  1. Could be , there definitely needs to be some sort of punishment for moving at the start, otherwise it would soon be chaos.
  2. But surely that would just encourage them all to "try it on" & we would soon be back to the bad old "Rawhide" days ,you know "rollin- rollin-rollin".?
  3. But, just as final comment on this subject, that isn't what you first claimed.
  4. One of the very few benefits of being an"oldie" for me.
  5. Ah yes Hyde Rd , so many memories. The BLRC was always around the date of our son's birthday so each year it was a family day out , firstly the Zoo, then off to the speedway which was always a great atmosphere & when that finished the rest of the evening at the funfair along with many other supporters .Great times .
  6. I think the Bradford fire was 1985 ,so later than the sale of Blackbird Rd.
  7. Obviously not comprehensive enough , as you've still failed to understand , I notice that you have changed tack now & it's now "they " sold Leicester & not C O.
  8. With respect that comment doesn't show too much logic on your part.
  9. Perhaps you can explain how anyone can sell a company that he doesn't own? No one person can be accused of selling the stadium it would have to have been a majority vote by all concerned. That's how compies are run.
  10. I think you will find that the Sanderson family were the majority shareholders of the company & no decisions would have been made without their approval.
  11. The company that owned the place, Midland Sports Stadiums Ltd.
  12. I bet I have heard this rubbish hundreds of times previously too. The C O didn't sell Leicester .
  13. Definitely! If only we had a few like him around now. When the C O spoke people listened.
  14. This could be a big day for GB speedway, he mentions integrity & transparency amongst his aims. That would be a massive step forward.
  15. Plus a further court punishment for breaching the conditions of said order.
  16. Probably because Poland has it's fair share of "numpties" just as we do in the UK.
  17. Possibly Ipswich had their hand forced somewhat with the "naughty" press release by Sportowefakty yesterday?
  18. Of course the application could have already been made.prior to the news breaking
  19. Nothing to do with judging from the terraces , I have never stated whether the tracks were suitable or not. It's all about principles, but of course having been tutored about speedway by Mr Ford you wouldn't understand anything about those.
  20. You are getting closer.I think it's fair to say Chapman doesn't want Holder back on his payroll but not for the reasons you suggest.
  21. In my view withdrawing & walking out of a meeting in the fashion that they did is about as disgusting as it gets. Riders "pootling aroiund at the back" is seriously wrong too but proving that riders are guilty of that is not so easy as they will always have a reason why it happened ie bike issues & unfortunately the sport isn't managed well enough to dispute any excuse riders mighjt use
  22. If all riders adopted that approach every time they didn't fancy the conditions we would see very few meetings completed, & to walk out of the meeting was completely out of order. If had been paying the bills neither Holder nor his pal would have ever seen any of my money again.
  23. Were the Poole riders concerned all Holders mates?
