Looks like Barker will come in on his 2014 EL average of 5.85 1. Batchelor 6.91 2. Barker 5.85 3. Lambert 6.59 4. Korneliussen 5.95 5. Schlein 6.24 6. Wilkinson 3.20 7. Rose 3.00 Ave: 37.74 (2.76 available)

Just a thought, if we have Barker as a Double-Upper then that will also mean we can include Porsing, Stead etc as squad members, the same as Lakeside's done?? With them being EL assets we get the dibs on them all too.

It sounds like it was Simon's choice. He would have had to prioritise King's Lynn fixtures and that's what caused the problem. His sponsorship commitments were to Peterborough so clearly the conflict of interest has played out in this one. Blame still partially on the side of the Stars promotion for not getting the understanding of this in the first place.

You make it sound as though you know who it is? All you need to answer is, will we be bouncing off the wall with delight or ready to kill someone?

The fans wanted entertainment in 2016, Wilko will certainly deliver some of that. Will certainly upset some of the big boys with his trapping.

The Curious Case Of The Invisible Chairman.
Daniel Smith replied to E I Addio's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Let's get one thing clear, and Buster had made note of it his press release. The rules for 2016 were cleared by the previous chairman and if he was in charge he would have dealt with the 2016 rules differently. He said in a radio interview that 2016 was a write off and is working on plans for 2017 already to get ahead of the game. So, in that respect, why would he come out and clarify a situation that was rubber stamped BEFORE he was chairman. Saying that, it has been abysmal that for the coming season we (his own clubs bread & butter supporter's) have been left in the dark. -
It's 'A meal' & which restaurant you going too?
-
1st option so red for me sir I agree with SL too, that if Iversen's GP series falls flat we should stand firm and just say thanks but no thanks. I don't want to see our club treated 2nd fiddle for someone earning extra pocket money.

Lakeside Speedway - Smoke & Mirrors?
Daniel Smith replied to The Voice Of Reason's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I prefer this forum to an individual club one simply because outside opinion can be added. To many people are a bit cliquey on club forums, you dare go against the grain and you'll know about it. -
I'd take Bjerre over Crump every day of the week. Crump's been out the game for 3 years, far too long to come back and be a No'1. Anyone that thinks otherwise is drinking too much alcohol. He'd be 3rd heatleader at best, absolutely no doubt about it. If he was our option it will just go to show what a story mess we're in.
-
Crump wouldn't be good enough as a No'1. He'd probably be 3rd heatleader at best. He'd get bums on seats to start but wouldn't last for long. Saying that, he's better than what we've got now i.e. nobody at No'1.

King's Lynn must be really bad
-
All depending on King's Lynn & Leicester's last signing at the moment it's gonna be a scrap for the wooden spoon. 1. Poole 2. Belle Vue 3. Swindon 4. Coventry 5. Lakeside 6. Wolves 7. King's Lynn / Leicester 8. Leicester / King's Lynn
-
We've only 1 place to fill and it's now becoming critical, Batchelor is the least of our worries
-
We had Joe Jacobs as our FTR last season and quit on us before a wheel was turned so I wouldn't say he's reliable either.
-
Understand what you're saying but if I was a rider it would be 2 fingers to the British EL with no 2nd thought. Money pays the bills, don't p!ss off the Poles
-
Jesus man, stop letting people get under ya skin. Just stop replying to their jibes and get back on thread. You can't call people "kids" then run of with ya ball. How does that look?
-
I disagree, more than capable of averaging an 8 and especially double figures round the AFA. Me personally would negotiate his demands, see how it goes. If it isn't paying, release him. No loss, move on to the next one. Right now, he's the best option available.
-
I seriously think we should just go with Zengota and be done with it. He's an improving rider and is committed to the British EL rather than some other half assed. He finished 22nd in the 2015 Ekstraliga average with a 6.73 average, the toughest league in the world. 5.81 in 2014. He also rode 31 matches for Swindon averaging 6.71 last season. With his last 20 matches counting towards his 2016 average of 7.79 again shows he's improved. We get let down if we go down any other route now imo
-
Just to share, Simon Lambert EL average for last season was an impressive 2.87 from 20 matches for Leicester Lions. I do feel the No'1 will need to knock in maximums week in week out to keep us in meetings as the reserves will get pummelled
-
Bringing in Iversen doesn't fix anything though. It will just make thing worse after his little practice sessions with us. If we've exhausted all other avenues then we'll just have to accept Kenneth Bjerre and us fans and the management will have to deal with the consequences

Lottery Win Speedway....
Daniel Smith replied to Shale Searcher's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
1. Emil Sayfutdinov 8.00 2. Robert Lambert 6.59 3. Przemyslaw Pawlicki 5.75 4. A 5 point untried foreigner 5.00 5. Tai Woffinden 7.03 6. Jason Garrity 5.08 7. Adam Roynon 3.00 Ave: 40.45 -
I disagree. The calibre of rider's that would be on show would be very attractive anywhere in the UK as these rider's would be a novelty. Anywhere else in Europe it would be a flop.

Fours Festival Weekend
Daniel Smith replied to Sings4Speedway's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
A bit harsh. Pricing structure of this event is a genuine and major factor for this to work. You may be a multi millionaire and ain't bothered, but for most in the real world finances have to be considered. Anything over £30 for both days will have to be putting the future of the 2 day event at risk. -
Fours Festival Weekend
Daniel Smith replied to Sings4Speedway's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
People seem to keep saying that the pricing has to be right without giving their own opinion of what that would be. IMO anything over £30 for adult admission for both days would see the event a massive flop as the promoter's need to take the price of overnight stays into consideration.
