Lynn are going to do well to hit 30 in any away fixture with the current team. Going to be a hiding!
-
And a competitive number seven.
-
Do you genuinely think Ipswich look worse than Lynn

Belle Vue Aces v P'boro Panthers BHM (31/05) Midday...

Never mind his score, where were Bjarne’s team kevlars tonight? Was wearing the dreaded flapping team shirt instead -

Absolutely agree, but the people who run our sport are light years behind where they should be do it’s no surprise really. -

Well done Panthers, need to get the job done at home tonight to save this result going to waste though. -
You just don’t get irony/sarcasm do you

This wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest.

Sounds to me from the tone of the interview that he was doing as he was asked by the riders but they couldn’t agree on what the track should be like..... Unacceptable for that to happen on race night IMO, get these issues ironed out pre season and be on it from heat one, no excuses.
-
Interesting comments from Tomas Jorgensen on Radio Norfolk this evening, saying there were ‘too many opinions’ flying around last night and that Buster ‘changed the track three or four times’ throughout the evening. Sounds like an unharmonious camp

Nail on head.

I think the deal with Lawson was probably agreed in principle weeks ago before Riss changed his mind about riding over here. Shroek’s comment about the pits not being a good place to be last night in the context of Cook leaving says quite a lot I’d imagine.
-
One would imagine Lawson was lined up before Riss had a change of heart so it’s possible something happened last night and Lawson was sorted before this morning.
-
Christ almighty. There must be other changes to accompany this one surely.

Indeed. I think everything about Lynn speedway feels incredibly stale at the moment, the team is full of journeymen and the promotion lacks spark and enthusiasm to push the club forward, Glad to hear the track was slicker but its pointless if the scores aren’t closer to provide some competitive action. It’s difficult not to be envious of Wolves’ side, full of youthful exuberance to go with a couple of older wiser heads plus a decent number seven (even though he shouldn’t be a rising star but that’s another argument). Will be interesting to see if the promotion have the balls to make more than one change and try to spark the season into life.
-
Really? This league is essentially the same standard as the Championship bar a few riders and he should in paper be one of the top men. His head obviously isn’t right at the moment for whatever reason, will be interesting to see how he fares for Glasgow now and if he pops up somewhere else in the Premiership.
-
I think something probably happened or came to light last night, its disappointing that a British rider who could potentially have been the top man in this league has gone so soon. My concern is that a replacement who is any good is going to miss meetings. It’s been a shambolic start to the season with the team building badly exposed, I hope they can sort it quickly for the sake of getting people back through the door.
-
I didn’t expect them to lose at home by nearly thirty, or for Cook to score three! But it always looked like a 6th place side. I’d persevere with Bridger, he’s been out long enough to be given more time but Proctor and Kinsley should never have been signed really. No idea who would find in for them but there must be better options. There is very little time to waste on a twenty meeting season.
-
I think we can safely say that this Lynn team is a fair way short of being good enough unfortunately.
-
You’ll always have those who moan no matter what mate, best filter them out. I think it’s more of a worry that the thread is so quiet, at least if it was full of moans it would be being talked about 46-44 or 44-46 tonight, can’t decide.

Ipswich vs Sheffield 27th May
Bagpuss replied to 2ndbendbeerhut's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yep, what little credibility British speedway had left has eroded away a little more with this. It’s a shame as this was a good opportunity to reset and start afresh with some proper integrity. -
Anyone bothered / going?

Do what’s the deal.....can’t be bothered? Been told by Toruń to stay in Poland so he is fresh? Or can’t physically ride in both meetings? -

Scunthorpe v Plymouth - Championship - 21.5.21
Bagpuss replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Big risk going with three untried foreign riders in the top five, you can see Plymouth getting more hidings away from home.
