  1. He's never gonna pull up trees but at home he will cause upsets. Winning home meetings are of the up most important to making the Play-Offs and he's delivered, far more so than Andersen. It helps the team massively that he can gate, even if he ends up at the back he can certainly help the team get 3-3's by just being a nuisance out the gate. I hope the club keep Simon for the remainder of the season
  2. Yep, my last 2 posts if you read them. Do you stop moaning, especially about something there is no reason to moan about?!?
  3. Seems as though many fans enjoyed tonight's racing and R.Lambert was in spectacular form? Very pleasing to read and long may it continue, so the AFA can deliver entertainment, what was the difference to the usual meetings??
  4. Jack has an opportunity to pick points up tonight. What was evident Monday night was regardless of his position, Garrity will ride his bikes to the limit which makes him susceptible to an off. Swindon needs to put Zach against S.Lambert in every heat and Jack against Garrity. Could work perfectly for Swindon
  5. Were 2 laps completed? If so, why was the heat re-run at all?
  6. Heat 6, 9 and 15 were the only genuine races. Some would have enjoyed the 5-1 in heat 13 but Kurtz was easy pickings, not really a race was it. Every other races were done by lap 1 then strung out. Not denying that others found it entertaining purely because the score was close. The racing (Harris & R.Lambert apart) was nothing short of abysmal.
  7. First meeting in a while and likely to be a while before the next one. Apart from 3 heats all races were done by the first lap. Despite the score the meeting totally lacked any entertainment. A good 3 points from the Stars but a very very poor meeting.
  8. I don't think just the win is important, the chase for the top 4 is so tight it's vitally important to stop the Pirates taking a point. Every home meetings from now on has to be a win and a win by 7 points or more.
  9. Correct, he's very ordinary and if Buster sticks a bit of dirt down again he's more likely to score closer to 0 than 15. August 2011 4+1 from 4 March 2013 6+2 from 3 (in Stars team 2013) April 2013 6+1 from 4 April 2013 1+1 from 4 April 2013 - 2+2 from 4 July 2014 8 from 5 April 2016 9 from 7 @reserve July 2016 7 from 5 5.28 average Although Klindt is at reserve he's got real competition from the Stars throughout the team, without doubt he will not be scoring double figures.
  10. I think it shouldn't matter where the R/R is. At all times the No8 should come in at No6 or No7 and everybody else moves up in the team.
  11. Absolute nonsense, there's no way Rosco and Pratt build teams to not win the league and Rosco's recent comments prove that. Swindon have a team averaging over 42.50. That means the rider's averages as a whole are consistent. Just meeting on meeting they're inconsistent. Even if you're no7 was averaging 4 you'd still have the same problems because meeting on meeting a 4 point swing is neither here nor there with you team scores. Swindon's problems are inconsistency NOT the No7.
  12. It's not the 2 pointer that's the problem. It's the consistency of the rest of the team, they're not scoring the points together. You have rider's scoring 12 one week then 5 the next. Smith can score between 1 and 3 and is doing his job.
  13. Swindon are in the same position. The only way to define a successful club is by owning their own stadia. Swindon have been a successful team in recent history, the club as a whole is on the brink = unsuccessful. Good team, bad business model.
  14. I get the feeling some Swindon fan's are a bit sour as they thought at least a couple of Leicester's new boys were on the way to them. Complaining about changes and wanted 2-3 changes in their own team. Rules are rules and I certainly congratulate Leicester for employing 4 Brits with 3 foreigners out
  15. Leicester have done well there. All 4 of the new lads are an improvement imo
  16. Well, looks like if Swindon are to make changes they're literally left with the trash. May as well stick with what they've got I'd say.
  17. I'd say other way round. Poole were done once before when they were bottom, made changes and rocketed up the table. The Play-Offs were moved mid-season from 6 to 4 teams to stop Poole's chances.
  18. I still say there should be a payment cap with every rider in the league paid the same inc bonus points. Premiership - £100pp - £12 admission - No Concessions - Kids Free Championship - £50pp - £9 admission - No Concessions - Kids Free National League - £20pp - £7 admission - No Concessions - Kids Free The better talented rider's would still rise to the top and leave it to the rider's how they spend their money on equipment. Common sense may then prevail that they can profit just as well being a 2nd string on average equipment than the guy spending thousands at No1. That way eventually the costs on equipment slowly comes down to earn more money, even the No1's will soon realise.
  19. Who commemorates a 69th anniversary? Unless there's no chance of 70.
  20. 1. Morris 8.43 2. Ellis 6.89 3. Nicholls 7.35 (Rye average) 4. Rasmus Jenson 4.55 5. Batchelor 8.32 6. Wajtknecht 4.00 7. Mountain 2.78 Total 42.32
  21. Think Nicholls would also be converted Championship average. If so, a steal on 6.07.
