
