Keep believing that if you want to. Shame no one told Pete Adams or the riders tho. Shame on you for not reminding them all. Towels already thrown in methinks. -

You call it blabbering nonsense, I call it common sense. wolves chances of realistically making the top 4 ended last Wednesday. Feel free to continue to labour your point, realistically I’m right. -

You call it shocking, I call it realistic. our away form this year is completely indicative of what we expected from last night. up until last Wednesday I shared your view but the dreadful performances sealed our fate there and then. Mathematically we could still qualify before last night and can still. With Somerset missing key riders last night you would have thought it was a prime chance to get points, check the result to see just how likely our away form will help us make the top 4. whoever makes the top 4 will out of the chasing pack will be complete fodder for the much more inform top 3. If we had turned all those great early first half away matches into at least a point we would be a top 4 side by now. Our away form has put paid to that. You clearly have more faith in the team if you seriously believed we had a chance of getting anything last night never mind still making the top 4. id prefer to keep it realistic. -

Seriously, you both think we have or had a cat in hells chance of making the top 4? I’ll have whatever you both were drinking. As plenty have pointed out our away form has been pathetic. In with a chance with many away meetings until the 2nd half then fall away badly. You suddenly believe we are going to start winning away now? We had, realistically no chance since last Wednesday. -

Stars are the new form team. Excellent win for them. no one will want to race them in the Semis. My pick for the title now. -

Fixed race nights... early indications!!!
stevebrum replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
My only point to the TV companies and casual viewer that Monday was and is Speedway nite, league wise. There is a bigger picture obviously. TV SHOULD have made it a vital night for the sport. -

Agreed, it is a major flaw However to SKY and BT Monday night IS speedway night. -

stevebrum replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
In truth many have known the Poole track has been pretty poor for several years now and despite the protest of some it always lets them down. Dont get me wrong, I’ve rated Poole as one of my favourite tracks to visit over the years but it is bordering on dangerous these days. The bumps and holes are shocking. Several British tracks have a poor track record when it comes to their racetrack so Poole aren’t on their own. -

No worries. you can have a guest for your number one anyway. Rory is for Wolves. You can also have a guest for your higher averaged rider if 2 riders are missing. Rr for the 2nd rider. -

Your allowed a guest for your top averaged rider and rr for one below at ANY time in the season. Wolves did exactly the same last season in the play offs with Fred and Jacob out thru injury. The rules are clear on injury replacements. Hope that explains it for you. -

Not the same in the slightest. We are always pants at the NSS so we never stood a chance. How a 6 man team can’t beat a 5 man team (given the 2 missing were from the top 5) is beyond me. Gotta agree on winning the league comment. Bewley completely irreplaceable. -

There isn’t a 10pm curfew at Wolves. Simples. -

How did 5 man Wolves beat the Aces? Great comeback from the boys. The Aces won’t be a threat in the play offs on this evidence. lets hope Rory and Kyle are ok. Been a tough bank holiday for bad crashes. -

Despite RR I think the Aces too strong at home, maybe closer at Monmore tho now with a narrow home win 47-43. -

The ruling can be very clear tho. A season ending injury means just that. It’s very clear. A season ending injury cannot or should be applied to a rider that is riding in another country. That by it’s own definition is not season ending injury! If a rider was to make a comeback in another country the club should lose the replacement facility. Pretty clear and transparent to me. -

Didn’t think it had been changed. Thanks for clarifying. Why? Wolves didn’t last year when they had both top 2 riders injured after the cut off. Absolutely agree WG. I don’t see an issue with being able to replace an injured rider after the August cut off date. And when I see injured I mean season ending. Not able to ride in one country and not another. Nobody could argue the injuries to Dan this year and to Freddie and Jacob last weren’t or aren’t season ending. Dan is totally irreplaceable in his position in the team. Rotten luck but one I hope Dan is able to come back strong from. -

Firstly can only echo the sentiments that a speedy recovery for Dan and if it is a broken leg that he can come back strong when fit. One of the most naturally gifted riders we have had since Woffy. as for an injury replacement for Dan I can’t see how it can be allowed. Poole in 2016 and Wolves in 2017 had dreadful luck with key riders injured that ruined any potential chances of a title bid, particularly Wolves last season. No it isn’t fair but thems the rules. Most importantly tho is the health of Dan at this time. -
Gorzow GP. Saturday August 25th 2018
stevebrum replied to STEPHEN 333's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
On the whole a very mediocre race meeting so far. Granted it’s got better in the 2nd half but not a huge amount of passing. fastest wins, by a mile. Gotta feel for Fast Freddie tho, picking up an injury just before a GP. I hope he can hold on to a top 3 spot this year. He fully deserves it. -
