  1. Belle Vue, Sheffield, Wolves and Ipswich must all be concerned about their riders getting in and out of Poland.
  2. It would be so easy to let everyone know via social media and websites why there is a delay, to apologise for it and give us an indication of when tickets can be bought if possible. So quick to do. You’d think with the few loyal customers it has left that British Speedway would treat them as well as it possibly can!
  3. Stumbled across some Go Pro footage from Lynn which appears to have been filmed in April, seems to be a training session for young Brits under the coaching of Rory Schlein. Looks like two lap bursts from the tapes. I could see Bickley, Rowe, Jenkins and Pailin amongst those riding but there are one or two others I’m not sure of including the one wearing the camera. Anyone know who, what, why, when etc? We know the where at least
  4. I’d agree with whoever said fifteen quid for the standard on offer in 2021 (Haza I think) I’d go every week I possibly could at that price. As I said earlier if it was retained at £18 I’d go occasionally but at twenty I will go two or three times I suspect at the most. My other half is a Manchester lass and if we lived up there instead of down here I’d go to Belle Vue every week at £20, it’s that good. The only place I would though!
  5. It won’t be sitting at home though, it’ll be finding something else to do which feels like value for the money paid to do it!
  6. I can see you point of view but consider this, these are the top eight averaging riders from the 2019 season in order; Doyle Batchelor Fricke Jensen Lambert Cook Bjerre Iversen Only two of those will be riding over here this year, the other six have essentially been replaced with junior riders. The pros and cons of that will become apparent as the season progresses but you must be able to see why people are miffed at having to pay more money for a weaker product? That extra two quid will make quite a difference to me, the absence of Robert Lambert takes some of the appeal away immediately but I may have been tempted to go more with a price freeze, bumping it up to £20 just seems like a mickey take to me. Especially if the racing is as timid as it has been in recent years. If they sort the shale out and the AFA suddenly turns into the NSS I’ll eat my words of course
  7. To be fair the confusion created by the EDP was not the clubs fault as the situation was quite clear in the Lynn news but the ticket situation is really poor, and not just an issue with King’s Lynn which makes it even worse.
  8. Spot on, it’s that air of unprofessionalism and lack of customer care. And the annoying thing is that its so preventable.
  9. An explanation would be nice seeing as it was announced officially that all clubs would be putting tickets on sale this morning at 9am. May well be an understandable reason but it would make the governing body / clubs look a lot better if they told us why.
  10. I’d already read on Facebook that Riss has a meeting in Denmark this week and that he has no equipment in the UK until he drives it over so that’s why he wasn’t there yesterday and it seemed pretty clear he would be coming over at the end of this week ready for next Monday.....however Chris Lakey has worded the EDP article quite badly and it makes it unclear which Monday they are talking about. I wonder if his articles get proof read properly as his Linnets stuff in the EDP often has errors in it too.
  11. No Riss at P&P today, nothing to worry about I hope......
  12. I expect the issue people have is that we are paying more for a weaker product....no Lambert, Doyle, Fricke, Thorsell, Tungate etc compared to last time but more to get in. Pubs won’t be serving weaker beer or hotels offering less comfortable beds you’d imagine!
  13. The NSS is the one place I could stomach paying twenty quid regularly.
  14. Absolutely, am sure there is a perfectly good reason for it but imagine how good he could potentially be if he was a few years younger? Hopefully he can still improve rapidly and have a good career at a higher level.
  15. Or just get with the times and buy your ticket online, far easier anyway!
  16. George Rothery looks like one to keep an eye on! A pity he’s not 15 or 16 but that’s double figures on two very different tracks, a great start.
  17. These postponements are annoying but putting the tactical element to one side for a minute the whole process is much more desirable than farting about on a wet evening and not racing many heats if any and wasting everybody’s time. This way of doing it is definitive and everyone knows where they stand nice and early. On another note assuming teams will be racing twice a week to get fixtures in at some point you can this being a big problem for one or two British teams further down the line.
  18. http://www.kingslynn-speedway.com/_mobile/news.php?extend.31066&fbclid=IwAR0IYEvce8SFw5nL4BKiSbhl5GkiOYGSy0loGdVYF4a2IQioeF2ecYSBInc
  19. Different rules for different councils one presumes. Having to wear a mask outside while having to distance is utterly ridiculous but if that’s what the council says then so be it I guess.
  20. There must be big doubts over Klindt, Holder, Bewley and Kurtz at least. Becker rides in Poland too, presumably Masters also? These riders are going to find getting in and out of Poland regularly very difficult.
  21. Similar at Lynn, rumours suggest that a limited number of tickets will be available ‘on the night’ but it’s advised to leave plenty of time for this method of purchase.
  22. It’s all about VFM though......how often is a night out at speedway in this country worth 15-20 sheets?
