Race Suit Regulations
Daniel Smith replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That may be the case but what I was getting at really was that there's nothing in the 2015 regulations that says the legs part of the reacesuits have to be black -
It looks like this has changed / been missed from the 2015 regulations that the Racesuits have to be predominantly black on the legs The only image I've seen this being tested is NKI's new suit at King's Lynn's Press & Practice where he's gone predominantly blue http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i467/KLStars127/Iversen_zpswjauohxc.jpg

Of course they can sign Woffy or Killer if their averages fit. You're making it up.

Rob Lambert Our Next British Hope?
Daniel Smith replied to sommelier's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I think Risager would have gone on to be World class but for injuries. That 1st leg break set him back and never really recovered from picking up further injuries along the way which absolutely hammers confidence. This will be Lambert's test, recovery from injuries. Mental strength As I've said before, at the moment Lambert is a carbon copy of Chris Harris. Great to watch as a racer but can't gate for toffee. Time will tell, he may be a slow burner then bang in his top form from his mid to late 20's. Every rider is different. -
Wrong, 2 over 7 is for the start of the season only. After the 1st set of averages, teams can do as they please. If every rider has a 10+ average they can be replaced like for like. I can only see the 2 over 7 rule being enforced for redeclaration. There's no way if Holder gets injured Poole would only be allowed a 6.99 replacement if North or Watt up their averages.

Torun 2015

AustralianSGP is the last round where the World Champion will be crowned -
It is a hard call but I'm gonna make my 8th - 1st attempt + Play-Off winners 8th - Wolverhampton - Just look utterly dreadful. I think they'll be a huge gap between them and 7th. 7th - Leicester - 2 rider's in the top 5 that are way past their best and riders not great at gating on a gaters track. 6th - Lakeside - ok at home but are just gonna get wacked about away. Only Jonsson will offer any consistency. 5th - Coventry - Consistent 7 point men in the top 3 positions but will suffer in the middle order with Jamrog & Robson. Saving grace to nudge Swindon out of 4th could be the reserves but are known to fall when in vital point scoring positions. 4th - Swindon - The Poles are bound to go missing, whether it's through form or their Polish clubs putting bans on them. This could cause them to just drop out of the top 4 but firmly believe they have a saving grace with the top reserve pairing. 3rd - King's Lynn - huge reliance on Porsing & Lambert for me to improve & push for Schlein's position as 3rd heatleader. More important than the reserve positions for me but if these 2 fall short, a finish as low as 6th is likely. 2nd - Belle Vue - I can't see a weakness at all. A solid top man with the rest of the top 5 possibly chopping and changing with easy 2nd string rides. 1st & Play-Off winners - Poole - no surprise. Gomolski & North to be replaced asap when their averages rise plus the 2nd best reserve pairing. Untouchable from June onwards.

2015 Coverage?

I think you'll find, everyone is being hugely sarcastic. -

Not sure about that. There were good and bad back then too, just some people today don't know how to make their point and move on. People take an opposite opinion as a personal attack and that's where things have got lost. All in all, I still think this place is pretty friendly with plenty of banter. -

http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/11799089.Darcy_Ward__Speedway_fans_take_to_Twitter_as_disciplinary_delay_rumbles_on___/ Gustix says..."I've been watching Speedway since before the internal combustion engine was invented, and I say sign Janowski - a good lad who drinks orange juice and never causes trouble.Ward's wait for a decision is his own fault. i don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but the rule on a decision from an FIM hearing is that the decision is made in writing up to 45 days after the hearing. It never comes in less than 2 weeks. Anyone who thought there'd be a decision in less than 2 weeks is a fool.As Sir Isaac Newton once said - "never believe any quotes you read on twitter" Anyway who is Ward? Who am I? Where's matron?". -

Why can't they be this honest when on here. I'm starting to fall in love with those to. Just needs to be rounded off with Skidder1 and that's the triple crown completed. -

It sure as hell can't be the same guy, CAN IT?!?!?!?:- Steve Shovlar says...He only had the hearing 2 weeks ago...The decision never comes within 2 weeks. In fact if Ward, Middleditch and the Echo bothered to read the F.I.M. rules they'd know that the decision comes in writing within 45 days of the hearing.Ward is being treated no different to anyone else. There's no delay, just normal legal procedure. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime. -
Pleased to see some are getting the full package at £32. Wish I could, the bar stewards won't budge on the £48 we're paying now and we don't have Movies or HD. We're still on the white Sky+. They won't even have us upgraded to HD FOC if we go to the family bundle (even though there's an advert advertising it) We cancelled once, we were on £39 at the time & they went through with it, no call back, nothing for 3 months. We had to go back to them and bang, £48. When the new price for Sports is released, it's got to go as I only watch it for Speedway & Darts. Man Utd games I watch at my old man's. Don't watch any other matches I know I'm being done but the bargaining doesn't work for all

Riders Gardening At The Tapes
Daniel Smith replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The rules have been changed now though. The riders equipment now has to include a compact tractor with a grader no wider than 4ft. This has to be completed within 5 mins including the race itself. -
Bspa Meeting With Ukv&i?
Daniel Smith replied to SteveLyric2's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I'd say Kozza does meet the standards with a 7.15 PL average -
I for one am pleased to see Bridger back. I'm even more pleased he's gone to a big track and moved away from trick tracks. Over the last few years he's had various different personal issues to deal with. After last season I have a new found belief in him. Now he has a real 2nd chance and now is the time to take it with both hands.

Bspa Meeting With Ukv&i?
Daniel Smith replied to SteveLyric2's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
What does this VISA issue mean in terms of the SGP's??? With Holder, Batchelor and Doyle possibly having no UK residency would that mean them excluded from the series or will they have to apply for European VISA's and live in Poland / Sweden etc?? If the latter, couldn't they then still compete in the British leagues without residency??? Surely as part of the EU that VISA would take president over a UK VISA would it not?? Just thinking about potential loopholes -
Riders Gardening At The Tapes
Daniel Smith replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
it is the referee's / Start Marshall's lack of discipline that causes the delays. We at King's Lynn use an electronic 2mins countdown clock on our scoreboard but time after time (home or away rider) the clock gets switched off with 10secs remaining with rider's clearly going over the time allowance yet allowed to continue. Without discipline rider's will take ever inch given. The responsibility 100% is with the officials -
Riders Gardening At The Tapes
Daniel Smith replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
it does help though as it should create a better flow to a meeting but I think they've gone the wrong way about it. with regards to gardening, they just needed GP rules in that riders have to be under starters orders when the 2mins is up & with the false start & returning to the pits. That should still be the choice of the riders but the referee has the responsibility to bang on the 2mins immediately. -
Likes And Dislikes
Daniel Smith replied to customhouseregular's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I like the current GP format. Love the crescendo of semi finals and final as it keeps meetings going right to the end instead of dead rubbers. If the highest point scorer wins the meeting it could mean the last 5-6 heats mean nothing to the other riders if there isn't the semi final / final. If there is, you'll get the 15 point max man in the final knowing he's won so rides round at the back pulling wheelies. What great entertainment that would be The current system keeps meetings alive from start to finish. Regarding the qualifiers, I don't think there should be any at all. The authorities should cherry pick the World's best top 15 with only the meeting Wildcard available for the 16th rider. Having the Harris's, Smolinski's etc do nothing for the GP's. If there is to be a qualification process the only automatic qualifier should be the World Champion. After that, rider's should have their averages combined from the Polish, Swedish & British league's and pick the top 14 from that and 1 meeting wildcard each round.
