  1. I'd put Batchelor at No2. Batchelor is very unreliable but has always done well alongside Doyle. There's absolutely no way you can have the engine room No3/4 as Batchelor & Heeps, an absolute disaster waiting to happen
  2. Unless they're in the GP's they're not a big name imo. So any of the 15 not riding Poland, Sweden or Denmark??
  3. Never thought or seen these words mentioned ever in terms of Ryan Fisher:- World Champion & safe. People used to go in on Nicki Pedersen for the way he rode but Fisher was far worse imo. Only 3 name come to mind as rider's who could have & should have been World Champion are:- Leigh Adams Emil Sayfutdinov Darcy Ward I'd give an outside shout out to Fredrick Lindgren too but he's cost himself a few time just by being reckless
  4. The gate choice was trialled a few seasons ago & scrapped due to teammates wiping each other out on a regular basis into turn 1.
  5. It's all swings & roundabouts for sure but I always feel it's best to have your strongest rider's at No1 & No5. Gives more strength to the 2nd half of meetings.
  6. Maybe not & I hope not but things don't look great as it stands with this team
  7. It's a bit of a yes & no answer. King's Lynn are now between a rock & a hard place. Of course, sticking within budget is important but just as important is to get out of being the worst team in the league. Fans are walking away or picking & choosing meetings more & more & finishing last year in year out will speed up the process. Thus also speeding up the lack of available funds to build decent teams. Sponsorship opportunities get smaller too the worse you get as you start accepting smaller incomes. Finish 6th (as most expect) this year the prospects for 2023 & beyond look horrific
  8. Don't disagree with any of that at all. It's all to do with the makeup of a team too in terms of rider's & increasing averages. Howarth is Sheffield's weakest (team) rider but if they perform as a group they can cover him & his average can increase naturally purely by their strength. They look like a team that can rattle off 5-1 after 5-1. Similar to the super teams we had in the 2nd tier. With our side I don't see that connection happening. I just feel we don't have that capability throughout the team. Obviously that's my opinion, some see it differently. We may go on to smash it & finally win the top league title, it's not impossible & I ove that as much as the next Stars fan. On paper though, we look poor and as I said before, nearly every speedway fan across the country has us bottom.
  9. It's all about what level of rider you think you have. Whether you see improvement or depreciation. I don't see improvement on averages except for Pickering. Jorgensen, Kerr, Lawson & Worrall are at their level. Kildemand average is higher than his recent history suggests he'd perform too. It's all about finding those rider's on an upward trajectory, I don't think we've done that at all. To me we've put a team together that's flat, should be a consistent team just don't see anyone coming in & jumping to the next level.
  10. Again, I haven't criticised the club, and every club should play to a budget, nothing wrong with doing that. I've said it before, this team is waaaaaaaay better than last season but compared to the other (predicted) teams we're still finishing bottom. To still predict us to finish last (that's nearly every Speedway fan by the way) the thought process at this club is out of sync. It's all about hope for us, but what I will say though, it's possible we'll finish above Peterborough & Ipswich imo. Doyle apart, Ipswich are dreadful & I'm not convinced Peterborough can be as good as last year, another year older, Ostergaard won't be as good, losing Pedersen & an unknown Basso. We're heavily reliant on others failures though rather than being on the front foot
  11. I haven't criticised the team or the club. You've chosen to read it that way. My point was that there hasn't been any real thought needed to put this team together. 3 rider's signed last season, 2 released by their club rather than 'wanting' to be at King's Lynn & a young local lad. Kildemand is the only 'outside the box' because no fan would've picked him. Now he's here I hope he does well but he's been absolutely awful for a while now. Pickering can be a great signing, the team could be solid but compared to the others (on paper of couse) we're looking like ending up bottom of the league again.
  12. Really?? Kildemand is the only 'out side the box' signing. Jorgensen, Lawson & Kerr sorted last season. Pickering & R.Worrall released from their clubs & King's Lynn their only other options available, rather than King's Lynn poaching. Thomas a local lad. Don't see any 'thinking put in to it' at all
  13. Have you got qny chance of Hellström Bängs coming in? Enjoyed himself at the SON
  14. 1. Sheffield 2. Belle Vue 3. Peterborough 4. Wolverhampton 5. Ipswich 6. King's Lynn
  15. No genuine firepower in that septet. Nobody I see in their that can significantly improve their average either. Heavy reliance on a quality 7 ride No6 all season is our best hope imo.
  16. I'm amazed some think this teams is nothing. This is by far & away the strongest 7 compared to any other (predicted) team. Wait until you see King's Lynn's tomorrow evening
  17. Grudziadz too for me. Leszno is my (maybe) struggle. Apart from the No1's & No7's it's much of a muchness for me. It's probably they weakest I've probably seen the Ekstraliga for some time
  18. Some very interesting line-ups. For a change (so far) there's definitely 2 teams (maybe 3) that would struggle in the British Premiership imo
  19. This always makes me laugh with rider's averages. He has a very low average because that is his ability, he's finished as a top rider
  20. Would be a madness to pick Crump over Worrall. Crump only offers sentimental value & that's certainly something King's Lynn can't afford in 2022 after the season we had in 2021. We have to be competitive and yet again, with the predicted 7, we're well off it again. Crump would just add further pain.
  21. 15 years ago that would have been a top Ekstraliga team
  22. Although Kildemand is a huge risk this team is 100% better than last years shambles. But here's the kicker. When you look at the other 5 potential teams, we're still ending up bottom of the league. There's just no 'thinking outside the box' with this management team. Safe, very average options again.
  23. Are we really seeing Kildemand at King's Lynn?? I just don't think he adds anything. He's been dreadful in recent years
