29.04.2022 League: Scunny v Plymouth
scunny1 replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Some big hitters in the Plymouth line up, this could be a difficult match. MPT, Ben Barker and Gilkes know the track well, throw in the very capable Lawson and Anderson and a very strong line up. Scorpions need to start well ,with all 7 making good contributions to keep the 3 points at the EWR. To any travelling fans ,wrap up well as every match this season has been Baltic with the wind in the NE. -
If MPT is back for Friday and Lawson is guesting, then Plymouth look very strong opposition at the EWR. Quite ironic that Lambo, Palin and Kinsley probably had more laps around the Gladiators track in the past, but scored so few points.

Agree, the easier on paper teams look, the more we seem to make hard work of. Hopefully no potential banana skin and we kick on from last Friday. -

Hope Rob has junked that damn speaker near the start line, that's been a joke for the last 4 years at least. Lots of unhappy fans around us, sort it for Friday please! -

Doesn't seem to like many away tracks apart from Peterborough. If he gates he's ok ,if he doesn't its woeful. -

What age is Student/ OAP? -
Tero got 3 points in his last ride to make 9 points after his 5 heats. Jake got 1 point in his last ride to make 8 points after his 5 heats. Zaine got 2 points in his last ride to make 8 points after his 5 heats.

So basically all the wider tracks, Redcar, Scunny, Belle Vue, Glasgow etc have the better racing!

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2022

Bit of an injury worry, riding for two other teams as well as the Scorpions -
If TJ does change his mind and rides in this league, a fair few Scorpion fans will be well peeved.
-
Yes, and if he stayed on the bike for 4 laps he would have scored considerably more points. Sometimes the red mist came down and he tried just a tad too hard.
-
Yeah and for someone who cage fights and allegedly a tough nut, he was a right drama queen!
-
Kemp trounced everyone at the under19s at the EWR. Shame Scorpions did not sign him.
-
Top six in no particular order- Glasgow Leicester Oxford Redcar Poole Plymouth But if the miracle of miracles the Scorpions stay injury free, then we will be up there amongst them!

Redcar and Leicester are now our local derbies, until Bradford ,Hull or Halifax re-emerge, or Tigers drop down again.
