  1. You seem to know an awful lot about Robert Lambert. Or think you do.
  2. Poole, Eastbourne, Leicester, Redcar and Glasgow look comfortable for top six on paper. Other spot between Somerset and Edinburgh. The rest look well short without changes. Just for fun of course, please nobody get offended.
  3. Would be very surprised if Cook isn’t back and the ‘surprise’ signing will be a new number seven. Time fir Erik to really push on this year, no reason why he can’t do something similar to what Jensen did at Swindon last season. The ability is there just needs to develop consistency.
  4. I understand that is going to be the case hence Shroeck carrying on as TM so that Dale can promote.
  5. There is a chink of light fellas as it was announced at the talk in the other night that the track will be prepared slicker, hopefully that will mean better racing. Certainly can’t make it worse!
  6. I’m not particularly interested in comparing team strengths in different countries but I do think a rider broadening their horizons by getting as many meetings abroad as possible on different tracks of different shapes and surfaces and the types of circuits major world meetings are races on can only be a good thing. The problem is that meetings aren’t guaranteed abroad with squad systems and you can’t blame any rider for signing for a Championship team for what is likely to be decent money.
  7. There seems to be this general idea that Sheffield are going to be brilliant because they’ve got Pedersen to come back over here and that signing Kildemand will make Belle Vue world beaters? I don’t think we will look too different to them once our full team is revealed. I certainly don’t see our side being built on the cheap at all. Swindon stand out on paper because of their top four but even that could be very different once the racing begins.
  8. I think we all knew the top three would be powerful, the reserves are going to make or break this team.
  9. Jorgensen is in the team because he scores well and entertains at hone, simple as that. They obviously believe he will pull his finger out away from home but I’m far from convinced.,
  10. Andersen had a pretty bad season with injuries and rode as a heatleader for much of it, if he is in the team as a second string and has a clear run free of issues I think it’s inevitable that he will improve his average.
  11. I’m guessing the middle five with Tungate and Nicholls being incorrect.
  12. With some of the clients on this thread don’t bet on it
  13. Don’t think that will be a million miles out.
  14. Lynn is a unique surface, I wouldn’t judge anyone on one performance there.
  15. This is what people don’t get about Lynn signing Proctor. Don’t get me wrong he could be a poor signing but just because he had a bad 2019 doesn’t mean he won’t be a good reserve this coming season.
  16. Dedication to what? King’s Lynn? British speedway? Speedway in general? I think it’s good to have two very good riders pushing each other to be number one, should give them both extra incentive.
  17. The Lynn surface doesn’t help either, no point busting a gut if it’s going to make no difference.
  18. I’m disappointed he didn’t return to Lynn, one of the few who can pass there nowadays and a solid second string / strong reserve.
  19. I thought Cook filled the Puk void quite well last season while recognising he had one or two dodgy meetings and that he can probably improve in 2020 with more meetings at Lynn.
  20. I can’t see Iversen doing four leagues and GP’s but I hope I’m wrong as we all want P’boro and every team to be competitive. I wouldn’t see it as a kick in the teeth as a Lynn fan, when he was last with us his average dropped and he wasn’t his usual self especially at home, it kind of feels like we’ve seen the best of him and in Cook we have a pretty good replacement.
  21. Are you saying we may finish third As we’ve seen over many seasons what a team looks like on paper very often doesn’t ring true. Everybody seems to be fancying Sheffield but I just don’t see it personally.
  22. I like to think of myself as having a balanced opinion. I don’t think being completely positive or totally negative does anyone any good. I would also have had MPT back but he has a higher average than the two second strings signed so until we know the whole team it’s impossible to know the circumstances of his non inclusion. Mad for attitude and effort, I’ve always wondered how anyone can know how many per cent a rider is putting in unless he is quite obviously trailing at the back. Riders can be low in confidence aboard a speedway bike and look as though they don’t care when in actual fact they are trying their hardest. I’d be interested to know who you think was lacking in attitude and effort last season.
