  1. It's always been this way and that's sport in general. King's Lynn have tried something different with their fitness camps, pre-meeting training and are a nice team. Let's wait and see if all the stuff in the background can deliver over teams who love to manipulate and bend rules.
  2. You did see it but it's for assessed rider's averages 16.2.1.6 A SGB Premiership or Championship assessed League rider will establish an MA after 4 Home and 4 Away fixtures, becoming effective 7 days after the last qualifying Meeting. Should an Established MA not be achieved to be effective from 1st May, then the MC may issue a revised MA, based upon actual rides if the Team re-declares.
  3. Kerr is more than capable, held his own in the 2nd string positions before. MPT may be, very slightly weaker than Kerr at reserve but still one of the better reserves in the league. That's more important.
  4. 16.2.1.4 Updated MA’s will be calculated monthly on a rolling basis on all eligible meetings, up to and including 23rd of the month to become effective from the 1st of the following month.
  5. Certainly shouldn't be wildcard at all. Should be top 4 from each qualifier round into the Challenge and that's it.
  6. I'm not suggesting it as I wasn't there. All I was saying is I'd not be surprised if it happened as gaining advantage where possible is part and parcel of sport.
  7. You're very lucky to not be a Stars fan as you would be hung, drawn and quartered for comments like that. They're getting a very touchy bunch if you talk negative.
  8. How many wildcard spots are there?? If it's 3 I do think Lambert will get left out, just because of selection bias towards Ekstraliga rider's. I think I'll be Milik, Hampel, Pawlicki. If 4 picks then Lambert will be in.
  9. I have no problem with teams using whatever tactics during a meeting. It is sport at the end of the day. If Garrity had a couple of duff heats a good, clever team manager would ask his rider's to do what he wants. IRR almost got Belle Vue back into the meeting. One thing that most Stars fans have said over recent seasons is that we're a 'too nice' team. Very rarely does gamesmanship take place. Very often we give our rider's their full programmed rides where replacement would be a better option. That also happened last night in giving Andersen heat 14. Most other managers would have put Kerr in, fortunately it didn't come back to bite the Stars a picked up an excellent away win. Let's see which style of team wins the league this year. Gamesmanship or Fair Play??
  10. That's the thing, no idea on your age or when you started going to Speedway but my opinion is nowhere near the minority. King's Lynn were pulling in around 3000 not all that many years ago. Now the club is lucky to make half that a week. Before I was even going the older folk would tell us all about packed out stadiums week in week out. I can guarantee there are more ex Speedway fans than attending. That tells a whole different story to the few hanging in there at meetings. The main reason for people every year walking away is 'Value For Money'. Once people do walk away it's rare they'll ever return. This is something promoters never seem to grasp. As much as some say that I'm no longer welcome, that's fine but as we're all walking away less than half will be new fans of Speedway.
  11. Ok Jesus, I'll bow down to your superiority
  12. I suppose I should have added what I believe are his 2 biggest failures are imo. 1. Was the simplification of the rule book but what we're actually getting is a more confused and weekly amended one 2. The Premiership had a nailed on £1000's league sponsor that he promised
  13. I'm not against 1 big league, I just can't see who it could be a successful structure. Unlike Shovlar though, it would be so much better racing against a variety of teams once a season rather than the same teams 2 or 3 times a season.
  14. Struggling against rider's he should be beating too, could be the meeting that rules him out the Speedway of Nations.
  15. Really?? We could probably build teams to start the season, that's no problem. The issue is rider's get injured, how 1 big league could deal with that? Rider's riding abroad, how 1 big league could deal with that? There will be clubs crippled financially by being around the bottom of the league. I think the best idea that some have mentioned is North - South divisions.
  16. Surely you're not implying average manipulation? Noooooo, never happen How very dare youuuuu.
  17. Since taking over as BSPA Chairman he made a promise that at the end of his first 3 years we'd notice significant (positive) changes. For me personally I was a massive advocate of his, he couldn't do much wrong. May be I've just changed, I don't know but in these last 3 seasons I think he's been a massive failure for club and country. Totally and utterly lost touch with the people and listens to the few? Is British Speedway any better now than 2015? What's has Chapman done that's improved Speedway?
  18. Since taking over as Chairman he's been an absolute failure. That's not me saying that's the opinion of other teams supporters as we'll now see
  19. That would place British Speedway into an even bigger shambles imo as the best of British fly out to Poland for treble the dough.
  20. This whole thing can be rectified very easily in 2019. The Premiership runs on Monday & Thursday. Redcar, Ipswich and Sheffield can also keep their Thursday night but in doing so they lose the priority of rider's signed to Premiership clubs where a fixture takes place on a Thursday. Sorted
  21. Not quite true, we have 4 home fixtures on the Monday to test the water
  22. It's an absolutely ridiculous situation but there's no chance of King's Lynn cancelling. They wouldn't cancel the Leicester meeting knowing the oppositions 2 best rider's were missing. The Lynn management knows this is an excellent opportunity to bag 4 away points. It ain't a given but the chances are much greater than if Belle Vue have a full team. It's all that is wrong with Speedway, all about taking advantage of others misfortune.
